It's alright. The few commonly occurring side characters had great synergy with the main couple. But most of the side characters were mainly introduced only to be forgotten for the rest of the series. Which was a shame since some of them had potential to really flesh out the main character aside from him being part of the secretly nice person with a scary face that happens to be antisocial trope (which quickly grows old).
Other then that, it's typical fluff romance. It felt like it wanted to tackle some serious topics related to relationships and self-confidence but didn't commit fully to dealing with them.
