This is one of those shows that start off with a great 1st episode, it catches you by its animation, the scenes, the fighting is amazing, the story has you hooked on the feeling of "something crazy is about to happen" and then... It happens... Oh boy...

As the show goes further the animation takes a whole new direction, instead of amazing 2D hand-to-hand combat with insane ninjutsu mixed with it, we get Iron Man style mech suits that appear to come out of nowhere and just turn the whole thing into a 3D sh*t fest. Nothing against 3D since it's can be a very good ... tool when used right but in this case it wasn't, the CGI feels weird, not fluid and, to be honest, a downgrade from the quality of the 2D combat animation presented in the anime. Even on the scenes where they start to fight without the suits, where it's all hand-to-hand, the quality is amazing, top tier and then something always happens that they need to put on their suits and the quality decreases exponencially, which it's a crazy decision to make when directing an action packe show.

The story isn't anything breathtaking, it's basically a revenge story John Wick style: Ninjas can't feel emotion, the MC and FMC fall in love and have a baby on the way therefore they need to leave, but everyone who leaves is hunted and killed. They kill MC wife and child, he then goes "Imma fuck yall up... There will be no ninjas left"... And for some reason (again, which is crazy imo) they decided to throw some Iron Man mech suits into the mix.

Character wise, not much to say, the show goes on a very fast pace (you can even say rushed) so there's not much development, MC is kinda bland, they don't really give a reason to hate him but there's nothing insanely loveable about it either. The supporting characters are better written than the MC and their story are good. The Villain is good throughout the whole show EXCEPT the end, when they have to make him fight and then we go back to the whole Mech suit and it kinda ruins it, since he spends the whole show just rocking everybody with his bare presence and powers UNTIL its time to fight for real, then he never uses his powers and just use his suit (which is crazy, again... For the 3rd time).

Overall, I wouldn't the show is a waste of time. It got some good elements to it, some cool fighting scenes and background at certain points, but it's not also I'd say you MUST watch. I would say it's one of those shows that you can watch when you're bored, wanna something to pass time, not think about much and see STUFF happening on the screen. Some like it, most people dont...
