Shomin Sample is an example of a one of a kind ecchi series. The premise is original, guy gets kidnapped and forcefully gets transferred in another school full of Ojou-samas (Lady-like Girls) to become the "your average citizen" example. But I'm not here to talk about the synopsis, I'm here to talk what i think about the show.
It is enjoyable, Ecchi yes but not very much. A lot of Ecchi anime fail to balance out its storyline and the ecchi genre of the anime which in result the show just strays away from the story. While the show does focus on the harem aspect of
...
it, it doesn't stray away from its main premise.
the whole thing is very lighthearted, there's actually not much to intensity in the show and just makes it your casual comedy ecchi anime, which I would think is a bad thing, Why? There are a lot of casual ecchi anime, it's not new to see but seeing as there are a lot of shows to compare it to, its gonna feel lackluster.
So do I recommend the show?
Yes, Reason being simply that the show's premise is original.

Magi: Sinbad no Bouken
I'd like to introduce you, the show that has been pretty much ignored in the mainstream shounen genre, while still has its loyal fanbase, it has been ignored by a lot of people of the modern generation (2020+).
Magi: Sinbad no Bouken is a prequel to the much earlier released Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic. It shows the adventures of Sinbad, Met with a lot of scenarios, challenges, and happenings that He constatly overcomes. Like He says himself; "Don't be frightened by the waves. If we read the flow of the waves and accept them, we can overcome it. There's no wave that
...
can't be". Moving on to the review
The intro is fascinating giving us a feel of the emotions that is flowing in our main character Sinbad, a mix of hatred and hope, determined to change the world. The intro accomplishes all of its aspects, great introduction of the key characters, sequence and a feel for the pace of events, and most important of all is the reason for a goal. I always remind myself when watching action anime that; "The battle is only measly important than seeing what you are fighting for". The anime is not just throwing out battles like there's no tomorrow, every fight has a sense, a goal, a purpose. There are a lot of shows that throw in battles just because they are awesome to look at, for example tournament arcs.
Going through a different topic the show doesn't heavily rely on plot armor but more on a sped up timeline. Not showing any training arc whatsoever while still have some evidence that they have trained off-screen. All of the battles so far have reasonable outcomes, it happened unbiased to the mc, and well looked very natural. No burst of friendship power or anything like that that gives you some sort of red aura that gives off high physical prowess and some fox claws. yea.
Then there's the adventure part where it puts all of its efforts in. The mere concept of the series is Sinbad going to an adventure to change the world so pretty much the main goal is making the adventure exciting and enjoyable. This is accomplished by making Sinbad go through countries/places that have peculiar people/creatures. All having unique cultures and beliefs making it feel all new and exciting.
Wrapping this review up I really enjoyed the show. Finished it with one go which I don't actually do often. It gives off a feel of sudden disappointment since it didn't really show a lot when it should (well maybe in the sequels but who knows). I don't understand how and why people rate the show though since in MAL this series is put off as 7.89 (as the time of writing) which is pretty underrated if I say so. Well different people may see different things so there's that but I would think that the majority would atleast rate it an 8.
And goes the question, Do I recommend this?
Yes, it's lighthearted on telling a story so it's easy to absorb, also being a long time premiere shounen of the past it's a good way to start your otaku life, either a casual watcher or an avid fan of the industry would likely still find themselves love this and indulge in. You may also consider watching this show only after watching the 2 other Magi Sequels that was released on an earlier date which is weird but the goal is probably to give it a flashback and looking at the past vibe.

Meh, the show is really trying its best to become somewhat very exciting, it is utterly visible because of the frequent "no way!" moments, always revealing some sort of secret that may be actually thrilling if not abused. This show fails the task though.
This is a harem, mecha, shonen, infinite stratos(?) anime featuring characters with atleast a shard of dark past in a minimum. A lot of incredibly cliché moments abused improperly making it possible to asleep watching the show. Heck I watched this show in all humid afternoon and I already am feeling sleepy.
Story felt lackluster, there's not much to say about development,
...
the show's character traits stayed pretty much the same from beginning to end. Even the harem relationships feel weak as well since there are too much "it's not true" moments when a girl gets emotional then suddenly blames herself and all. I just can't see people unironically liking the show.
Props to the CG of the show though, it's actually better than what I'm used to see
Do I recommend it?
Well no. yeah, no. Well if you want a boring bed time story to make you sleep then sure I guess.

