The greatest contribution/inspiration for Sui Ishida that elevated Tokyo Ghoul to a level that no writer has ever reached in 1000s of years Kagune itself was based on Claymore's awakening; the best power system in Seinen that is based on science not fantasy magic. Transformation into Kakuja makes the user lose sanity just like how Awakening in Claymore makes them become closer to the Yoma. Besides that even the Protagonist, Kaneki and Claire both had to go through organ transplant to become who they were; and the Organ donor even appear in their conscience. And let's not forget how both Mangas have the best female cast in all of fiction; using Claymore and Tokyo Ghoul as standard discerning writing of female characters in any fiction can make every author look like Kishimoto.
