The anime is a mixed bag of feelings, some things are really good and others are mediocre at best.

I really enjoyed the slice of life parts of the anime. It captures the feeling of a VR MMO game with a person who has a real life alongside it. (Especially in the first few episodes, you feel that he is playing a game, but knows that the game can bring him something in his life, be it thoughts or memories).

I also like the idea of escaping into a VR world - whatever that says about my mental health *laughs*.

You see the characters grow and become more ... believable.
They are not perfect and they make mistakes, and for that they remain relatable.

I felt that the animation quality was not very good. Lots of stills and nothing happening in terms of action.
But I would rather have a "well drawn" still than a bad CGI animated scene!

I generally liked the characters.
I would have liked to see more focus on the romantic parts and the implications of that, but maybe that would be something for season 2.

In conclusion, this anime has many flaws, but for me it was generally enjoyable.
If you like the setting, you could also enjoy it.

Such a strong first few episodes!
The first episodes are a masterpiece for me, unfortunately the following episodes get much weaker, but should still be a good watch for most!
Maybe next season will push it even further *hope*.
I felt that each character had a background and reacted accordingly, each with their own style.
The animation was also very strong in the first few episodes, suggesting a great opus.

It is really heartbreaking that the high quality of the first episodes not only could not be kept up, but for me the anime dropped to a below average level...
Also the pacing was somehow perfect in the beginning, but ... after that it felt wrong... ....

All in all a mixed bag, but I still liked it and hope for the best!
