Story: 8
C: The Money of Soul and Possibility Control (will be referred to as "C" from now on), definitely had an interesting story. In terms of an interesting concept of a world controlled by money and a world giving profits through battle. If anything, the way the world was constructed help tell an interesting story of one kid and his growing understanding of both worlds and the story of a man who seeks to preserve the present by destroying the future. If anything, C gave out a pretty straightforward conflict of the future vs. the present as well as giving some pretty fleshed out characters

This was probably the shows weakest point, but not a very weak one and the score should give credit to how strong / moderately strong the other points were. If anything, the actual character designs, animations and background felt wonky or not as top-notch as the concept was. In fact, it'd be slightly jarring to immerse into either the real world or the Financial District due to how awkward some of the artwork / animation was. However, it was't so bad to the point that it would detract from the actual story or anything else. It was something that could've been better, but it does not completely destroy the series in any way.

Now this might seem like an interesting score, but I'm giving this score in the sound department not just because of both the amazing opening and ending, but because of the actual sound effects. If anything, this series did not hold back on any beautiful battle sounds. The sound of "Direct" by the feminine robotic operator as well as the amazing effort of Msyu (can't remember the seiyuu at the moment) of giving out distressed screams whenever she was harmed just added to each battle scene. On top of that, the English was pretty spot-on and the entire seiyuu cast should be given at least an honorable mention. The cast really kept the characters well-cemented in a series that I might have otherwise hated. At the least, the sound effects from the fight scenes really sold me on a great sound score.

It was a little hard to rate this because of two factors: I hated the protagonist for awhile and minor characters seem to just disappear whenever. While some may argue the latter is the actual nature of the show, but I can't help but feel it was due to time-constraints / rushing / bad-pacing. But the Character score gets a higher score than what I would have normally given just because of the fact that the protagonist went through change. If anything, the main cast was not completely static! If a series has a non-static cast, or even a semi-dynamic one, then it's already a better series than at least half of the shows out there. While that last bit is a slight exaggeration, I'm just emphasizing the importance of such dynamic character development. That's also why I can't completely bash on the protagonist either; he doesn't just stay a brat who cries.
Enjoyment / Overall :8
This show wasn't quite an emotional roller coaster as Clannad After Story, nor was it quite an adventure / fantasy / romance ride like Guilty Crown or Legend of Legendary Heroes, but it had it's own merits. It isn't something ground-breaking, but it is definitely in it's own league.
I'd imagine that this series would quench the thirst for some Spice and Wolf fans as well as maybe some Guilty Crown fans. Or, at least in non-meta terms, fans who enjoy some moderate romance (or slight, I should say), combat, fantasy, and some seinen-esque level of reflecting on the world. A little lighter than Psycho Pass, but definitely darker than Legend of Legendary Heroes.
Great show through and through, and one show you wouldn't want to miss in the future.
