Preliminary (5/12 eps)
I really don't know why others give this show any praise at all.
During the first couple of episodes, there seemed to be some hints of something that could lead to an interesting plot line, but three episodes later, and there's barely any mention of it.

Useless characters, absolutely without dimension. No plot, no conflict, no interest. I'll go so far as to say the lovelife of the characters (so far, after 5 episodes) doesn't even reach middle school romance and realism. This is love potion level realism.

The story is not unique. It's predictable in the most boring way. The art fits the story fine. The animation ...

I've set my rating to 7, but it would have been an 8, if it weren't for the first four episodes.

Reason is, I binged all four seasons and OVA's, so having the first four episodes of this season basically being mostly reruns/highlights from the previous seasons, this felt like they had either run out of money or story.

The rest is pretty good, though. If there's a fifth season, I hope to see the relationship between Konoka and Honoka develop further. There was a small hint about closer friendship in one of the episodes.

Then again, maybe this show has (literally) peaked now, as Aoi has reached ...

I'm not gonna say much about this, as it's basically a standard rom-com, but it's fairly well written and had me laughing every episode. I am however very sensitive to anything embarrassing when it comes to romance and social interaction, so there were frequent small breaks while watching, and I really had to man up to get through most episodes. That isn't a bad thing, it's just how I react, and a kind of trigger warning to others who suffer badly from second hand embarrassment! I handle it with taking breaks and watching alone. All the main characters are likeable. A second season probably won't ...

Slow Loop (Anime) add
Cute girls doing cute things? Sure, on the surface. It's so sweet you might get cavities, but underneath, it's an enjoyable (and very accurate) introduction to fly fishing with some great tips (like practice casting indoors with a stick (or the first segment of your rod) and some wool yarn), how to tie on a fly and when and how to change the leader. And so many tips on how to cook delishious fish dishes.

The drama is written well, but what you're left with at the end of each episode is the joy of learning something new about fishing and cooking. I knew a little ...

Very dated.

Allthough I liked the animation and the characters a lot (very 1990), and some of the humor is pretty well written, the main premise would be a disgrace these days.

This isn't a spoiler, but the main running joke is transphobia. Allthough the crossdressing boy (trans girl) is treated as a hero with basically no flaws (she's awesome!), what goes for funny in every episode is how people are scared/think it's weird/diislike that part of her, and that's kind of hard to swollow these days, unless you're on the wrong side of history and decency.

The other jokes are good, though, it's not a barf fest, ...
