If you love the Meitantei Conan series yet not really in the mood to watch the serious plot and just wanna have some good laugh, this series is just perfect. As much as the series itself was pretty short, it really managed to include a list of the random funny gags about the main series in general. Like really, with so many murder cases encountered by Conan and every one in the series... at one point you might even wonder how do the normal background people of Beika City think about the place in general. Calling it a death trap would be an understatement.
I
...
seriously cracked up over a lot of the gags in the series. Like how Agasa was portrayed as to be this mad scientists figure that offered really shady one-off jobs, or how many of the amateur detectives were like a menace to normal people, and how the crime rates affect the city in general. It's really a fun show to watch on the side.

If you love detective stories, crime and mystery genre then this series is for you. Kindaichi Shonen no Jikembo tells you a story of Hindaichi Hajime, a grandson of Kindaichi Kousuke who is a famous detective, who end up encountering various mysterious cases and solving them alongside his classmate Nanase Miyuki who is also his childhood friend, Saki Ryuta; an underclassmen who loves to film using his video camera as well as Inspector Kenmochi and Superintendent Akechi who were both police officers from Tokyo Headquarters.
Things to note about the series is that, most of the criminals were portrayed to be sympathetic and pitiful who
...
end up committing crimes due to unfortunate circumstances. As much as Kindaichi vowed to be the one to stop the criminal from continuing to commit murders, he was also the first to want to save them from suffering. In which case it's what make the series stand out from other series of the same genre. This anime series mostly covered the cases from the Kindaichi Casefiles manga, Case Series, Light Novel series, Short File series and Young Akechi's Casefiles. That said, since the manga tend to have some very violent plot, some details in the anime had been changed accordingly.

Something that I've been doing as of late, was watching each episode of Kimetsu no Yaiba anime alongside the respective manga chapters. It's something I've started to do ever since I realised how ufotable really do follow portrayed most of the manga content almost frame by frame. By that alone you can tell how amazing the anime production has been. Ufotable really outdid themselves. If you think that the first season and the Mugen Train arc had been adapted well and beautifully, this arc was even more flamboyantly beautiful.
Every scene had been animated so well, it really felt as if the manga had truly
...
come to life. The seiyuu have done a great job again, and I really love the choices of the seiyuu for the Upper Moon that made appearance in this arc as they really fit the characters well. The music score was amazing too... not to mention Aimer singing both the opening and ending really fit the whole festivities and elegance of this arc.

As the anime movie that triggered me to actually start the whole series; both anime and manga, I felt compelled to write my thoughts about it.
I managed to watch this movie last year (somehow) despite being totally unfamiliar with the series plot. But despite that, I was able to get into the story even without knowing the plot that happened prior to the movie's plotline. In that sense, I like the fact that movie didn't really need to require one knowing about the base storyline yet still enjoyable enough for first-time viewers to get to know the series.
That said, I really want to praise ufotable
...
at how beautiful the movie turned out. The animation wasn't quite 2D or 3D yet it was really so artful as if you were watching a manga coming to life. Watching this on the big screen was really a great experience. The inclusion of the sorrowful track Homura by LiSA at the end really wrap the whole emotion of the whole movie as it honoured one of the most beloved character in the series. Even for someone new to the series, I can't help feeling emotional as I witness how valiantly Kyojurou fought Akaza and protected everyone till the end of his breath. That was how well the movie was made.

Been wanting to write a review of the manga for a while now so I might as well do it now. To be honest, at first I hadn't taken any interest of the series despite being aware of it in the form of fan buzz as well as cosplays from the show. And at first glance, the whole concept about a group of people slaying demons wasn't really THAT unique. That said, I tend to not jump into new series if the series received way too much hype when it initially released. And I have to say that all the fan overhype of series during
...
the first two year had really turned me off.
I ended up getting into the series after watching the Mugen Train movie. And I have to say, Rengoku Kyojurou played a huge part in making me start reading the manga from the very beginning to learn about the journey of Kamado Tanjiro, whom was amongst the people Rengoku had protected. Safe to say afterwards I ended up being taken in by the story and the tales of the Demon Slaying Corps as they fought to protect people from the demons led by one Kibutsuji 'Michael Jackson' Muzan. 😂😂
I really love the series, even more once I got to know that the mangaka was a woman. Because aside from how the stories had been written well, I love the fact that each characters regardless whether they were men or women, were written in such a way that you can't help emphasising with them, whether they were good guys or villains or even minor characters. I love how the women were also portrayed to be able to be as strong as their male counterparts and have their own strengths and weaknesses. I also like how the relationships between the characters were written well like with the friendship between Tanjiro, Zenitsu and Inosuke; as well as the healthy relationship between Uzui and his wives as well as the conflicts of the Hashira and the people who have been hurt by the demons.
Aside from the serious plot, the series had quite a number of good comedic elements which made it very enjoyable to read. The art style wasn't really that bad either and contrary to some uproar that I used to hear prior to knowing the series, like the gore scenes or the Yuukaku arc plotlines, those elements wasn't really as distasteful as some claimed. I mean, I've seen worse in some other seinen series and I've read enough Gintama to know about the Japanese red-light district cultures. Honestly some people really overblew their reaction on how sexually explicit or gory the series was. It just shows how it's not so good to overhype any series.

I waited for the hype to go down so that all of that stuff won't get in the way of me trying to enjoy this series, though to be fair, I didn't really plan to watch this series on the get-go. But Sugitan voiced a prominent character in this anime so why not?
It's been a long while since I last binged any anime series, let alone watching any fantasy-type adventure series so Goblin Slayer was quite a refreshing take on the these genres. I especially like how the story-telling, as well as the many functions in the show, really incorporate the whole RPG concept; as
...
in having guilds where the adventurers can go choose to take their quests, how their abilities and skills had certain limits and require them to accumulate funds and experience in order to 'level' up their abilities. It was really refreshing, to be honest. I really like the whole D&D and Draquest-like setting that was almost literally like watching an RPG Adventure gameplay but in a story-like setting.
Of course, Goblin Slayer wasn't the first show that have this kind of setting... but it's the first IMO that really made you feel like actually being inside a huge D&D gameplay, with the 'gods' being subtly hinted as the Game Master in charge of everything. It was really fun watching the show and the characters were very interesting.
That said, while some of the very explicit things like the whole goblin raping their captives might be a bit too much... I like how the writing allowed the victims to be able to overcome their traumas (even if those fears and scars may not fully disappear or be forgotten) and fight back. In a way, it was an empowering message for victims of sexual abuse to know that they may still be able to get back on their feet and not allow their past traumas to take control of their life.

I swear I start taking notice of this manga due to the anime's debut, as well as Louis-Legosi interactions XD. And I have to say I'm not regretting diving into the story.
Normally, it usually took me a while to get into a story with the common school and slice of life main theme, but this series took me in quite fast. I guess, the charm would be in the animal theme. I mean, if you had to compare to Zootopia, Beastars were stories centred on animals who displayed human-like lifestyle while still retaining the qualities of what makes them animals while Zootopia was the
...
opposite. Yet, that's what Beastars felt so endearing. And I love how the characters' personalities seemed so genuine. That besides the fact that I just love the focus on Legosi as well as the relationship he has with Louis, Haru and the other animals around him.
That said, I really love the sense of humour in Beastars, as well as the unexpected twists and turns that happened throughout the manga so far. I also like how the many relationships (major or minor) in the were written very naturally. Like it wasn't put on for the sake of laughs or fanservice, but well thought to give the characters some personality and make them genuine. I just love how the relationship issues were dealt in the manga.
