Both are dark and mysterious, filled with fancy clothing and beautiful characters, who appear to be superior than ordinary humans. In Kuroshitsuji you can find demons and shinigamis, while in Shirokuro Kitan the Malice users are called with the same names by the people, even though it is yet to be revealed what are they truly. The main characters (Ciel/Ririko) are trying to find the truth behind their parents' death/disappearance and some kind of supernatural being/power is helping (or wil help) them, but not for free. Also, it seems that in both there is some kind of conspiracy going on in the shdows, for which only a few of the characters know. Their parents are most likely involved in it. You can find similarities in the art too, since the artists rely on it more than on words when it comes to showing a character's emotions.
