Spoiler-free Review:
91 Days is that type of obscure anime that is actually worth watching. While its plot is simple in its concept, the entire execution is what makes it enjoyable.
Revenge flicks might be a bit overdone, but this one was the type that actually felt like it was portrayed in a realistic way from its results, to the ending and the overall feeling it delivers.
This anime's strongest point is the plot, which felt entertaining in every single episode, giving out always good cliffhangers and ramp up huge developments or informations every single time.
The continous twists and bumps kept me on the edge the entire time,

and had me willing to watch more and more.
The characters are all very recognizable. They all have their own objectives and goals, and each one feels unique, with most of them getting their fair share of screentime. I also enjoyed this take on the bent-on-revenge main character archetype, who shows his own signs of quirkiness and personality throughout the story all while he silently changes and gets damaged by it all.
The music, sound effects and voice acting were all excellent, giving a nice vibe and a good atmosphere to the settings and locations. Great opening and ending.
As an Italian, I find some of the names a bit silly, but they were probably given that way to avoid naming actual Mafia criminals
What stops this anime from being considered a masterpiece is the extremely average animation, which in itself isn't bad, but it still suffers from being cheap and not very detailed. There are a few interesting shots and stylized moments, but exept those, it could use some improvements and more fluidity.
I'd definitely recommend this anime to whoever is looking for a serious Mafia-themed thriller.

What you will witness when watching this movie is the pure embodiment of fanservice, however that isn't why I rated 5/10 a movie about a series I do feel a lot of affection for.
The reason this movie gets an "Average", in my humble opinion, is because of various plot issues instead of style/animation ones, there are some basic structure problems too.
Don't confuse me with those boomer-Guts-profile-pic elitists that take a dump on this kind of anime on the regular: I'm one of the many who did enjoy Dragon Ball Super, despite its issues.
So, I'll make a review for this movie, spoilers and all, so
...
that you can interpret why I felt disappointed while watching it.
So tap out if you haven't watched it yet, or don't care about it, you've been warned:
The beginning of the movie is actually pretty neat in terms of linearity, it does get worse and worse the more we go forward though. First and foremost, I absolutely despise the idea of Dragon Ball Minus becoming canon in the main storyline. Literally, over 90% of the fanbase preferred the semi-canon scenes made by Toei that explained Bardock's death, Goku being found and so on and so forth. I guess Goku suddenly ate the Saiyan clothes he had in his pod when he came to Earth, didn't he?...
Anyway, we get a lot of exposition about Broly, who is dedicated most of the screentime and plot of the movie to, yet very little was added to his character compared to the older movies. Honestly, I'll get what I can, but having him talk a little more wouldn't have hurt the voice actor, who had most of his lines as screams.
I'll go ahead and tell you that I don't care how much Toei wants to flex their newest animation on us, making Frieza's tail extremely thicc in certain shots and adding unnecessary zoom-ins and outs, this is all about plot, which takes over half of the movie, really.
Speaking of Frieza, did he turn into a Team Rocket type of villain? The bad guy who just comes in and out and never gets taken out for good? That's... very disappointing... And as much as I liked him having silly issues like a height complex, a shape-shifting alien lizard who even in his regular forms can casually get as buff and as tall as Goku, has no worries in this matter.
Back to the plot, are we really supposed to just accept that Bardock is the 0.01% of people who had some suspicions about Frieza and let his son escape? Toei even had the audacity of referencing the Bardock Special when they killed him in this movie. How presumptuous. Frieza said that he actually remembered Bardock, decades after he blew up Planet Vegeta, so him dying so easily in this version like just one guy between many, really ruins his image.
And this spit in his face isn't the only thing that we're supposed to accept. Let's add that a baby who grew up with laser gun-level monsters and a basically fodder father, (weaker than Nappa) can somewhat week up with Goku and Vegeta, who have trained with gods and ascended to a level basically unreachable.
At least, in Resurrection of F, there was a somewhat decent excuse, and Frieza did train for months to reach Goku and Vegeta's levels... However, Broly was already THAT powerful... Absolutely ridiculous.
Oh, did you know that green suddenly appears for a split second when Goku and Vegeta turn into Super Saiyans? Well, ain't that completely new and made up for this movie...
The Vegeta disrespect continues even in a movie where he did not get actually defeated, by having him getting wrecked by Broly in his strongest forms, but Goku can handle him in weaker ones and base form juuuust fine....
The music is staring to sound very recycled... not that I have problems with it, but it was nothing that made my head bump. Broly's song is unintentionally funny.
As I said earlier, I don't have any issues with animation in itself... I mean, there are some Playstation 2 graphics kicking in a couple of times, but eh, I can overlook that.
But seriously now, is nobody bothered by the fact that there is NO BLOOD whatsoever in this movie? I could somewhat understand this happening in the Dragon Ball Super anime, since it aired in the morning, it couldn't allow itself to be too violent, but this is a freaking movie. These are out in theaters and at night! No children to worry about. Have now Dragon Ball characters becoming completely bloodless?!
Other than no blood showing, there's no sense of danger in the air when there are characters like Beerus and Whis just casually hanging around.
At least Frieza managed to blow up the planet in Resurrection of F, here Broly just changes the atmosphere of an island or something, nothing to make us feel like this is actually dangerous.
The fights are boring, no matter how well they are colored or animated.
Frieza also gets his ass kicked for an entire hour, even though Goku and Vegeta lasted 10 minutes each at most against Broly. All for a silly Fusion Dance gag scene
They even threw Gogeta in, because we didn't get enough fanservice in one go...
Of course, Broly, a complete Gary Stu, manages to put up a fight against a newly introduced Gogeta Blue....
Honestly, I went in with mediocre expectations, and I was disappointed. I love the Dragon Ball franchise - - - some people really like to downplay its writing or world-building, and even though there are certainly issues, especially in the first I mentioned, I always managed to look the other way and not notice it.
This is too much though... I saw it getting high ratings, which means some fanboys gave it their fare share of 10/10s... Well, if you read all the way through, thank you for listening to the words of a disappointed fan. Seems like most of us set their bar for this series very low.

