When I wrote my review for the first season, I admitted that I would’ve been perfectly content with the story stopping at this fine soft conclusion. I feel we all, characters and viewers, had endured enough suffering. But we are thrown back into the ring because of the success of the previous season.

Simply put, this is just not as enjoyable as the first season. The animation and source material does not compete. Unfortunately, establishing a connection with new characters seems much more difficult.

Fushi is becoming overly ethereal at this point. It’s come to the point where the surrounding characters are only developing because of ... Fushi. The conflict now becomes what is the limit for Fushi. Nothing else to me matters, and that’s why I have dropped the show.

I like to give almost all seasonal animes a chance, but funny enough I immediately dropped this when I first attempted to watch this show. I am so over this recently overused theme of government simulator. I was in no mood to once again learn about supply chain management, so I initially dropped this show because of the beginning plot and meh animation. But I saw people online recommending it, so I gave it another go and I’m glad I did. This show will not wow you by any means, but the characters are likeable and the plot twists are actually well constructed. There’s definitely ... much better anime out there, but this is far from garbage.

Ugh, this show needs more attention! I had extremely low expectations for this ballet anime, but right from the very first scene I was just as captivated as Junpei, our MC. Junpei is a typical popular schoolboy that is always cracking jokes and fooling around in class. He is on both the soccer team and is training to be stunt man just like his father who unfortunately tragically passed. However, Junpei's true ambition from a young age is to become a ballet dancer, but he regrettably represses this initially as he is overwhelmed with the belief that he has to be the man of the ... house. He eventually formally returns to his passion of ballet, but honestly he truly never left. Every episode sparkles with a new performance, and I've learned so much about the intricacies of ballet at the same time. I really like how flawed the main characters are in this anime, as they are still kids at the end of the day! You don't have to like ballet to be interested in this anime. You just have to be interested in a good story, and Dance Dance Danseur provides this, and then some. There are some moments of CGI during the performances, but the animation and music are still mesmerizing. Give this anime a try before the next batch of seasonals come out, because I don't want you to miss out (and I also wan't more seasons of this to be made). Thanks :)

Why is it that whenever we have a good woman character in anime, the rest of the cast has to be absolute dog water? Shikimori single-handedly plays the role of both the boyfriend and girlfriend in this show, because Izumi genuinely cannot do anything without something bad happening to him. This bad karma trope is kinda funny to start, but it just never goes away. Izumi never grows, and Shikimori just kept having to save him. Izumi is on par with the MC in Rent-a-girlfriend, but at least that show is spicy enough to get you to the end of the season. No matter how ... pretty and amazing they make Shikimori, I simply cannot stand to watch anymore of this.

As someone who does science research for a living, it's pretty neat to see love explored from the lens of a researcher with a lot of funny moments mixed in. This season is actually even better than the first, and tackles very real issues. I don't want to spoil the plot tied to these concepts, but repressing your true feelings to fit in as well as a parent's influence on academic success are things I did not expect this rom-com to address and do an amazing job depicting.

The biggest obstacle this show runs into is that it is running alongside Kaguya-sama, which is probably ... the best rom-com anime ever at this point. The animation will not wow you with this show, but stick around for some cool science and even cooler romance.

I'm not gonna lie, this is the best animation that J.C. Staff has ever done. I remember finishing the first episode of this, going to MAL to add it to watch, and then having an open mouth like that one pikachu meme when I saw they animated this. But to dive into the anime itself, it loses people really fast. It's an isekai that tries desperately to come off as being different but falls right back into the same basic formula. This is pretty much an isekai yuri but the people being isekai'd are actually detrimental to this society due to their destructive powers. Once ... you realize that the plot revolves around this one character having to eventually die, it gets boring. I often don't understand the motives of any of the characters, and when I do I'm just like this is stupid. Oh well, I hope JC Staff can keep up this animation quality in future projects.

