So, Shikizakura huh, it is very less likely that you are here, without being interested in the show, so I would like to present what the show can and cannot offer. Thanks for Reading in advance.
The story for the show is told in a very complicated manner. What I mean by that is, that the main progression of the story is fairly simple along with the happenings, but the actual reason to why the things that are happening, and why are certain things being pursued is complicated, which might be confusiing. Therefore, 5 /10 for the story.
The only good thing that I find about this
...
show is that the sound is really good. Like the EDM tracks during the fight scenes, along with the ED, are quality songs, and that is what elevated the fights to a higher level. So yeah, 8/10 for the sound.
From the above, it is also clear that there are no standout characteres who drive the show except 1 or 2 people. But even so, the events that are happening give enough enjoyment to go through the whole thing. Therefore, 3/10 for the characters and 4/10 for the enjoyment.
The animation was heavily CG based but that does not take away from the enjoyment, all the scenes are fairly well done. The art is nothing special too. So overall for art and animation, it is a 4/10.
Overall, shikizakura is a mecha anime, with kind of a complicated backdrop, light progression, okayish art, good fights with music, and a good ED. Hope this helps you decide if you want to give it chance.

I mean this is another sports anime for many people, but isn't this very near perfection. I started this anime as I was coming into this season after finishing Taisou Zamurai by Mappa, about gymnastics which I liked a lot lot, that is when I added this to my PTW. Incredibly happy that I did.
Beauty in terms of animation. Soundtrack is just as beautiful and fitting as the animation. But the thing that will stick with me are the characters, the variety, the motivation, the situation and all of it coming together to form one team. The coach's character was the most fascinating of all
...
of them, and loved him throughout the run. The monologues at different stages were so good. I do not care for so called "tropes", until the story is strong enough to include them but not rely on them. This show may have used some tropes, but the execution of the voice acting, animation and soundtrack, char design was excellent. A strong 9/10 for me, as it personally relaxed each time I watched it, made me emotional, but in the end the words from the coach also gave us a moral to include in our life or think about.
"THE FUTURE IS IMPORTANT, AND YOU SHOULD NOT DO ANYTHING TO COMPROMISE YOURS, RE-EVALUATE YOUR PATH AT TIMES TO SEE IF YOU ARE HEADED IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION. STILL IT IS NOT OKAY TO WORRY(KEEP WORRYING) ABOUT THE FUTURE AT THE EXPENSE OF HOW YOU ARE FEELING RIGHT NOW"

hentai reviews yay, no one bothers to write, So I thought why not.
I will be careful not to give any spoilers. (lol)
So, The characters are hentai characters, male characters who do not open their eyes, most of the time, except the time when they are looking for... . (5/10) for characters.
It fulfilled its purpose, and the voice acting was good. They actually have an outro music and ost, so props for that too. The art was not fluid, which is understandable as these are low budget projects. Still 3/10 art.
In any case, the story is pretty averagish hentail story, so taking everything into account
...
overall 5/10, still it FULFILLS THE PURPOSE.

A good plot, good music, CGI animation, I don't especially have a problem with CGI, but still CGI lacks the feel of a real anime, and makes it look slightly cartoonish. Therefore 6/10 for animation.
8/10 for the plot, and story, a very comfy and chill start, but taking the required turns for the story to progress. Another interesting plot with the AI and human dynamic which may seem repetitive as VIVY is airing in the times of its release. The end and the use of characters was good, so that also get props.
6.5/10 for the sound, the ost wherever it was used was good, but
...
the problem was there was not a lot of ost, it was mostly dialogue and animation, which created some dry spaces here and there. Well, wherever used the OST fitted, and is done by Kevin penkin, so yeah it was good.
7/10 enjoyment and 7/10 overall, it lacked a certain "UNF" to push it higher, but for four episodes and an 1hr 20 min watch, it was a good enough to provide certain emotions and enjoyment.
I will recommend this anime when two conditions are satisfied, 1) if you have a lot of time , 2) Like the concept of vivy and have no problems with CGI.
Thanks for reading

So Hortensia Saga, well is a good anime to say the least. I speak this, keeping in mind that I have no clue of the original game to begin with.
First of all to give an overview, the plot of the anime was interesting to begin with, the sound usage was great if you count the OP and ED in the same category, definitely made my playlist, the characters and the character traits were a bit cliché' but the development as the story moved on was good. The art on the still frames, and the art for the environment was really good, but the
...
fights and action scenes can be a little weird at times. As for enjoyment, the last 3 episodes gave a lot of excitement, and thus the story was able to present itself in a convincing way.
Now for why does it a get a 6? this is going to be a mixed with some spoilers, so let's begin.
In my case, the anime gets a base score on the basis of the level of animation, sound usage, art, character designs etc. And that is why, this anime also started with a 7(Good), as all of the above things were competent with the relative quality of anime that is out there in this season or the previous season. That sums up the explanation of 3/5 categories in my score. Sound is the only category that I gave an 8 as I also count the OP and ED as mentioned above.
That leaves us with the story and enjoyment. These are the two categories which obviously in my case, propels an anime to higher score.
Now for Hortensia, the story started off with a good hook, kept introducing interesting elements, with good revelations at proper timings. It took advantage of the kingdom setup of the world as that enabled it to explore many locations in the 12 ep run the anime received. During this explorations we gained new "Supporters", and also had some character development for the original characters. And thus , after basically spending 1/2 of the time in explorations, near the middle, the story progresses towards its conclusion, and to tell you the truth, the story was tight enough to keep you hooked till the finale. So after getting this much praise, why a 6 for the story, well, again Concluding a story is something SOOO IMPORTANT, that it almost easily overrules any of the good things the anime had done. And oh my lord the ending, how should I say this, The ending could have been great, as in the finale episode, a lot of character arcs closed (almost 90%), the conflict is resolved, some major deaths happen which is all great. If the anime had concluded on that, An Overall 8 for sure, but just because this is a GAME anime, and the purpose is to ADVERTISE the GAME, the story pulled out a ridiculous ending just to give a really forced cliffhanger, just to convey and more importantly make us realize that this is just for advertisement, if you want the real story, go and play the game. Now seriously, I do not like this.
In my opinion, if the turn at the end is removed, Hortensia is not at all a bad anime instead it is a promising anime, and if the story had been a little more tight, it surely is deserving of 6.7-6.8 score, that is between Fine and Good.
Also finally, will I recommend it, well if someone is fan of the military, kingdom, fantasy, magic genre, then I will suggest them to give this a try, but with a disclaimer that end the anime with the final title card.
Hortenisa saga gets a 6 .(sadly).
Thanks for reading, Have a Nice day.
