I just finished watching this movie (yes I know it's a bit late). Now I've heard people say that it's "not good" which really upsets me to hear. What I personally believe is that it's expectations as a follow up to Your Name were extremely high! I feel like that's unfair really considering Your Name is the one anime I've watched and believe it's an absolute masterpiece. It had expectations it couldn't keep up with and nothing else would've ever been able to keep up with because nothing could ever beat perfect it could just keep up with it.
Now the art was incredible.

Total eye candy to me it was pleasing to watch and in general movies from this studio are always pleasing to watch because their art is some of the most beautiful out there.
The story was great honestly, I loved how the main character didn't give up to fight for what he believed was right and I love how it gives off that "It doesn't matter if everything around is miserable because together we are happy no matte what" type energy. (sorry that's really the only way I know how to put it)
Sound was truly incredible. Beautiful soundtrack, amazing music reminds me of your name music and I'm gonna have to go find all these songs to put on my playlist. Rain sounds (basically most the movie) mastered I'd say. Pleasing to listen to and calming. Watching this after a bad day could make you feel a lot better.
Characters were beautiful. I loved all of the characters. Who is there to dislike in this they're just all so fitting to the movie. Also glad they showed Taki and Mitsuha I realize they didn't exactly show them together and I feel that leaves the mystery to the ending of your name but at the same time may lead some people to think that the ending meant nothing and they never ended up together. (I feel it shouldn't be looked too deep into and I feel the movie was meant to leave you imagining the ending how you'd like it to be. I don't think the point of them being in this movie was to intend anything, I just feel they were here to show how the people that might not play a big role in their lives have gone through their own stuff too and you'd never be able to tell. I hear another movie comes out and I hope the kids from this one are in that or will be in a future movie as well.)
Enjoyment.....Hell yeah..It wasn't your name I'll say it again. It's true that I didn't cry while watching this but I don't feel like that's what it's really about. I felt the character's feelings in this movie and it moved me in it's own way and I feel that's truly what it's about and I did enjoy watching this movie and I am certain I will watch it again in the future and because of that I'll give it 9/10 just for the factor that I have seen others dip into my emotions a bit more, but that doesn't change how much I loved this.
OVERALL I highly suggest watching this for anyone who is looking for a review to see if it's good. It's incredible. This studio brings out romance but not like those ecchi romance animes that pop around like nagatoro, uzaki or kitagawa but this puts the ROMANCE into romance. I feel movies like this are the actual explanation for the word romance. If anyone asks me what romance is this movie would be a good way to send them to give an explanation.
Final thoughts about the ending is that it really was the only part that kind of disappointed me and that's because I feel it was a bit too rushed into and the amount of time put in between the events and the time they get to see each other again was a lot. I feel that was on purpose just like in your name to prove the impact they put on eachothers lives but still I feel it could've been better or even just taken a bit more slowly maybe. I loved it anyway changes none of my feelings for it. Definitely a favorite WATCH IT IF YOU HAVEN'T!!!!!
