To say this manga dropped the ball would be an understatement. The entire first half of the manga is pure gold. The characters, the timing, the way they all develop and change are honestly quite amazing.
Then the second half happens and the entire thing goes downhill. The plot becomes filled with annoying cliche.
Evil twins, Amnesia, so-and-so didn't die, etc. It all comes together at the end when major players who you thought were dead all gather in the last 5 chapters for one showdown and most of them barely get a line out before they killed for no reason other than the plot

Coming across Toradora at first the few episodes might throw you off, but don't be fooled. This anime is one for the ages.
Every main character in this anime goes through a development. There might be a time when you don't like so-and-so but that will change. The anime itself has a pretty interesting art style to it especially during the more serious scenes and one certain scene near the end. The music and sound are both great. The music fits well even the typical anime music found in every show fits well. The only biggest flaw is how they failed to incorporate the light novel completely ... Aug 19, 2016

I will say I love the VN. The anime itself is a disappointment.
Transferring a VN's story to an anime is always very difficult. This anime is a fine example on how not to do it. Instead we are given rushed story lines, very little interaction between the characters, and lack of development between the characters. For example: One character dies in the VN but we are given quite a lot of time before we see this. The character grows on us and the death is very emotional. The character in the anime is given.. one episode (and only about 10 - 15 mins). No emotional build-up, ... |
