Unlike some peasant who they are better for watching in 4K monitor (or less) even though they simply torrent from illegal site and watch flat 2D, this is meant to be enjoyed as 4D experience in theater so this review will be written a la movie experience, so Kayaba bless you if this feel like an advertisement for moving chair
Story (and execution)
If you skip first half (or all) of SAO season 1 for some reason, you can start from this movie
SAO is the series who brought Isekai (or anime on that matter) to mainstream audience. Contrast to feel-good isekais that flood the market later,
...
it immediately give not-so-subtle message by giving both body count and telling that the involved party can’t escape. Even though it seem sort of material for a movie, this is a movie with videogame as premise (tutorial, grinding, planning raid) for 2 hours. If you think that’s too much you haven’t play MMO for real (I hope ‘2 hour’ part of the premise don’t discourage you)
Character
You will see the aforementioned gist of playing MMO from the eyes of newbie (Asuna) and that’s how you show the rosy-colored part of playing game. That’s why gamers play even in between time they become jaded and just pursuing numbers. Having Asuna as the main enchance the range of emotion this movie could show
Atmosphere (I guess this is how story is executed)
I watched Weathering With You in normal 2D, that’s 10/10 atmosphere material that combine saturation of rain and sound. Both can’t be used here.
Instead this movie show the grip of getting trapped in other world, and that’s the first thing you need to get your audience into these kind of ‘trapped in game’ scenario. What follow afterward are affirmation of how players brutally die from mob while our pov character watch (disclaimer, at this point some viewers who accustomed to just watching other players die might feel detached but that’s just majority of gamers). And silverlink manage to do it to make the premise believably scary.
Now what’s so special about 4D theater? Feeling how mob get beaten up, how Asuna accelerating and getting physical feeling of battling mobs other than your fingers hitting buttons.
This is anime entertainment in its highest form (until they make VR movie, that’s why I bought another ticket)
Animation
In relation to animation, the game’s Switch system, Asuna’s constant lunging and and players aggroing enemies give reason to show us delicious camera circling animation
Sound
Choir? They can still use Kalafina? When I hear screaming lady I had a hunch it was Lisa. I knew it was lisa. I can’t comment on anything in particular here. 6, elevated to 7 for songs. Day+1 edit, I remember the Kalafina-esque choir that herald strong enemies and help give tense atmosphere. +1
As anime I give it 9 but as movie experience a solid 10. I wish I can drag other people irl to watch this

Non-spoiler review for Stampede. First, I recently read "Everything GREAT About Godzilla King of the Monsters! " quote from tomato "flashy cgi is not replacement for good story". To which I think this is the kind of people who watch pixar movie and think Pixar formula is a genre that have to be applied to all animated movie. Aint need that to see characters beating each other in glorious Wano animation. But I digress
Story 7
I told you I dont care about the story but I still have to tell you. Pirates gather up in 1 place for supposed Roger-related treasure, following that various faction also
...
blend in for their own agenda.
Right off the bat there are 2 problems with the plot, even disregarding this being a movie. And no, swarming up for nonsense is what these characters do in OP so this fits well. Movies usually slipped/took place in middle of arc but this one have Luffy at 1.5b AND the crew already gather up and the Supernovas are intact. There is few story other than the initial race to treasure hunt and then we are left with each faction reaction against the villain next reveal. I guess that is still engaging instead of the usual exploration/adventure.
Characters 9
In this movie the characters are on characters, thankfully no one act exaggerated (unlike that 1 horror OP movie). This is why people seek movie, OVA, spinnoff and doujinshi: you would imagine "this is what a character would do if they were in this situation".
The main villain is bullet, his background is bring up at 3/4 mark of the movie. It justify why such a strong character only appear now, after fighting Supernovas. Also Per usual OP movie we got an additional DV user as side haracter but this one plays out well in the end.
But the main reason is the amount of players this movie involve in less than 2 hours. Have you seen the trailer?
Pace 5
This is Like MTG's War of the Spark novel by Greg Weisman: It is sluggish because this movie keep describing who is who even to some catchphrases. In some instances it work because we see Bullet recognize the rank of who he fight against.
(Idle) Animation 6+1
Right off the bat you can notice the brush-like edge for character design that they use in weekly anime. It looks low-budget at time, nothing fancy for a movie
Fighing (Animation) 8
Animation flow is energetic like typical movie. When they fight, the pace increase more than the anime. It feels really exciting especially when you remember we dont get many action beteren heavy hitters these past 3 months.
CGI is used to animate the villain's power looks awesome even in dark hue and they manage to make distinct movement among full black haki. This carries to the hand drawing.
Soundtrack 6+1
Standard movie soundtrack, good but not memorable. Music fit the theme and help setting atmosphere and theh carry the anime sound effect. Arittakeno yume o kaki atsume!
Final verdict 8,5
Bring your friend to watch and have fun with the hype. But not worth rewatching in cinema or buying BD.

Cute megane maid in musical world
Story
For those unfamiliar with the setting, in Polyphonica a ‘master’ train with musical instrument, attract fairy(ies), make contract and graduate. One of story of Polyphonica stories, Eternal White is told from Snow, a shrinking glasses schoolgirl who serve her lady. Her familiar is a stalker fairy, aptly named Bianca. It feels psychological at times, focussing on what each master or fairy was before moving into the academy.
Art
especially Snow’s design, is what drag me into buying a copy that has been torn apart. It is really nice to read a story whos MC design is to your liking.
...
Character
is done well with little volume it have. With so many masters and fairies Youko Fujioka manage to make some ‘interesting’ characters who manage to leave impression on first glance.
Enjoyment
The issue I have with this manga is in transition. It is like one story jump to another one without conclusion to previous one.
Bottom line I wish it have more time to continues with the story or characters that has been developed.
PS that Preliminary tag is there because this manga ends at ch23 but MAL put it at 25.

Story
A young man came to educate a young witch on how to behave and socialize. The story start as bond of trust between our MC and the little witch, then develops into a slice of life. The bond part is a bit cliche but only happen at beginning, after that what follow is how the mangaka tell us about human’s difference. From how to get a witch accepted in human village
Art
Cute art with wide, bubbly face. Kind of like Ume Aoki. They are suitable to describe contrast between open-minded MC, the rough witch, stingy landlady and soap opera fan.
Character
Our focus characters will
...
be Camilo, a teacher from USA who transfer to French to get Ruru, a rare little witch, to behave and get along with her caretaker. In first volume so far both of them aren’t acting erratically. Camilo is a wild card here since he seems solve whatever problem we have at hand by keeping smile in his face and having opimist thought. But something told me he has more than meet in the eye
Enjoyment
I enjoy this a bit and honestly would know more, especially since in vol 2 cover, there is another little, unknown white-haired girl. But I don’t think it is worth to buy the next volume
Overall
A pleasant tale in a modern French village, enjoy with cup of tea or milk in afternoon
