Bartender:Kami no Glass is one of the many shows I randomly chose to watch at the start of the season and it was a welcome surprise,Its very slow paced in the best way possible, becoming a great show to watch if you just want to relax and have something,which is typical of a slice of life, but something about this one was uniquely meditative. If you're on the fence or don't wish to commit the time to a full season, watch the ... first two episodes and see how you feel.
The show is paced in a semi episodic format, so if you wish to take it slow you wont find yourself lost or confused where the story is going. The first few episodes are especially soothing to watch, the show thrives in its atmosphere of the Tokyo nightlife or the calming lights of the bar. With the latter half of the show focusing more on the characters inner struggles and developments, which was more satisfying to see than i expected it would. Though as much as I loved the pacing, the mid season episodes kind of dragged a bit, trying to bridge the gap between what the stories they wish to conclude in the latter half and retaining the status quo of the first half.

Each character is well designed both in terms of their character and their design, everyone in this show has their own charm and I love it, I with many of the side characters feeling equal to the main characters in terms of development

Visually the show is slightly above average, unfortunately it suffers from classic issues with many anime like stiff shifting of posing and still drawings with only mouths flapping, which is common for slice of life, just still disappointing. But behind the bar movements are snappy and dynamic, really feels like their time was spent perfecting every scene in which a drink is made, almost like and alcoholic Delicious in Dungeon. Just watch (and listen) to anyone in this show using a cocktail shaker, its so satisfying.

Overall, This is a great show and well worth checking out, its unique,mature and therapeutic. Edenhall is more than willing to serve you with something to soothe your soul.

10/10,the term masterpiece was made for manga like this

For a manga about expressing emotions through writing over speech,this is a lot to express. I am shocked i have never heard of this and im glad i didnt because you cant spoil this.
Never have i evey had such a strong emotion or even physical reaction to a piece of media, ever. Every characters depiction hits so close to home it hurts, story like this cant be told without characters like these and its cast is perfect.
Everyone here feels like a real person, in a way that know other anime or manga has done before, these characters ... and complex, they think and act like real people do, theres no flanderization
The art work never tries to wow you, theres no hyperdetailed 2 page spreads or anuthing wild. But the art is a consistent 10 out of 10, its style is unique and bouncy,its characters are wildly expressive with real emotion. Its depictions of anxiety and depression is the best ive ever seen,done perfectly using its art and writing. This is manga is a lot. As much as i love 100 chapter plus stories, this is a 32 chapter MasterPiece.

Thats what I screamed watching this thing. To put simply, this is an above average isekai, its good, not great (its only above average because of how low the bar is for isekai) It would be worth watching if it wasnt for the sheer amount of Rape and straight up Pedophilia, in this show, Rape and Pedophilia that is done with the perspective of, Rape and Pedophilia is cool right
After learning of a character Raping a woman while she sleeps, are main character says "I respect this man", the rapist. This same character would forcefully strip a child against there ... will and try to fuck his twelve year old relative, Rape and Pedophilia. I just want to repeat, Rape and Pedophilia.

I am so down for a show with a piece of shit protagonist, 100% down for that, Im not down for a show that is a piece of shit, where Rape and Pedophilia are praised. I wanted to believe that the protagonists past trauma would relate to him being terrible, not excusing his actions, but instead giving him a starting point to improve himself ,which is definitely their intentions for the character, but I guess Rape and Pedophilia arent considered a negative and he never changes.

Ive heard, that this is a good show if you can ignore these aspect, Rape and Pedophilia are very heard to ignore XD. But. Rape and Pedophilia aside... Its okay I guess. Animation is Boring as Fuck 90% of the time, or INSANELY GOOD honestly for the other 10%.

The story, Is a pretty generic Isekai plot with the twist of him being reincarnated into a child, Which was interesting in the beginning, until this part of the show was used as an "excuse" for pedophilia, are protagonist is 30 something years old and is trying to fuck everything child that is unfortunate enough to meet him. See, its hard to ignore

If you can excuse Rape and Pedophilia, you are gifted with a "good" isekai. Even without the Rape and Pedophilia Theres better things to watch.

To start,rewatch the great pretender before watching this,personally i havent watched the original for a few years now and i spent way too much time during this film thinking "whos that?".

