This is not a critical review of what the series actually looks like but simply a simple things to remember when you watch this series.
I've seen a lot of the biggest complaint of the series is the scummy MC and therefore I feel compelled to write this simple counter point-of-view in response.
Simply put : THE MC IS TRASH AND THAT'S THE POINT (PERIOD)
The stories never paint him in positive light, he's goddamn human garbage who literally watch porn when his parent, who took care of his NEET self for decades die. He doesn't even have basic human decency to even attend the funeral. He's

pervert, he's social recluse, flamer, creepy old man who masturbate to his childhood friend marrying stranger.
When you watch this series, do not forget that the MC is trash of a human being. Therefore watching this is not about "Feeling good", It's about following this trash human living a new live TRYING to be better
If you're looking for the second coming of Jesus or Isekai bland MC you can relate to you should not touch this because you're not supposed to even look up to him.
However another point to note : Character is this series strongest appeal.
if you're looking to see an adventure of a certain human trash slowly changing to be better through his MANY MANY mistake and uncertainty in a magical world then you're in the right place. I
f you're looking for a world with vibrant character so well developed to the point that it is hard to actually explaining them without writing long paragraph explaining each of them then you're in the right place.
If you want to see a world built in such organic way that you actually feels like you're living in there then you're in the right place.