As a One Piece fan, you may look at this movie from different prospectives: At one side, a manga reader will complain about the story, or about its consistency. An anime fan may look at it and think "Wow, so this is where the budget was going to". While a casual fan will probably simply enjoy it and not think too much about it. On my point of view, I cannot consider this movie a 10/10 for various reasons, but first, let's talk about what it was good:
SOUND/MUSIC:
I honestly cannot find anything to complain here. The soundtrack was really good, it goes perfectly and smoothly

with each transition. We have old style Toei sound effects that never get old and make some sequences and attacks look badass as usual. Voice acting on point. Nothing negative here.
ART/ANIMATION:
I noticed I fairly big amount of CGI mixed with the drawn characters and objects. Sometimes it's too overwhelming, especially when there are several shots of background and scenery that barely have any artwork in it, definitely not amazing. However, the animation itself was nearly flawless, a good thing from Toei, out of every studio... The whole thing was colored and animated very well, there are good switches of light and tonality in each scene, and I was glad to see that I could enjoy some One Piece without any derpy face or bad drawn limb to worry about.
CHARACTERS:
Now, there are a few things to consider here. Despite I can't say that the characters introduced in this movie are as good as some very memorable canon characters, I can see the issue of writing a character and expose it in a 2 hours movie, which definitely it's not enough, but I found a couple of them pretty likable. The villain of the movie, who by the way is introduced before the main characters, is kinda overpowered in his own way, but has a charm of his own, even though, as I mentioned before, he doesn't compare to canon villains, he still was a lot better than Hody Jones. I loved seeing certain characters of the canonical story getting involved. Despite the short screentime, it felt more connected to the rest. As for the main cast, I kinda saw Luffy out of character a few times, especially at the start, but then everything went back to normal once the plot kicked in. Speaking of which...
STORY/PLOT:
The plot isn't particularly different from other One Piece arcs. Which consists in getting into a new island, getting involved in a few shenenigans and kick the bad guy's ass. I appreciated a lot the how they came up with the whole concept of the island, and how it works. There were a few creative powers introduced, and I liked their use. The actual story kicks in around the 40th minute mark, in which the whole movie gets more interesting. Before that mark it's all about establishing how things are, and the crew fooling around. The concept that the movie talks about, slavery, greed, power, injustice etc... are nothing new to the series. Although more subtle than usual, they were there. Just for a change, One Piece mixed itself with Mission Impossible and Ocean 11, and I can't lie that it was pretty funny. Even though it's not its strong point, the plot is quite bareble, quite out of nowhere, takes a few twists, and it gets triggered in a way I honestly did not like. The ending, I liked it. It wasn't anything amazing, but at least put a smile on my face. Not really much I can say, since it's not tied with outside events and it's palpable in the execution of the movie itself.
Overall, a very good movie, for the premise and purpose that it had, I can say that I wasn't disappointed, but neither extremely surprised. I think 8/10 is pretty fair, counting my enjoyment as well. If not, at least a 7 for recognising both good things and bad sides of it.
It was pretty fun, I would probably reccomand it to a fan.

