Monster is a great anime,iIt has a very good beginning that marks very well the main theme of the series (are all lives worth the same?) and it's incredible how it progresses in general, both the story and the characters, although there are some secondary episodes that bored me a little, from episode 25 to 74 it takes an incredible leap in quality, and not only maintains the level, but it is gradually surpassed, until reaching the great climax. This, plus the great setting made by Madhouse studio, is incredibly enjoyable, it has great subplots that tie into the main plot flawlessly

Most of the characters ... are very well used, and even characters that don't appear for many episodes have a very good development, and, above all, characterization.
Oh, and the ending (no spoilers, of course) is one of my favorites, and with a great symbolization behind it that left my hair standing on end. One of my favorite anime endings without a doubt.

Final Rating: 10/10.
Favorite Characters: Tenma, Johan, Grimmer, Eva and Lunge
Recommended? Yes, despite having a good start it's a bit slow, it's extremely worth taking your time to watch it, at least I didn't regret it

Plot:
The story progresses quickly at first, but the dialogues often don't fit the moment, while other scenes drag on unnecessarily. The focus on Midou becomes repetitive, especially in the later chapters, though there are some interesting twists, the plot is largely inconsistent, I give it a 4/10

Ending:
The ending isn’t the worst I've seen, but it’s certainly near the bottom, Midou’s suicide feels out of place, and even though the story tries to tie everything together, it lacks the emotional punch necessary, leaving a void that seems unexplored, it feels like something important was left unresolved, I give it a 2.5/10

Characters:
.- Protagonist (2.5/10): His development is ... inconsistent. He makes nonsensical decisions and changes his mind in a forced manner, especially at the end. While he improves slightly towards the final chapters, it's still hard to root for him.
.- Ikki (6/10): Initially comes off as the most sensible character, grounded, and always with a backup plan, but he becomes annoying in the final stretch, even when he's trying to help his friend.
.- Shino (7/10): Provides a good twist in the story. Her final move against Midou is satisfying, delivering the worst possible punishment: being forgotten.
.- Shiho (8/10): Though she’s a bit naive for trusting that Midou lost his memory, her character remains consistent and logical throughout the story.
.- Nurse (5/10): She lets herself be corrupted and suffers the consequences. While she bears much of the torture, her lack of action when it mattered most knocks her down.
.- Antagonist (6/10): A solid yandere who can be irritating at times, but her constant manipulation works. Her ending doesn’t surprise, but she always had control of the plot.

Resolution:
The story tries to wrap up neatly but leaves a bad taste, the conclusion doesn’t deliver the expected satisfaction, overall, it’s a plot with ups and downs and a difficult-to-like protagonist, I give it a 2.5/10

Recommended:
If u like yanderes and turning off ur brain, this is ur manga, if not, u’re better off finding something else worthwhile