Overall This was a decent film, comparing it to the original series... it just doesnt have the high points that the original has,its consistently good, not great. The original had amazing and absurd climaxes that this just didnt have, the climax wqs anti climactic, confusing (partially because of the reason above) and just wasnt super satisfying.

The film takes a different approach from the conman style of the original its kind of an action ... drama? Not a lot of conman stuff beyond on character. Which less focus on grifts and tricks could be good,but there isnt really anything to grab onto, if you drop what the series is known for you need to replace it with something equally strong and they just dont do that leaving the characters, plot and pacing feel aimless

Also why is edamura in this film? Did is something or did he just do nothing.

As for visuals,its great pretender, this film is beautiful and I recommend watching the film just for the beauty of it alone, its a style i cant get enough of and if this film exiated purely to give us more of that id say it was worth it.

Overall this is a mixed bag and i cant say it lives up to the original, however id recommend a watch if you just finished a watch/re watch of the series or if your really hankering for more GP, i know i was.

This Can be one of the best RomComs! When it wants to be...

I remember seeing watching some manga dubs of tomo chan a while back on youtube as my first exposure to manga, so when the anime was announced i was hyped, even thought i never got around to watching it until now, I went into this with high expectations that were immediately let down, the first 5 or 6 episodes are quiet a slog,but i dont know what happened after that point but the show miraculously became one of the best romcom animes ive seen in a while (granted the bar is very low, ... this genre is a cesspit) despite really not enjoying my time with this show for a good chunk of it,I cant think of anything i hate about this show doesnt hit the lows of Rent a girlfriend, instead the show hits peaks where its genuinely the best romcom ive seen and lows where its the most generic bullshit.

This is what i find divisive about this show and why i would have called it "fine" if it wasnt for the phenomenal last few episodes, the show doesnt do anything i hate, theres no cheap fanservice (Holy shit its been a while since i said that) theres not shitty tropes or annoying characters, but. while it doesnt do anything bad, it doesnt do anything good for long periods of time, there might be a really sweet or funny scene and then its several boring scenes with the characters acting out there basic character traits with little depth

Despite all this, i really want to recommend this, for some fucking reason the show makes a drastic turn in quality, carol being stupid, gundo being meddling, jun and tomo being awkward bros, arent just by the numbers plot points to make a quick and easy scene, these character aspects are actually devoloped well! Making you question your understanding of the character and the show as a whole. Like i dont know what to say, the increase in enjoyability of the show caught me off gaurd so much

TLDR: This CAN be a good show, and eventually the best parts of this show outweight the boring parts later on, and becomes one of the best in the genre if you can make it through the boring dry spells

I gave this a 7, however I believe this entire show and this season in particular could be ranked anywhere between a 1 or a 10,There is just so much wrong and right in this season, there are so many 10/10 emotional moments that are immediately tossed out the window since the show runners need to show that kazuya is awkward or its been 20 minutes and we havent gawked a girl yet. I want to defend Kazuya because I think he can be a good character If the show lets him be normal, without spoiling, he seems to lack an understanding of human ... emotions, theres an entire episode dedicated to him figuring out that, "Oh maybe chizuru is sad" after a tragic event, and immediately coming to the worst conclusion of how to make her happy. I think kazuya's state in my mind is very telling of the entire show, He has moments where he shows great passion and character development, he's still a loser but he's not the loser he was in season 1, But he's getting worse, becoming more annoying,more of a wimp, and even more incompitent to the point where he's not even human anymore. While other shows can have annoying, tone deaf moments where characters mentally undress eachother because the show treats its audience like idiots, this show cant afford to do that, because it can be so good! (that doesnt excuse other shows from doing that though). This show deserves better, but it cant help itself from being trash constantly

The showrunners seem to think like this:

We have a great cast of characters!- But every character except from chizaru and Kazuya has no reason to be in the story at this point, but we need cute girls in the story so just try and push them in somehow
We Have amazing emotional moments!- but out audience are idiots that just want to see tits so we'll do a bit of drama and then try to shoehorn in some breasts
We can be funny with our absudism!- The show isnt being emotional, or creepy with fanservice....Nows the time for drama!

How. How can you be so good and ruin it at every turn. I want to like this show, and SOMETIMES i Love this show, but I cant recommend it, the parts that are good are so good! but i dont think its right to recommend a show that can be great but refuses to be good because the show treats its audience like horny morons.