For starters, I'd like to say that I'm not really a fan of sports anime, but I feel like this one can be appreciated even by the ones who aren't in the genre at all.
So, before I start talking about the anime itself, I would like to point out that Yuri on Ice is suuuuuper gay... To the point that is easy to understand why many nickname it "Yaoi on Ice". I however decided to ignore this factor of the show ( which I'm positive Yaoi fangirls will love ) and focus on pretty much anything else that it is about. Being a

man that loves Yuri ( I'm talking about girl-on-girl romance/action, not the main character of this anime ), I can't show bias and let it influence my judgment.
So, as for the plot not really being the most original ever, Yuri on Ice has a very good narrative and overall pace, without too many interruptions or filler-like moments, although I can detect a couple of ones that lean towards fanservice. However, the development and deliver of such plot is very well done and doesn't make the viewer questioning it at all.
The animation, despite not being always as detailed as I wish it would be, remains fluid and clean, with enough frames and speed that it will make it look almost on movie level of quality. About the animation, it's noticable how it switches from a very cured style to an extremely chibi and Slice of Life-like one, very often in comedy moments, but also in more serious ones. It feels put in place well, and despite it may appear lazy, I like its use.
The strongest point that this anime has, is in my opinion, the music. From the opening to the ending, to the themes and songs accompanying the fabulous executions of the skaters, I found the music absolutely amazing, which is also a key factor in some performances.
I also like how a realistic approach is used in this anime, without any special powers or eternal slow-motion moments with thousands of words of thought, it's simple and straightforward, yet it doesn't make it any less impactful.
There is a nice variety of characters, which have their own ways and motives to push them in what they do. We often hear their thoughts and experience their personalities that sometimes feel even deeper than the main character himself.
Overall, I think that Yuri on Ice nailed perfectly its objective as a sport anime, and I honestly found it enjoyable thus far. It's admirable, since this year and for the next, there are a certain number of anime that are also very good, with this one sharing some space in the spotlight.

