Dan Doh!! is what you get when you mix 'Happy Gilmore' with 'Kingdom Hearts'; it's both easy to follow and lighthearted as well as a complicated mess with tons of plot threads that are barely explored.
The animation isn't that great either: It's full with really awkward transitions that don't really pan out, and sometimes the quality of the animation makes you wonder if they had to cut costs a bit.
The one area where this anime really shines is in its music. It's filled to the brim with amazement, wonder and excitement that keeps you enthralled where you otherwise might not have.
