The first half was charming and the piece by piece character development really drew me in. But once the truth is revealed the story became convoluted and end in a way that made no sense. It was an interesting take on super powers but would up treating them like a curse and the end felt immoral and very rapey. I mean yes powers can be a burden but to then decide humanity is too dangerous to have them and so these powers that are part of each person must be stolen and destroyed is like lobotomizing all humans so they don't have the ability to
