Both World Trigger and Kaijuu no.8 have a strong sci-fi-esque ambience, and if you're into that aesthetic, I recommend checking out either series! But that is not the only similarity! In both cases, the city is in constant danger from monsters appearing, and the protagonists are specialized in defending the city. Well, that's a strong similarity! But wait, it gets even stronger: while the standard weapons depend on the individual's abilities and creativity, there are some rare personalized weapons, that require the user's compatibility and that are made from other people's sacrifices. So, if any of those aspects captivated you in one series, you might enjoy it in the other title as well!

Beastars

both series' are supposed to be a commentary on society. Beastars uses animals to communicate discrimination by using things like herbivores and carnivores. Pluto uses robots and humans to do this and utilises stuff like mechanical and biological things. Both showcase discrimnation and unjust in society. Both are a reimagining of the current world but they both substitute it with other things but essentially the problems in beastars and pluto are evident in the real world too!

Great visuals, fast paced and a fairly original plot. If you like the whole, "lets band together to save the world," feel then Blue Exorcist and Guilty Crown are right for you. Blue Exorcist very much like Guilty Crown are weapon based adventures, that push the protagonist to the inner limits. Well the time watching.

Both main characters have only started their special school. One is about demons and the other is about humanoid aliens. both mains have a "little helper" and both are "of the wrong side". without spoiling anything else i would say they both seem a lot alike.

Its very hard seeing cute innocent children being the vocal point when it comes to fighting insanely powerful ugly monsters, but both of these anime's do just that. The children in both stories show with the right motivations anything can be achieved when it seems hopeless with no end insight. The two narratives show an amazing heartwarming and emotional ride between the children as they set out to take on what seems impossible.

Both made by the same director, Mamoru Kanbe. Both are deep psychological shows with dark themes. Both involve perceived threats to humanity. Although EL has gore and TPN does not. Both show the same horrors. Although the storylines are different, there are similarities in tone and feel. If you like one you will like the other.

These animes both have supernatural interactions and fun stories. Tanjiro and Hanako are both trying to beat the evil side even though their both afraid of doing it so. Tsukasa and Muzan both created a source of evil in a violent way. These two animes have a lot in common which is why I think their a good match up.

If you like the whole "I've outsmarted you!", "But I've outsmarted you!", "And I've outsmarted you!" etc. aspect, both of these anime contain plenty of that in them, as well as the dangerous guardian (Koro-sensei/Mama) facet.

They both have a slightly BL relationship between the two main characters with similar dynamics in terms of moral tension. The characters were friends from when they were young and parent-less. There are some shared themes of existentialism, Biblical references (angels, demons, apocalypse), war between different species (humans and demons/vampires), & characters with dubious intentions.Seraph of the End is a more light-hearted and typical Shounen, while Devilman is very dark and psychologically disturbing.

*POSSIBLE SPOILERS FOR BOTH* There's a lot of similar themes like existentialism, found family, human experimentation, achieving "the end", characters with extremely dubious motives, Biblical references (angels, demons, apocalypse)...NGE is more on the psychological/disturbing side while Seraph of the End has the more typical Shonen action themes.

Similar vibes. I would classify them as the same 'type' of isekai. The MC travels to another world and, using his/her skills from our world, improves or better the new world. Both MCs are kind of know-it-all characters and interestingly, both also have blue hair. They both are a bit too perfect and can do nothing wrong, I guess, but Rimuru (Slime) is also definitely OP.

Not completely the same, but in some parts, it reminded me of Danmachi. Fighting against beasts. Abyss looked similar to Dungeon. The main characters looked similar. Both the animes are great and worth watching.

The God of High School
add

Both these series are based heavily in their fight scenes, and they make the fight scenes look GOOD. They have their comedic moments and tragic moments. And the colours in the god of high school are very vivid, making each panel amazing pieces of art. It is similar to bleach in the way that despite it's huge cast, all the characters are fleshed out and well developed. I highly recommend The God Of High School as well as giving bleach, the legendary member of the big 3 from the past a try, I swear it isn't just hype.

Both have characters who are trying to escape from their despair by using their intelligence and sheer will to power through. They both fall in the dystopian category with Edward Elric's country being a military state, and the country itself being a WW2 reference with them as Germany. Over time in the story the situation seems to get even worse too. They both also have nice sound effects.

If you liked Ajin or the Promised Neverland... You'd enjoy the other. Both are set in a world that has a much darker side to it, the main cast are both struggling to survive in a world they thought they knew. The people they thought were friends, may or may not still be their friends. Both anime are complex, have a great pacing to them and contain 'monsters'.

+Bold "underdog" protagonists that stand up to elitists. +Protagonists somehow manages to win (mostly). +Enlists in a faction that is another kind of underdog attributed to the leads. +A female side character who is elitist but later trusts the protagonist. +Clear goal to become the best in their respective fields. +Leads who are lighthearted that don't take themselves too seriously. +Leads are constantly underestimated.

Both the shows revolve around a relationship between a weapon and the user of the weapon. I take similar themes such as human hunting various supernatural creatures for many reasons such as revenge, gaining strength and etc. Personally I feel both the shows have similar stories but with the use of different genres.

Both series are much complex than they seem at first. They have other common points: both use many Judeo-Christian references, they both place in a post-apocalyptic world where humanity is close to extinction under the threat of powerful enemies that seem unbeatable and many more. Even if they differ, Evangelion being more serious, slower and putting different reflections under the spotlight and Owari no Seraph being more of a normal shonen anime, with more comedy (good one) and action.

Both have action , fights , and fantasy and a very interesting story , although completely different from each other . One is darker than the other , where the MC trains hard to become strong and protect his remaining family while the other might seem a bit more chill , where the MC is OP but the MC has something to protect too . Either way I enjoyed both very much , both are , to me , very good anime

Trigun and Mob Psycho both engage with deep philosophical questions relating to violence, nonviolence, and the value of human life. The protagonists are also similar in that they both have immense power, and engage with the responsibility that comes with it. Mob Psycho is, however, much more lighthearted and comedic than Trigun, and takes a more optimistic tone overall.

- Shinji and Kirito are complex protagonists with lots of depth who are more than who they appear to be at first; - Asuka and Asuna are headstrong, beautiful and badass girls who also have/had issues with their respective mothers; - Similar genres (Drama, Sci-Fi, Tragedy); - Futuristic settings and vast world buildings; - Magnificent art styles and character designs; - NGE has a (zig-zagged) coming-of-age subplot while SAO has two of these stories, Fairy Dance for Kirito and the Mother's Rosario for Asuna; - The epitome of controversialism amongst the anime community; Both series have characters who are generic on the surface, but once you delve into their minds you're able to see their intricacies, facets and developments, the plot for both series also starts off generic but in the last part they become deep and meaningful stories about the concepts of what it means to be human, both series have epic fights, romantic subplot, realistic and relatable characters and amazing interactions between them, they're both highly influential and they also have compelling and satisfying endings.