Seeing this movie so high, at the top ratings, made me incredibly curious about it, and I watched it with the highest expectations possible.
So, overall, I can tell that I enjoyed it, and that it was as fun as it was emotional... HOWEVER, Kimi no Na wa, has its flaws:
Let's start by briefly explaining what the plot is:
SPOILERS AHEAD
A boy and a girl, suddenly ( and I doubt it's ever explained why ), start switching bodies, each time they go to sleep. They also wake up with amnesia-like symptoms, not remembering what each other's names are. So, they start using
...
diaries to contact each others when they switch, and living with this mysterious phenomenon.
However, once they stop switching for a good while, the boy finds out that the girl died in a natural disaster ( in this case, a comet crashed onto her village, killing pretty much everyone ), three years prior to this supernatural phenomenon. The boy then, finds a way to switch bodies with her once again, and tries to change the past by warning everyone about the incoming catastrophe. Unfortunately, he fails, and the girl dies once again.
The ending is quite odd. Both the protagonists find each others in their adulthood, and there the movie ends.
So, I honestly can enjoy seeing the interesting experience of two individuals switching bodies, especially when they are both of different gender and live in completely different settings... However, I was not happy about how they simply went along with it, didn't question it, or simply have not figured out that they lived in different timelines. In this regard, I feel like the movie skips very important parts of storytelling, and stretches itself out in useless scenes that do not advance the story at all. The beginning itself is very confusing, and slow.
The animation and effects are beautiful, but when it's about a movie and not an anime series with several episodes, there has to be more than godly animation to impress me. The sound was pretty good, but doesn't quite fit as I wish it would have.
The main characters, just as the plot, concern themselves too much on romance, and almost never on drama, despite the situation and the circumstances would require them to. And also by the fact that these two haven't even actually spoke to one another. Their personalities are also very difficult to pinpoint. You may say that the side characters are actually written, or interpreted better.
The ending made no sense, and it's unexplained as well, plus it is also a cliffhanger.
Honestly, I can say that I enjoyed this movie a lot, but the ratings are absolutely overrating it. This is NOWHERE near the best between every anime series and movies! WAKE UP, PEOPLE!
Anyway, despite its flaws, it was a really fun and kinda unique movie to watch.
A good 7/10. I would give it an 8 if at least a few things would have been handled in a better way.

I heard of this short music video a lot in the community, and I wanted to check it out for myself, to see what the hype is about.
Honestly, I was expecting more, but at the same time I can't complain much about it. The not even 6 minutes video opens up with this girl, Rin, sharing with the viewer how lonely she does ( or doesn't ) feel in a world that seems to be with no other human being other than herself. The scene leads to her using a tablet, in which she waits for messages to come, but in over two
...
thousand days, no one has ever contacted her. It then goes to a full montage of her running, standing or sitting in various locations all very different from each other, while the world around her changes almost in each shot.
Towards the end of the song, she experiences flashbacks from her childhood, in which the world was apparently about to collide against another planet. We get to see her actual body, in a vegetative state, connected to a machine, in which I guess allows her to "live" in that virtual reality. All this in a pod/shuttle that seems to be going nowhere, in the immensity of space.
In the end, she finally recieves a message.
To be honest, I found the video quite odd, yet enjoyable to watch. The story doesn't take very original or unique approaches to a concept used many times in fiction, but despite that, it delivers it well enough.
The animation is pretty good, but nothing too amazing, considering that certain shots could've contained way more work, and it was also a short video. The CGI switches from looking very outdated, to a more detailed once the voice starts singing. I wasn't particularly impressed, since many of those were still shots, and there was more CGI than actual animation to accompany anything that wasn't Rin in the scenery. And since I saw much better works being done on actual anime series.
The song is a bit catchy, very simple lyrics, and relaxing music. I don't think there was a sound or words that got much of my attention in the middle of the video.
Overall, sure a work nicely done, but it could have easily been improved. The story itself leaves a bitter taste in my mouth, and the effects were nothing I can consider remarkable, compared to countless other works. The effects almost feel too heavy, and may not appear as appealing as it wants to.
To be honest, I don't see why this had so much hype in the community ( even though almost anything decent does at this point ), but it's not nearly deserved. It isn't bad at all, but... Not a masterpiece either. I'll just give it a not too high score, just because of my personal view of this, since I can't actually expreme if I either enjoyed it or not.
Just a 6/10
It may just get your attention, but definitely not a 'must have' in your anime experience.