There are bunch of isekais released in the past decade some great some weak but there's this particular type of isekai which I like to call "light isekais". These type of isekai shows don't have really heavy plot and it doesn't really offer much on the story side of things. Though this may seem bad at first, these types are more associated with non-isekai shows that also doesn't really on heavy plot but instead on comedic values (e.g Azumanga Daioh, Nichijou).
This is one example of a light isekai, it isn't reliant on it's plot progression but instead offers its comedic values. Though it does
...
have plot progression, it's better to say that it's only part of the package.
Now let's talk about what it's got. The comedy of the show is superb early on enhancing each and every episode though later on it falls off and just becomes repetitive, And that's where its plot progression clutches. It does this by rushing through the story steadily then plan its conclusion and this includes thing like build-up, anticipation, and a resolution arc. Though I don't think it's something amazing, I can say it's fairly decent though.
So one thing I actually noticed on the show is that fight scenes have better animation than other scenes. The other scenes looks really sloppy and stiff tho going through thw fight scenes it's flow is really good.
Actually not much to talk about this show so lets proceed to the conclusion.
Do I recommend this show?
Not really. This show offers a lot less than other shows of its genre. Though this one in particular is fairly decent, I still don't see myself thinking about this show whenever someone asks "hey recommend me some isekai".

Actually the best season this show has to offer yet. It catched my heart in the first 5 episodes and got me into an unexpected feeling of excitement.
The third season features a lot of intense thrilling happenings. Now it doesn't rely much on the talk-no-jutsu of the show but it actually takes actions and strats now.
In the first few episodes, we are featured with something that has an entirely unique approach of the show. The bunch now has a intense, thrilling challenges, and complicated trials have fallen unto the MCs responsibilities. This gives the show its need for entertainment since there was not
...
much to offer last season.
But During the last parts is where the excitement starts to come forth. The later episodes hit me hard because there is a concept that many dating sims feature which are save files. These files are very useful since you can just load one if you need to; change a decision that may affect the story entirely, to see past dialogue you've missed, and just to see different scenes you've gone past to. The show corporates this in a way that the story actually now progresses and makes sense though I won't talk about much here. Nonetheless it is very well done.
Though the only downfall of this season is the sudden drift of animation. Bruh it downgraded hard man. Somehow the past seasons have better animation then 4 years later you give us this? Man it's just so bad. Not saying that the studio didn't put effort in this one but they could've done better.
I'm surprisingly liking the show as it is right now and please, don't disappoint me season 4.

Was surprised by its actual progression. The story really felt something worth looking for. It starts off as calming as it should be continuing where we left off the second season then starts to build up its pace immediately.
It has the most unique endings ever and definitely the best current ending in the whole series. Though the movie felt lackluster in some departments, it is still a good one provided that it has an unusually short time period for a movie at 1hr and 12mins only and less if excluding credits.
The appearance of the new character is something to take note of. Since
...
the new character did not just appear out of nowhere unlike the other ones. It has great build up starting off as something mysterious then becoming a little bit more clear until the revelation.

The sequel that actually didn't feel like a sequel it's much more like another 1st season.
Straight to the point it does not have much to say to its plot progression. It's basically still introduction arc introducing a lot of new characters, new spirits, new antagonists, and new additions to the harem.
It does stray away from the dating sim aspect of the show which made it fine I guess but it still relies on less action and more romance. It shows that the action, sci-fi, and mecha aspect of the show is just part of the package and the only real thing we are
...
supposed to look at on the show is the harem, romance, dating sim, and the talk-no-jutsu aspects of this show
Though seeing the new characters are pretty unique in a way, I'll give them plus points for that. Though I won't forgive them still because of the slow progression the show has. The show almost just not have any character progression "yet" which is kind of odd considering we are 23 episodes in the whole series.
Just a short review for y'all folks since there's honestly not much to say of this sequel. I still don't exactly recommend the show for the reasons stated above and from my review of the first season.
It just lacked some action and the end just felt rushed you see.

