Happy birthday

We did get a few fights with Asuna and Mito, and I did mention them. I said Kirito and Asuna's meeting was cool. I said there were a few cool fights, but they just didn't stand out because the animation was subpar.
For the rest, you can't pretend we didn't get more Slice of Life than action in this movie.

It doesn't give more information than the first two eps of SAO. That's my issue with this movie. It doesn'd add any major plot point, it doesn't introduce any important character, it merely extends the length of scenes we'd already seen... and SLice of Life.

As for season 1, the SoL part did annoy me. But it was still new stuff so it was compelling reagardless. What was compelling about seeing Asuna's real life friends that we'll never hear of again? What was compelling about seeing Asuna discover food taste when we had already seen it?

Tell me exactly : what did we learn what we hadn't discovered in the first two eps? The only way to redeem this movie is to give Mito importance in the next movies ; that could happen, I haven't read Progressive so I don't know.
