Imagine spending hours putting together a jigsaw puzzle only to find out that there is one missing piece in the end.
That is how I felt about this installment of the fate order franchise.
Back in March of 2021, after watching the first part in movie theatre, I anxiously waited for the second part to be released. Watched part two in movie theatre but I was left disappointed enough to write this review as I literally just left the theatre.
Don’t get me wrong, the art and sound score were excellent, however the ending to me had no conclusion. Not to spoil anything but the after end
...
credits made things more frustrating.
Nevertheless, anyone whom has watched the first movie, should watch this. Just ignore the ending.

I will never understand the reason why Sunrise continue to produce movies like this.
I also do not understand the reason why anyone who has seen the main series, will want to watch this movie also.
This movie is around two hours of different scenes from the main series, combine together to form a movie. First time viewers who has not seen the main series, will struggle to understand what is going on as there is no continuity throughout the movie or any explanation on the plot.
Those who has already watched the main series (which was good by the way), why would you want to waste your
...
time in watching a recap movie? No offence to other Gundam movies which condenses the series into movie format (see the original Gundam movie trilogy), when done well, could be a joy to watch. Not this movie though, every scene is about a min or so and the next min will be a total different scene from further up episodes from the series.
In summary, this movie is like the intro to the next episode at the end of each episode of a series. If you like watching that than you will enjoy this movie.

Anyone whom has watched the original series and is thinking of watching this movie, let me save you the trouble.
Skip the first movie, watch the second movie onwards instead.
This review is only for the first of the three part movie. The other two movies were ok but this first movie was a total waste of time.
...
Whoever that made this movie just took a bunch of scenes from the original series and combine it into one movie. Everything feels very random and there is no continuity, anyone whom has not seen the original series will not know what is going on.
Don’t get me wrong, the original series was one of the best in the Gundam franchise, however this movie seems to be a cash grab to milk the fans. Forget about the new animated sequences because it really is not noticeable among all the quick scene changes. There are other Gundam movies that combine the series into movie format that is done really well (see the original Mobile Suit Gundam movie trilogy) which first time viewers who have not seen the original series, will still be able to enjoy. Whoever who has not seen the original series will be at a total lost and because of this mistake of a first movie, may not continue in watching the second and third movie which will be a waste as those two are much better.

I spent $13 watching this in the movies this evening (March 11 2021). Minor spoilers in this review.
Anyone who has watched the main series Should know that the mc deals with yokais by returning them their names. This movie had none of that.
This two episodes felt like the mc is a side character whose presence makes no difference.
The first part was about a yokai whom was tasked to wake another yokai up from his slumber. Not much action or drama. Mc just ran around with the yokai looking for the other yokai’s location. This part was boring given that most of the main series already
...
has a slow pace to each episode, this part of the movie (if you can call this a movie, I will come to that later) was extremely draggy even by this series’s standards.
The second part of the movie was about mc’s friend, the one whose father is the chief monk of a temple. This second part of the movie was slightly better as we get to see a little bit more action as the horse yokai had abit of a short battle with the yokai that possessed the mc’s friend. We don’t get to see this yokai as the creators were too lazy to come up with a new design. They just changed the mc’s friend’s eyes and show that to be the yokai that possessed the mc’s friend.
Oh there was this squiggly mess that appeared for a few seconds that you will miss if you blinked, when they showed the yokai that possessed the mc’s friend, left his body to battle the horse yokai. This part of the movie was slightly better than the first part.
This movie is only 52 mins long and for the price of movies ticket nowadays, it’s not worth watching on the big screen as it felt more like an ova than a “movie”. Pacing was very slow that a guy two rows in front of me, started snoring (yes he fell asleep during the first part of the movie).
This felt like a money grab by the creators as they used the name of this popular franchise (don’t get me wrong, I loved the series hence decided to watch this in the movies) to con people into watching this at the movies when it felt like an ova that comes when you purchase the series on dvd/blu ray.
Definitely does not live up to original series 3/10

Is Bofuri meant to be a parody of the Isekai or gaming genre?
Every single episode contains scenarios that Maple and her friends will encounter which she or her friends somehow will bullshit their way to solving the quest. Along the way, Maple will also pick up new skills and rare items effortlessly. She became sort of a celebrity in the game so I wonder why no other player would copy what she did by maxing out vitality so as to have the same God like status as Maple. No one not even the game’s moderator is able to doing anything about it.
Maple
...
on the first day of playing a brand new game she has never play before, is able to defeat a boss level poison hydra when she does not have any weapons available. How she defeats the hydra? By literally eating it in a way that would make Arifureta’s Hajime proud.
Not only is Maple able to defeat the hydra with her bullshit method, she is able to gain a new skill of poison immunity by constantly using HP portions to restore her HP while being under attack from the hydra! Anyone who has ever played any game that use potion to restore HP will know that this feat is impossible.
This is in the very first episode. If this example of the first episode irks you, than I will advise you not pick up this series as it only gets worst.
If Bofuri is not meant as a parody than it is an insult to all other Isekai or gamming series. It has become my all-time worst Isekai or gamming series.

Sometimes generic and cliché are good.
I went into watching Hachi nan tte, sore wa nai deshou expecting all the usual isekai cliché and I wasn’t disappointed. Knowing that it is generic is what made this series enjoyable for me.
There were 2 instances in the series that were memorable and one that really stood out for me (spoiler ahead).
The one that stood out for me was that the Shingo’s brother turned out to be the villain. Although there were early signs, I was pleasantly surprised that a generic isekai series did something not so generic. In my own opinion, i seldom will come across an anime
...
series that outright portray the MC’s family member as the villain. I was expecting the villain to be the Duke that is Shingo’s lord, hence I was glad that this series proved my guess as incorrect.
The other 2 instances in this series, were also in my own opinion, so funny that they deserved to become meme if they aren’t already.
The first scene was when Shingo wanted to speak in private to Elise and went to her mansion. He lay flat on the ground under the window when Elsie’s grandfather looked out.
The second scene was when Louise dress seductively to seduce Shingo into become his concubine, the music ditty she did was simply hilarious.
Generic in isekai can be good if done well. Hachi nan tte, sore wa nai deshou is one such example. 8/10.

