Almost unlimited potential but a complete letdown through the animation. There were a few things the anime actually improved over the manga by rearranging and adding in new scenes before the Blue Lock vs U20 match but the animation quality can't be ignored since that's literally the medium the story is presented through. Best example is in the final episode in the last matchup between Rin and Sae where you can visibly see the quality drop so much it looks like it was redrawn less than 1 week before airing.
The manga starts this season on chapter 109 which I would recommend for a better experience,
