I'm watching all the films in order of release and I must say that this film exceed my expectations. Most of the reviews of this film describe as a dark film in comparison to others. The description is more than enough to catch the attention of any fan, although the greatness of the film lies in more aspects than in its dark atmosphere.
The animation cannot be more different than what any One Piece fan (pr even just a casual fan) is used to. It remind me sort of to the first films of Digimon or even to Monogatari, even though this is more my opinion. ... It is quite shocking at first, but it matches the narrative that we are going to be told perfectly.
The story starts with the usual plot of One Piece stories, but the plot twists in terms of what we could except are darker and more focused on the bond of the mugiwaras than in battle. It is not a film centered on battle, but the fights should be highlighted. They are slightly more explicit (not to the point of gore but less friendly than what we usually watch), darker and full of feelings.
It is the first time I watch this film but I would love to watch once again on the theatre as I find it the most enjoyable film at the moment. Don't miss it, whether you are a fan or just a casual watcher of One Piece! <3

After the great movie that is the sixth film, I expected a worse movie or one that I liked less than the sixth, but I did not expect such a drop in quality. The story is typical of a filler chapter for those times when the anime reaches the manga. The art is the average of One Piece at the time, although I think there are several examples of a drawing worse than the serie. The original characters are pretty bad and ridiculous, there is nothing appealing of them. The most memorable one is an animal lol. And on top of that, to make the ... whole movie even more annoying, there is a special focus on Robin and Nami, especially Nami, to sexualize them for no reason. There are scenes and animations that are irrelevant and that are unique and exclusively fanservice for the public, a fanservice that is not so excessive in other movies or in the series. In summary, I give it a 3 because I laughed watching it at double speed, but it is not something that I recommend seeing in itself.

It was just a short music video which acoompanied the second film of One Piece and it is by far much better than the film itself. It is my comfort video whenever I want to listen to some music and rewatch one piece without the sad parts of the story. Totally approved if you want to have a short opening to a one piece watching sesion. Also, taking into account when this short was realeased, it has a pretty decent animation. It reminds me to the kind of music videos I used to watch when I was a kid. Whatever, enojy the short music episode, ... have a nice day, and three, two, JANGO!
