Since i also read the light novel, i disagree with the other people saying this season is bad. There will be a few SPOILERS in this review, but only about what already happened (or should have but was skipped/overlooked) in the show.
The plot is very good, the adaptation is bad. The art style took a step back from the previous season. The number of episodes is nowhere close to the necessary amount of time necessary for the whole Kyo's arc. Honestly, i think that only the spirit tortoise arc should've covered 12 episodes. They skipped a huge amount of content that maybe wasn't necessary for ... the story, but added details to it. The search for the disappeared heroes for example, was completely omitted, they just "found them" by chance. Not to talk about the Kizuna's World part, which skips a lot of content too. For example, how do you explain Naofumi taking items (that he didn't craft) out of the shield if you skip the part where thay say that the holy/vassal weapons have some sort of "inventory"?
Overall i still enjoyed the series because i'm a long time fan, but i think that it could have been handled way better.
