Two young ladies (sometimes more) touring on bikes, mixed in with SoL elements in both manga series. Both projects have come from a place with deep passion for bikes and bike touring.

Manatsu no Grey Goo

A love of sci-fi and technology runs through both of these manga and they both have emphasis on apocalyptic settings. While Shuumatsu Touring focuses more on two central female characters, Grey Goo has three to begin with and trades some of the sci-fi depth for more comedy. While Midsummer Grey Goo does have bikes, it focuses more on military vehicles.

Similar in that both anime are unconventional music/iddol-themed and have the supernatural element superimposed on the story. Similarity also includes the main story premise to an extent, being focused around two sisters, with the younger sister undertaking a quest initially driven by their older sister. Similar age characters feature at the forefront of both anime as well (16-18 mostly) and both anime use a good variety of music for their performances. Lapis Re:LiGHTs makes more use of CG for performances and is more comedy-driven compared to IDOLY PRIDE, but the latter is still just as entertaining and memorable.

Similar feel, with both anime being school setting slice-of-life/ comedy with huge helpings of wholesomeness. Female main characters are also fairly similar, in that they have have challenges with socialising, have alternate "cartoon" forms and are highly likeable. Komi-san is a more light-hearted, comedy-driven anime compared to Kimi ni Todoke however.
