Both of these OVAs are produced from the same studio, Idea Factory. Both of these anime OVAs are an absolute abomination. Actually, abomination doesn't even begin to describe these two hell-spawn shows. They are so horrible to the point that watching both of them feels like looking at the bottom of a deep abyss and seeing nothing but darkness for all eternity. Watching these two OVAs will make you laugh uncontrollably until you start coughing out blood. Please I beg of you, unless you are a masochist or you hate yourself, please stay away from these two OVAs. Trust me, I'm doing you a huge favor here. Go out there and watch something that's actually worth your time and enjoyable. As always, this is just my opinio.....actually screw that. These two shows are the alpha and omega of bullshit. Trust me.

Higurashi no Naku Koro ni and Puella Magi Madoka Magica are both shows that are pretty deceiving at first. Both shows start with a cutesy, moe atmosphere until revealing their true colors eventually. Both shows can be somewhat disturbing at times. Both shows have a similar concept to them. Both shows have a solid cast of characters. And finally, both shows are great at what they do. Higurashi is a solid horror, mystery anime while Madoka Magica is my definite go-to magical girl anime. I definitely recommend both of these anime cause chances are that if you enjoyed one, then you'll most likely enjoy the other. But that's just my opinion.

Both shows have a very similar concept around them. Steins;Gate and Re:Zero are both produced by the same studio, White Fox. The main protagonists of both shows can act like goofballs at times, but become serious and dependable when it comes to helping others out. I don't want to say too much as it's best to go into both of these shows blind and I definitely recommend both of them. Steins;Gate and Re:Zero are both fantastic shows produced by White Fox though Re:Zero is very controversial at times. This is only my opinion though.

Both shows are about cooking and contain scenes with mouth-watering food in it. The major differences are the studios behind it and the genres of the show. Koufuku Graffiti is your everyday slice of life produced by Studio Shaft while Shokugeki no Souma is an ecchi, shounen produced by Studio J.C. Staff. Whether you want a relaxing slice of life or a faster-paced shounen is totally up to you. Both shows are good in their own respective ways and if you like tasty food especially, I recommend both. This is just my opinion though.

Fate/Zero

Both are dark and very mature anime. Both are written by Gen Urobuchi aka 'Urobutcher'. And both of the soundtracks in these two shows are composed by Yuki Kajiura. There's not much to say as it's best to watch either of these shows blind and if you are looking for a serious and dark anime, I would definitely recommend both of them. I also like to add that the main characters for both Madoka Magica and Fate/Zero share similar abilities. Both shows contain great psychological meaning in them and that's why I love them. But then again, this is only my opinion.

Ok, right off the bat, both are beautiful series with sad moments and tear jerking endings. Both series hold a lot of meaning in them and depending on what kind of person you are, these series can really touch your heart. There are really good life lessons that can actually be learned from both of these series. Both anime contain beautiful soundtracks and really good development for its characters, especially its main male characters. While Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso contains more humor than Clannad, it still does the job well of hitting you with feels. I must warn you that if you are one that hates slow pacing, then I highly suggest that you avoid both of these anime as both of them are rather slow paced. However in my opinion, that's the beauty of these two series and if you like the pacing of Clannad, then most likely you'll enjoy the pacing of Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso. Overall, both series deserve a chance and who knows, it could be life-changing for you. But then again, that's just my opinion. (Note: I almost forgot to mention that be sure to watch Clannad before you watch Clannad: After Story as Clannad is a very important prequel before the emotional After Story.)

Both of these series are psychological thrillers and involve the main characters determined to do anything to save the one they love. They both also have a very similar concept that actually compliments each other quite well though you have to watch both to understand what I mean. This is just my opinion, but both series have been regarded as masterpieces in their own right though your own opinion can vary. Madoka Magica in particular, is a controversial series that may have things that you might not like. Don't let that turn you off as both Steins;Gate and Madoka Magica are special series that contain a lot of meaning and hidden messages in it. For anyone that hasn't seen Madoka Magica, it may not look like a psychological thriller at first. There are slight hints, but the series really shows its true colors on episode 3 so I recommend giving this the otaku three episode rule. Overall, if you enjoyed one, then you'll most likely enjoy the other and personally, these series both deserve a watch. But then again, this is just my opinion.
