Let me start by saying, I'm glad my request for this story finally got added to the MAL database since I just came across it randomly not too long ago. There's a lot that needs to be addressed about this story; both good and bad parts, which is why I added the spoiler tag.

Honestly, I had high expectations for this because it seemed to be a vampire anime that consisted of action and mystery without any romance. The trailer looked pretty cool and filled with enough action to drive me in to add it to my Netflix watchlist. After waiting roughly about 4 or so months, I finally decided to watch it in one-sitting and was left confused.
Animation - 10/10 The animation is done beautifully well, and I would say it's on par with Violet Evergarden's level of animated scenes. The art was visually appealing to look at and it was the main factor for what kept me ...

Alright, so it's been at least 5 years since I read this story and I just remember being disgusted and disturbed after reading it. The lore that gets revealed about the ML (male lead) was so disturbing that I just couldn't convince myself to continue reading like nothing happened. All I'll say is that the ML's bloodline is staying in the family tree, and the reveal was sickening to me. Also, the backstory of the ML overshadows any romance that could've been portrayed for the main couple/leads.
