At the end of the day, Gintama is just a mash up of completely random tales that pokes fun at the anime world as a whole.
Every episode is packed full of innuendos, jokes, and a bit of violence to top it all off. If I had to compare it to a television series in the states... I would have to say look at Family Guy or South Park. While the last few episodes were sad, knowing that an entire legacy has come to an end, it did it splendidly. This is one of the few Anime that I would honestly give a 10/10 every ...

As a huge fan of the Anime and Manga "Major," I was extremely excited for this series from the get-go.
However, I had the challenge of overcoming the fact that Sawamura was just never as good as he wanted to be. I feel that was one thing that left me wanting in this series. The desire for Sawamura to be great. Outside of my main character issues, this series was great. The characters were all very well done, even the less important characters were given depth and some back story. Although if you are looking for another anime like Major, this is definitely not it.