I actually have already watched this show 8 years ago when it first came out, Thought it was trash, Then dropped it. 8 Years after, today, with much more watchtime on various anime and experience from playing dating sims and visual novels now rewatching it made me change my mind about this show.
I do tell you right of the bat that this show is no near masterpiece. It still has a lot of mishaps though I do think it's a pretty decent one now with experience.
The show has pretty much lots of elements in a dating sim, heck it is pretty obvious that referencing
...
a dating simulator was taken into account when making the storyline.
It does well in presenting a Dating Sim environment. Guy who has tasked to basically make girls fall in love with them, to basically save humankind. While a small group of people helps him by using a 3 choice system similar to decision making in dating sims. Plus hitting the worst decision may lead to cringeworthy moments leading to dropping a girl's affinity is well presented in this show.
Although one episode hit me hard and was episode 8 in particular where MC is dating multiple girls at once which is an essence of playing a dating sim "efficiently". This is well done in particular since it also sparks realism seeing how the MC is pretty tired after all that happenings.
This does not mean the show is all good though as there are many mistakes the show makes but this one in particular is worth to mention. It is highly fast paced. I don't actually have problems with the pacing of the introduction of characters but I have a problem with how they affect the story. Since almost all the characters pretty much majorly affect the main story unlike some other great shows where they just do this on another season. It feels like it does this just to make the show feel and look awesome in paper, it accomplishes that yes but only on paper. It also weakens the surprise factor more as there are just so much happening you're not gonna even get surprised anymore. Although this does accomplish a no-filler approach though so it still kind of does that well in that regard. Heck I tell you, even the swimsuit episode isn't a filler.
Other things I'll talk about are the characters. The characters have drastically unique personalities, There's not much cliché aura to them. It's also a part of a dating sim to have characters that have drastically different personalities to have a different approach on the other characters. The Opening sequence is nostalgic, making me feel when it was 8 years ago talking about why the show just doesn't make sense.
So should I recommend you watch the show?
If you like dating sims then do so, oh wait. Check out Kami Nomi zo Shiru Sekai first since that show has a much more delicate approach on the topic. The two are also similar in a sense making me think that did date a live actually referenced kami nomi zo shiru sekai?
If you don't have a lot of experience or just not like the genre in general then don't.

I introduce you to a show where everything starts at the end of the story. A topic which may have never been touched on before. "What happens when an average romance fantasy with a generic become the strongest man plot show ends".
Well since everything starts at the end of the story the contents of the story are pretty much zero. There's not really anything to offer anymore.
Only one thing which is a compilation of trashy ecchi fanservice. One thing I should tell about the series though is that you're pretty much better off watching hentai than overall just watching the series. It's pretty much hentai
...
since; it has zero to no plot, lots of sex, a lucky MC, and a Harem made out of different species of demihumans.
So disregarding story what about art? The animation looks pretty stiff and awkward but to the point that it's still edible to the audience. Character designs though are incredible. One thing about watching ecchi/R18 anime is that the characters pretty much looks the same just has a bit difference in artstyle. This show in particular has a really good unique and diverse character design. The girls are easily distinguishable which just makes them easy to remember.
So do I recommend the show?
No, just watch hentai
but yes if you want to warm up your horniness before watching real shit. The anime is fairly short and just made up of about 11mins per episode, and goes far less if you like skipping openings.
As an anime overall it's just pretty trashy

I actually like these shows where it's an almost peaceful approach in a fantasy world isekai or not. But I'm not here to talk about my personal preference since this review is for the general audience.
There's not much to say about the storyline. The MC's approach of the isekai world is very practical and analyzed to the min-max which makes it kind of boring. There's not much conflict either that may put the MC into the edge, although I would wish to expect that on Season 2. There are some nice concepts of the show though that I would like to address such as
...
the function "aid summon" which is a function where you can summon a companion with the exchange of some mana-like currency called "skill points".
Though the character designs are very beautiful together with the VAs for the character it is wasted by its mediocre animation. The animation is very stiff, the movements are just not fluid. Though there's one thing I probably can't forget about the series and it's the dandy sounding bgm/ost played during the title screen in the beginning and in some moments during an episode.
Although this may just be only an introduction for a large scale isekai series, I still don't feel the heat of its flame.
So do I recommend this one?
No, the show is easily forgettable and you can even just sleep on this show. Although it is of my preference, I don't think that anyone may enjoy it as much as I do.
