This anime has nothing special or unique that you can't find anywhere else. The main character, Shin, is way too overpowered; his flaw is that he doesn't always get social conventions or whatever, but it's not even that big of a hindrance for him as a character. None of the friends have anything overly special about them and their characters don't grow personality-wise. One of the major settings is a school but no teaching by teachers ever takes place and it just seemed dumb to introduce it if you aren't going to use it for anything; seems like a waste. The lead girl has a ... shy and awkward thing going on but no personality is built outside of Shin. None of the friends have anything to them except for August but even his character isn't explored and he's just kinda the prince. The show has fanservice, but it's not special,just the usual omg These girls have tittys so let's point them out. The magic system is cool I guess but it's nothing overly unique, shins op and uses it super well with zero issues because the main character has to be super awesome or whatever and the friends struggle but end up learning super quickly even though Shin power is supposed to be so advanced even the best magic users can't do it. Nothing special, would not recommend.

This show is adorable. It's a romance with both slice of life and comedy elements. The characters are cute and the storyline is unique, theres a supernatural element that doesn't fit too oddly in the world, I wouldn't say it fits naturally but it doesn't take away anything. The only con I really have with the anime is Benio, if they cut her from the story it would honestly be the best slice of life romance. The scenes without her are very cute but the second she is added to a scene it becomes unenjoyable. Fans of romance will like this especially if you like ... slice of life. Things move at a fast enough pace that I think people who do not enjoy slice of life very much will still enjoy themselves.

The anime features the overly protective sister and she gets to the point of being creepy at times. Like I said if they cut benio the show would've been really good.

I truly believe this is one of the most beautiful anime I will ever watch. I watched it when it originally came out on Netflix here in Canada and I've rewatched it at least once a year since. The anime is beautiful, the scenery,character design and dialogue are amazingly done. Violets character growth is done well and the characters around her are written solidly and throughout the series you find yourself rooting for them as well. I've rewatched this show dozens of times at this point and I still get emotional everytime, to create a storyline that emotional and have it remain as heart clenching ... as the first watch is incredibly impressive. The visuals are absolutely phenomenal, you can pause any scene and it will look beautiful. Theres a watercolor esque look to the backgrounds and it's very well done, not only is it visually pleasing but the design of the world is beautiful as well. Throughout the show violet travels to various destinations for work or in her flashbacks and each place has a history. The world feels alive, theres a liveliness to cities and even in scenes that show destruction it feels alive.

This anime has genuinely changed how I look at anime. It took me almost 2 years to finish because my friend alluded to a sad ending and I wasn't ready for the show to end. Its beautifully made and the storyline kept me engaged. The character interaction and backstory is well done and the characters feel alive, theres incentives as a viewer to care about what happens to a character(either good or bad depending). This anime has some elements that I don't see as often in anime, it takes place in the US and I found that I could genuinely believe that it took place ... there, mind you I'm Canadian so my opinion may differ from an American.highly recommend this anime.