I simply wanted to say that Watamote is one of the most depressing anime I've ever watched. Just as I kept watching it, I couldn't stop wondering how much it would've took to reach the end. This anime has often been described to me as "realistic", "relatable" and "funny", and as a fool, I believed that it would've actually been a fun trip. It is even labelled as "Comedy" on almost every website.
The show itself is nothing but a lonley and geeky high-school girl ( Her name is Tomoko ) and her struggle to integrate herself into the society and make friends. At first, seems

relatable towards the ones who have or had the same problems, but it truly isn't. The title itself says "No matter how I look at it, it's your guys' fault if I'm not popular", but it is actually Tomoko's own fault for being so bad, and isolated. Now, you'd expect such a character to be not cold nor hot, to have her issues but a positive side, something that we can say about her that would not be as we think... Instead, she's straight up rude, awkward and disrespectful, either with people she doesn't know or her own family.
The story is just filled with sadness, all over it. Not a happy, or even NORMAL moment. For those who praise this anime for being "realistic" clearly didn't think this through, as the show is filled with clichés and silliness. As an outcast and anti-social person, I can describe Tomoko's experiences past and present as totally unrealistic and odd. Like the fact that in an entire week of school, she had not shared a word with ANYONE exept a barely said "Goodbye" to her teacher. Which she took like a win to the lottery, by the way.
There are also dozens of references to other anime, that are nowhere near subtle, as the only thing that stops from saying their respective name is a censorship *"beep"* in the dialogue. Not only some of these reference are out of place, but they are so obvious and in-your-face that I couldn't even enjoy or appreciate them, and I like parodies.
The characters are basically clichés and nonexistent, as this anime focuses only on one and one character only.
The animation is mediocre, with good, but often overwhelming effects and lazy scenes that can easily be improved. The music can hardly be noticed, and barely adds any impact to any scene. Which is a shame, since the opening is absolutely awesome, and despite the ED isn't one of the best, it is very creative.
The voice acting is well done, but when 80% of the dialogue are just inner thoughts coming from the main character, you can barely notice it.
Overall, no character, nor story development whatsoever. If I'd just put some percentage to sum it all up, it would be:
60% Depression
30% Random references to other shows
1% Actually relatable scenes
2% Of out of nowhere useless Ecchi you can't even predict
And 7% of western and anime clichés spread around in random order.
I do not recommend this anime, unless you really enjoy tragic "comedies" or find funny a depressed girl that threatens to kill herself if she doesn't talk to her brother once in a while.
Solid 3/10 and I'm being generous.

The first time I heard about the "One Punch Man", I thought that it was something really stupid or boring, but after checking this anime myself, I can totally say that I enjoyed it more than I could expect. The title says enough about what the main chcaracter is capable of, and the gag goes on for some episodes, introducing parodies and cliché villains, and characters all unique in their own regards.
What surprised me about this anime wasn't the main character, or the plot overall, but how even characters who appeared for few episodes, or even for few minutes were all particular detailed and
...
made.
The visuals, drawings and effects are simply amazing, as expected from Madhouse. Even in mere gags and comedic scenes, the animation has always been on point. The music also is amazing. It is well timed to get you pumped and hyped for something, just as it can get sad or serious in other situations. The cast also is great! If you're a consumed anime watcher, or even a casual as myself, you'll probably recognise some very famous voice actors that played their roles perfectly.
To be fair, I'll point out a couple of flaws as well: First, is that, as me, you may not find some gags as funny as some others would, and the show tends to exaggerate itself too much even for comical standards. Plus, there is a lack of tension, as if there is no thrill or mystery to anything.
Nonetheless, One Punch Man positively surprised me to the point that I can give it an almost perfect 10/10. Enjoyment, a little hype and fun. All you can desire from a series like this.

Ah, Dragon Ball Z, one of the most famous, known and loved action/fighting anime in history. I remember how entertaining and emotional this show was when I used to watch it as a kid, every day, glued to the screen, extremely hyped for what would've happened in the next episode. Watching the epic fights, enemies and trips that Son Goku, that kid we watched on a journey in the original series, went through in his adulthood. This show is simply awesome overall: The epic transformations, the amazing soundtracks, the muscles, the screams!...
If I had to point out a pair of bad things,

is definitely the fact that the plot is not one the strong points of the show and that some scenes get reused in the same fight. Plus, the plot development and the overall pace are quite slow. There is a lot of unnecessary talking and staring, and some shots where basically nothing happens for minutes, but these detalis can easily be overlooked and won't take anything off the amazing feelings that this great anime has. Well, this is all. I hope I did well for my first review on this website
