Genuinely not worth your time if you're here for the characters or the writing. The romance itself is alright - it's uninspired, bland and very, very safe, but that's what anyone actually watching this is probably here for.
But the characters? God, the characters are terrible. The love interest is alright. She's a somewhat overdone top-of-the-class, high-and-mighty prim-and-proper girl, though modernized a little for the sake of variety. She's probably the only character that's passable. The MC somehow manages to have a more lacking personality than most isekai protagonists, and that is saying a lot. He is a personality void to the point that even projecting

onto him feels unsatisfying. He claims to have some sort of belief system or ideology, but he genuinely has no actual traits or morals to speak of beyond the most average man alive.
Now, yes, he does some actions that might hint at having a personality. I mean, he's the one who agrees to the plot dragging him along. This is yet another cop out from having actually interesting characters - basically every action he's done in the show that moved the plot progression forward wasn't orchestrated by him, but rather by the worst character in the show; his little sister.
The basic premise of his little sister is an aloof, philosophically inclined wise girl who's also very clingy towards the main character. Most issues with her stem from the writer's genuinely horrid writing sense for both of these kinds of archetypes (wise and clingy) - the first time I heard her "wisdom", it genuinely shocked me that they dared present it as some grand moral that the main character is shocked by. Her wisdom is so blatantly obvious and boring that it circles back around to being batshit insane. It's treated as outlandish, but it's just up its own ass to an unimaginable degree. It "sounds" pretentious, but it's too basic to even call it ground-level. If it was anything, then it was a wasted quarter of an episode and a wasted 15 minutes of my lifespan. If the main character had literally the slightest bit of a personality, he would not need this kind of "wisdom", because his character would've been able to make the most obvious choice of his entire life.
Her clingy attitude isn't cute or interesting either, it comes off as rather annoying and nonsensical. It clashes with her "wise" remarks and it clashes with her aloof attitude, but not in an interesting way. It just comes off as terrible character writing, which it is.
I stopped watching halfway through the third episode when I realized this was how the rest of the show would be.
This writer had no idea how to actually write the story he wanted to write, so he added a little sister character who would make the characters act how he wants them to act.
But he easily could've just... Written characters who would willingly enter the situation they're in, if somewhat begrudgingly. He could've made the MC highly ambitious, or even just the slightest bit spiteful. He could've made the girl more assertive and controlling. He could've made the little sister character even slightly likeable. But he didn't. Because he desperately wanted this kind of story told. And this specific kind of story is garbage. Don't bother.
