Demon slayer is a pleasant surprise to come out the shonen genre, and it feels much more refined compared to its recent counter parts (MHA, Fire Force). and dulls out some of the major aspects that are found within the genre. By this I mean it glosses over aspects that would just expand an episodes run time, instead of the meandering over it for multiple episodes.

Story: 3
The story is as mediocre as it gets with interesting, but overplayed elements (main character protecting ___ family member). I wish that they explored the demons more and the universe that surrounds these characters. My biggest complaint of this ... being, in the final episode on of the characters mentions "oh the government doesnt recognize demon slayers so we should keep quiet" or something. This is just an inexcusable aspect to ignore when building a universe as around episode 10 they are in a city with their swords drawn and being prosecuted by police. Just a very odd choice that shows a lack in world building that seems quite easy to establish.

Art: 10
As anything made by Ufotable. the art is absolutely stunning and each frame has incredible detail. The CGI is done better than most shows and doesn't take away from the show. The fights in this show are consistent and truly incredible, the fight vs. Rui is probably one of the best done fights in anime, from a visual standpoint.

Character: 6
I like most of the characters a bit more than average (except Zenitsu). The main character is quite likable as you want him to succeed in his goals and ambitions.

Character Design: 10
Im not sure how to put it but I just love the character design in this show. The best way for me to put it would be refined and inspired

Overall: 8
I would definitely recommend Demon Slayer as it is an entertaining show and im quite excited for season 2

Animation- 10
This is where the show shines, the fights through the anime are truly incredbile and the style of animation supports the weight of each attack. Each battle holds up for itself and shows the effort and time the animators put into the show and I applaud them.

Art Style- 7
I am a fan of soul eater and really enjoy the character design and art style for all characters

Sound - 10
The design in the sound when Shinra uses his ability is amazing in many ways and captures the essence of his power. Introduction in the first episode really highlights how incedible the sound design is as ... Shinra's ability make it feel like your inside a jet engine.

Story - 4
Story is alright, quite predicticable and a bit uninspired. Many things in the story seem to be a stretch for this unestablished and unbuilt univervse they live it.

Fanservice - pain
The fanservice is infuriating. It is placed in the most absurd moments in the show. Personally I can deal with fanservice, as I dont care for it whatsoever and can mostly ignore it. But it is placed in the most unusual places in the middle of fights and dialogues. Theyre trying to reach the largest demographic and everytime the Tamaki character is on screen, it quite possibly ruins every episode, as she gets groped or becomes naked for literally reason contextually. One scene she gets scared and her clothes and bra fly off. by far the biggest complaint with the show.

Characters - 4
Most characters are average and quite stereotypical. But there is a really strange contrast with most characters and they say and do things that don't really make sense for how the show is trying to build them.

Overall - 7
I found fire force better than the average shonen, which honestly is not saying much. But redeems itself in many ways through the animation and sound deisgn. I would definitely recommend this show for that alone, as well for the fact that it is a pretty relaxed watch and you kinda just chill out to the show.
