Similar plot points, development, MCs, and MC relationships, and supernaturals. Watching this really reminded me of after story. After story does have a lot more drama, while dreaming girl has more time time travelling stuff.

Both have this male MC going around helping girls with their supernatural issues. Similar energy male MCs, with their own "semi-harems" but still maintaining a nice monogamous relationship with one girl that carries on to their respective stories. Both touch on supernatural themes, using these supernatural themes to build onto the characters and their developments. The sequels are very similar as well (Clannad after story & Doesnt dream of a dreaming girl)