It's been three years since the first season of Shield Hero, and a lot of people are just now coming to terms with the downward spiral of this show. I remember watching the first episode with my friend back in college, and we were just as hype about it as we were with demon slayer. But once the main conflict of the show is resolved in the first season, it just became another generic isekai. I heard they skipped a LOT of backstory for the turtle arc to begin this season, which explains why everyone hated it. I'm sure people in charge of the anime ... just wanted to rush through that part, but couldn't skip it entirely for plot implications. The animated is also clearly a step down from the previous season,

If you are able to stomach these dips and the first arc, the story following the turtle mumbo jumbo does drastically get better. It's still not on par with the best anime this season, but at least it goes from unwatchable to half-heartedly watching.

When you get rejected by a girl, what do you do? A lot of times, you would get sad and cry about it for a bit. Maybe focus on self-love and spend more time with friends. OR GET ABSOLUTELY SHREDDED OUT OF SPITE. To be fair, all these things are what actually happen with a lot of guys. I myself have even gotten out of relationships and tried to make myself better mentally or physically to show that person what they are missing out on. Of course, you obviously need to be doing things for yourself and not make changes because someone else told you. ... But our MC got called fat as a kid and is now a hunk to try and ruin this person that rejected him.

I think a lot of people are already turned off by this revenge plot, but this seriously happens. I've even motivated myself in the gym (which I gotta get back to I've been slacking this month) to do an extra rep because "screw this person". I understand our MC's reasoning: this now queen of insults was his only friend growing up who he thought betrayed him which he used as motivation every day for years to get fit. Of course that would be engrained in your mind for revenge since it was the only thing keeping him going.

On to the actual show, the first 7-8 episodes are STRONG. There's great humor and the characters are all entertaining. If it only stopped there, but we unfortunately had to see a terrible plot twist which a fat kid pretended to be the old fat kid (our MC in the past) that for some reason the ice queen liked. The manga reveals why later if you want to read it (it's finished). It's trying to push this narrative that any shape or size can be loved, which is fine but this person faking it is so boring. Genuinely never felt like a threat to the actual MC. I know the story needed something for the MC to confront his past, but this was such a silly way to do it.

I had to know the ending, so I read the manga, and it actually ruined everything I came to like in this anime. The motivations for some characters were even shallower than before, but at the very least there was a happy ending. The comedy on this is really good. Unfortunately, the last couple episodes to the show really took a nose dive. Not really a must-watch at the end of the day, but if you want a harem comedy then go crazy with this.

This show is actually fun to watch, but I have to admit that it is a bad guilty pleasure. This is primarily a harem anime with an obvious best girl winner and power fantasy. A different woman's blood typically unlocks another powerful ability of our MC as he tries to overcome life on an island where billions of dollars of damages in incurred on the daily. The sidekick is just as absurd, crying over our immortal MC getting killed even when she knows he's immortal or her blood could fix whatever plot is preventing him from coming back to life. And she has this stupid ... catch-phrase that she blurts before every big fight which got old very fast.

In Strike the Blood, it is as straightforward as it gets. The battles are cool and our MC is a nice guy Chad. He doesn't even have to try to get women to fall for him and want his offspring. Seriously, some of the characters literally propose it. I already know that this show is trashy and stupid, but it is still somehow entertaining and funny. Each new power unlocked is unique and the characters are all surprisingly decently written (besides the whole harem shenanigans). This is pretty much the Index series with an even worse plot. But even after all this just like with Index, I'm still watching it. I'm still going to get through every season because I need to see our MC unlock all of his powers and romance every woman in the world. I need to see him become a god. I need to see him BEAT GOD, which I could honestly see happening in the last season. Well, I'll find out soon enough.

This show honestly just made me sad. While the art-style was unique and fun, the whole premise of the show is so depressing. A girl that literally has only one friend, doesn't talk to anyone at school, and is so self-destructive that it honestly might be better for her to end up in a mental hospital. There were funny moments, especially the dating sim with the "massager" that our MC fell asleep to only for her Dad to walk in and leave most likely scarred. But to me, this is a sad reminder to me that people actually are like this and have a deluded ... mindset. This is probably defined as a comedy, but it honestly could be viewed as a horror on how spooky it is to live life brainwashed. Life is not easy. Life is not a game. Life is not fair. But it is vital to realize these unfortunate truths growing up and to still find the beauty to living.
