Idek how if there is a certain review format so apologize in advance for this keyboard vomit of a review

Nah bro. as soon as she jumped off a 2-story building ik this was going to be a mess. that scene in itself represents my entire feeling of this movie. could have been so much more but jumps off the cliff and yet surprisingly doesn't take a lot of damage. I'll just list likes and dislikes

Dislikes: The main character's personality: I know like 4 people in real life that act very similar to the main character so i can get some realism off of ... her but her behavior is very "Stan-ish" like Ur in middle school stalking a dude you don't even know... and at the end SHE WINS HIM OVER??? bro no there shouldn't be a fairy tale ending for this mini psycho at all.
Her best friend: arguably the worst friend character I've seen in any media. even with the little flashback telling the viewer why their close i can't seem to find anything good about her. like she wanted to look for her alone which sure commendable but you let your best friend jump off a building and b4 she jumps you say "someone stop her" YOU ARE A FOOT AWAY FROM HERE. BE THAT SOMEONE MY GUY
Flashbacks: This movie felt super rushed and the flashbacks attempted to help with that but personally they really didn't do it for me at all. especially the first couple ones added zero flavor or minimal background to the story


Likes:
Kinako: all my favorite scenes include kinako, when she first acquires the body, explaining the whole story to hinode and even the little things like when muge was trying to sneak back in and she jumped on her head and scratched her
Voice acting: I watched it dubbed because I was super tired and didn't want to keep looking up and down and small text. but broooo the English dub cast was actually really well casted especially Johnny Yong Bosch as hinode just really brought a somewhat bland character to life
Animation: It suited this story so well and was very fluid and added to the story telling very much. when MUGE would be in her cat form and then imagine herself as a human while laying or sitting on Hinode's lap it was a nice way to show how bubbly and romantic the scene was in her head vs in real life.

The story was fine and can't really knock the simplicity of "Don't wait before it's too late." story premise

My final thoughts on this film: Just watch "Top 10 ways to speak to your crush" videos on YouTube bro. it's going to be hard and even somewhat corny and cheesy but way better than turning into some useless ass cat... and JUMPING OFF OF A SCHOOL BUILDING.
