Both are shows about the long way of achieving your goals. They're set in the real world and are both doing really well in creating certain deeper moods. Similar tragedies in both shows, similar situations. Excellent use of music in both shows. They were both very touching and bittersweet at times.

They have the same type of random and hilarious humor, you'll have to laugh a lot watching both shows. The real-world celebrities that are parodied in the shows are also extremely funny and on point.

- city boys get transferred to small rural places and have to adapt themselves - both are slice of life - atmospheres are warm and peaceful in both shows, for me they are both easy and pleasant to watch - nice and calm music

Both emit a certain atmosphere of springtime, they have similar plots and art. The colouring is similar as well, and both have a (more or less) superficial main character who is a girl and a boy who despises superficial girls. Have fun!

Both shows show the long and hard way towards a wished carreer, doing this really professionally. No overpowered leads and realistic complications are shown. Also, both shows have really groovy music.

They are about a group of teens in puberty. The two anime have very dramatic drama settings. They are also strongly influenced by tragedy. They are both modern anime and are perhaps "over-moe"

Both are very pure and innocent love stories. The atmosphere in Kimi ni todoke is only slightly deeper than the one in KareKano. Both Anime have great and fitting music that underlines "the spring of youth" that is shown in both shows. Enjoy!

Both series emanate a certain melancholy. Both shows are very depressing on the one hand, but also hopeful and empathetic. Both animes have a choice of really beautiful, fitting music. The stories may differ, but the atmospheres are very similar.
