Both about Butlers and their masters, both reference other anime, and both are very funny. Hayate the Combat Butler is more child-friendly than KimiAru though.

If you liked Jigoku Shoujo add

...then you might like Darker than Black: Kuro no Keiyakusha add

Both have the same hellish atmosphere to them. They're also similar in terms of series structure whereas Darker than BLACK is a different story every two episodes and Jigoku Shoujo is a story per episode. Definitely worth checking out if you liked one or the other

...then you might like Tokimeki Memorial: Only Love add

The same genres and The characters look so much alike (even Tsukasa has the same name). Not to mention the fact that I couldn't help but notice the entire way through that one reminded me of the other. Ichigo is like an ecchi version of Tokimeki Memorial.

If you add a few guys and some romance into azumanga daioh, you get the premesis for School Rumble. The other main difference is that School Rumble has two seasons, with a third one in production, and Azumanga daioh has one season and a few specials

Genshiken is an anime about otaku. NHK is about hikkikomori. hikkikomori and otaku share many traits,and so the animes are similar. Although NHK has a serious undertone to it because it actually looks into the disadvantages and reprocussions of being a hikkikimori.
