I don't know why so many people like this manga, maybe cause I'm kinda new to manga and am not really used to reading so not a lot gets through to me, but I seriously don't like this. I liked the start of it and how it was set up from the start as a not so typical shounen. Denji has been shown to lose a lot and sell his organs to get out of debt. But by the middle of the manga, it turned into Denji going up against much stronger opponents than him and then him just not wanting to die and overpowering ... bad guys much stronger than him. I was lead to believe that Denji is strong but can die from the hotel something arc. He almost did die, at least to me, but lucked out and defeated a bad guy that LITERALLY CAN NOT DIE.

I also found myself multiple times looking through the wiki just to keep up with the story. When the 3 brother assassins from America killed the 3 guys whose names i can't remember, one of them used a devil to shapeshift into him. This confused the fuck out of me cause the 3 guys they killed were so nonexistent that i forgot about them and thought that one of the brothers just looked like him and imitated him. The characters are also so forgetful, that I only remembered like 3 of them. The manga also doesn't need you to care about them because every side character gets killed, but it doesn't show any emotions. I read through the chapters and just didn't feel anything when someone died, I just tried to remember them.

I still don't know a lot about the actual story even after reading the wiki. Idk that's about it.

Okay, I just want to go on a rant for a bit. This is crazy, how can you can you make such a good story and characters and then just fuck it all up. The first half of the movie was great, I liked the story of it and how it showed both sides of the battle. The main character wasn't on any side, he just wanted for them to live together, and how cliché that may sound, it works. Through the movie he tries to get everyone together, but he doesn't actually do anything, he just isn't fighting against anyone, he helps both parties. ... So when the humans are attacking the forest and the forest is inferior, he just doesn't do anything about it. So my rant begins: The main character just doesn't do anything about Eboshi, the one who wants to take the forest down and make more and more iron. But the main character also doesn't want for the forest to die, but is so fucking incompetent that he lets the forest spirit's head get cut off while still believing, that Eboshi isn't bad. Even when he warned Eboshi about how the town was under attack, Eboshi just didn't care and still went on to kill the forest spirit, the main character still believes in her. And with all Ghibli movies, the whole world goes to shit, but somehow everything turns out okay! The forest spirit goes to get it's head back and almost kills the entire fucking city, but when all turns out okay everyone is just smiling and they go on about their day. By far though the most infuriating part is that they don't learn anything, FUCKING ANYTHING, mc just says that he'll rebuild the city and the princess goes on to live in the forest. But Eboshi and Jiko didn't learn anything, they too just smile and say that they can't win against fools. They don't have any fucking clue what they did and they don't reflect upon it and no one tells them about the consequences of their actions. But hey, in the end we lost 2 gods, the city, the forest and a bit of the cities population, so lets just go on with our day rebuilding the civilization and smile without thinking about what we did, how we could have easily avoided it. Maybe we'll recreate it too!

It's an exciting story, but filled with plot holes, plot armor and just generally illogical ideas and actions. The ending was pretty good but fucked it all up with the execution. It seems like Tsukasa and Senku have so heavy plot armor that Tsukasa survives a pierced chest and lung, and together with Senku survives a waterfall. In the ending they have a final battle with Hyouga in which Tsukasa is jumping around like a monkey with a pierced chest, and when Hyouga gets tased, he doesn't just think of letting go of his spear? Senku moves like a sloth and Hyouga ... has all the time in the world to just release his spear to not get tased. Even when they were ambushing the miracle cave with the tank, Senku goes with the brilliant idea of just ramming through the automobile traps and surprise surprise, the tank gets fucked. Don't even get me started on how the fuck Tsukasa even predicted that Senku is building A FUCKING STEAM ENGINE IN THE STONE AGE?

This is infuriating, such a good series that got messed up in the second season.
Although I will be looking forward to the 3rd season, so hopefully they'll make it better.