Azur lane? More like Azur lame.
This series makes no sense.
Let me explain.
This series is supposed to be about aliens coming to conquer earth but instead we have the iron blood and Sakura empire at war with the Royal Navy and eagle union. So far I only see Sakura empire vs Royal Navy and eagle union. Iron blood is totally absent except for a few cameo. Alien evaders? What Alien evaders?
Ayanami should be branded a traitor. I mean she rather be with the enemy?
She rather not shoot at the enemy when they have no problem firing at her comrades? She enjoys her time as their
...
prisoner of war. She says her Sakura empire friends are important to her but she makes no attempt to escape. She is not missed, no wonder her friends at the Sakura empire does not even bother to attempt to rescue her.
Battles are pointless as no one gets injured or die.
The higher ups at the Sakura empire are shown to have all the awesome weapons but never ever participate in any battles?
The girls said it themselves that they are not human but battle ships so why are they seen eating and having meals? Throughout the series I was siding the sirens hoping they would destroy any one of the series’s characters.
Skip this series, go watch Kancolle instead.

I have a confession, I secretly enjoy the CGDCT genre. This review contains spoilers.
When I came to know of this series, I was expecting something decent, given that studio Doga Kobo’s previous production included Monthly Girl’s Nozaki Kun and Himouto Umaru Chan. I even would have accepted if this series was generic as frankly in my opinion, those who are into CGDCT expects a certain degree of genericity.
However, I can’t quite seems to define Koisuru Asteriod. Is it generic? Is it decent? Is it bad? let me explain.
There are other CGDCT series such as Yuru Camp which introduce viewers to camping. That was a great
...
series (one of my favourites actually) as it stuck to the theme of camping throughout.
Now let’s talk about Koisuru Asteriod. This series is about two childhood friends who join their high school’s astronomy club (albeit the club merging with the geology club). At first I was expecting a CGDCT series about astronomy as that is the title, however although there is introduction to astronomy, there are a few other different themes that were included. There is geology (I could accept as the plot dictates that they merge with the geology club), however there was also topography of maps, meteorology and bakery (what has bakery have in common with the rest?!!).
They should have stuck to solely astronomy or change the title to Koisuru Earth Science club.
The next thing that caught my attention is that this series feels like it has run out of story to tell but wanted to have a complete 12 episode season.
The reason I felt this way is that I would have been fine if they ended the series at episode 9 whereby it was decided that Ao would be staying with Mira’s family, add scenes of them discovering a new asteroid while at Mira’s house during the end credits. In a way, the series could come to a nice conclusion.
Instead, they decided to introduce new characters in episode 10 (new club members) and episode 11 and 12 (Shining Star contest).
There is no time for character building or allowing the viewers to get invested in the new characters, instead it feels like they included the shining Star contest arc as a means to have more cute girls introduced into the series.
I felt that instead of have the shining Star contest arc, they should have focus on further character building of the existing casts for the last three episodes to the series. They could also have done an event where the whole club can participate, I am not into astronomy but I can think of events like an eclipse perhaps or Metroid shower. However instead we got an arc whereby the two MC got to meet pointless new friends, ignoring the potential of further bonding with their fellow new club member.
My verdict is that astronomy is so boring that there is not much interesting material to use for in a 12 series episode, hence the use of the other themes.
If it would have ended at episode 9, I would have give it a 7/10.
For the whole 12 episode series, 4/10.
Yes, they made astronomy boring.

Do not be fooled by all the high scores reviews on here.
Let me explain, PET is a confusing mess that tries to pass off as a psychological triller.
After watching all 13 episodes, I am left puzzled. Here are the questions I had.
Who are the good guys, who are the bad guys?
The series just had characters show up without explaining who they are.
Characters such as Mei Ling are not explained what her power is.
One episode they may seem to be good, the next episode seem to be bad (Tsukasa and Katsuragi).
It’s confusing because we do not even know who the main character is/are. What is the
...
company? An evil organisation?Who is the CEO? Is being asked to join the company as an employee good or bad?
What is the whole plot of the show about?
The series did not provide the characters objective or give any purpose. They just pit a bunch of people who are supposed to have mind control or psychic powers against each other.
What are the meaning of the terms used?
Words such as “babies”,”lock”,”image”,”peak giver”, “door” and “valleys” were constantly used without a proper explanation as to what they mean.
Dialogues in Chinese were hard to understand, I am Chinese and I don’t understand what the characters were saying.
To summaries, after completing all 13 episodes, I still did not know what this series is about. The only redeeming thing about this horrible series is it’s op and ed which is by TK from Ling Tosite Sigure. 1/10

Granted it’s anime, but who came out with such a degenerate plot?
From swinging parents to teacher, student relationship to parents allowing teenage step siblings having relationship?
No joke, even the side characters are swapping love interest like it’s going out of style. Let me save you the trouble of having to go through 76 boring episodes by giving you the synopsis of every episode, the two mc will always have some sort of misunderstanding in every episode. I literally dosed off a couple of times for a couple of episodes because it’s so predictable.
This series is boring, mc is annoying and the plot is ridiculous at
...
times, example is side characters always appearing wherever the mc are, even when the mc are another location in Japan or America, mind you, these are teenagers who can just pick up and travel from Japan to America in a wimp.
Waste of time, go watch Hana yori dango which is much believable than this pile of garbage.
