[THIS REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS- read at your own risk]
I watched this anime simply because I saw that it’s graded very low here and I had to see myself is it THAT bad for real. And I can assure you it is THAT bad for real. Very low quality animation and story is not that good either, it could however be even worse. Story is typical little sister secretly likes her big brother stuff, that follows likes of Oreimo, OniAi and Eromanga Sensei. Especially Eromanga sensei is very similar to this, and this is many ways like a very low quality version of it.
Story 3/10
...
Boy, Yuu Nagami, wants to become light novel author, but he is not a good writer. His little sister Suzuka however is, and she wins a competition with her work that is (of course) a story of little sister who loves her Onii-Chan more than anything in the world. And of course that is her own true story, but Yuu is too dense to understand that. Suzuka however wants that her brother takes all the fame because as a model student she is, no one can know that she writes light novels. And their father wouldn’t accept that etc. (btw their parents are never shown after that mention) So Yuu will be author Chikai Towano instead. Suzuka however wants to use the situation to make her brother fall for her. People like the novel a lot and soon other girls also become interested in now famous Towano-Sensei.
And for those who hate incest good news is that siblings don’t end up together after all. And for some reason that is okay with Suzuka while in the beginning she obviously is willing to go all the way with Onii-chan. Inconsistency maybe, but better than usual adoption cliché or actual incest ending…. IMHO…
Art 1/10 This is the greatest weakness. Show looks ugly. Animation is bad and static all the way but quality drops very much in episode 7 and end of episode 9 is also remarkably horrible. There is no consistency or coherence, different styles are mixed. Mostly it looks amateurish, eyes are often crossed, faces change shape and make hilarious derps a lot. It’s simply embarassing to watch. The ugliest anime I’ve seen and comparison to Hentai is insult to most Hentai that is decent art compared to this mess. Also episodes 3 and 8 have some scenes sideways! Am I supposed to watch this lying on a floor or what?
Sound 6/10 Music is not as bad as art, voice acting is decent but nothing especially amazing either. It doesn’t help much that it sounds okay when it looks bad and story is not that great.
Characters 2/10 Boring archetypes really. Protagonist guy, his imouto, somewhat tsundere rich girl, pervert artist girl, weird editor woman, voice actor that wants to become Yuu’s little sister to be ready for anime adaption of that amazing light novel and then some more artist girls who challenge them to a doujinshi-duel in that episode that is the worst looking of the bunch. There is also some older loli who works together with Yuu in book store but she is not seen much. Character designs are okay I guess, all things considered. Eyes look almost like shoujo at times, so much glaze and sheen. Some also have very weird hairstyles. Since art style is inconsistent most characters look just funny or ugly at times (or most of the time).
Character development is pretty minimal, in the end protagonist finds out that he loves little sisters (but not in THAT way after all) and for some reason that seems to be enough for Suzuka too…. oh well maybe better that way, I’m not a fan of real incest stories. Dialogue is mostly subpar, like this: ”Does seeing panties make you happy Onii-chan?”- ”Well… I don’t really hate it”
Enjoyment 6/10 It was sort of funny to see how much quality changed and after this most shows look so good :D Sort of guilty pleasure stuff, not good at all, but entertaining nevertheless…
Overall 2/10
Yeah it’s not a good show really. If you really like imoutos watch anything else, if you like romantic comedies watch anything else. If you want to see incoherent, poorly done animation with obvious production issues, then this one is definitely for you.

[THIS REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS- read at your own risk]
Kämpfer… oh boy… I had really low expectations to start with, but it still managed to be extremely underwhelming experience in the end.
Mostly because the last episode (12th) was just a weird filler… and the story (if you can even call it ”story”) had no conclusion at all. I fully expected that most of those questions every viewer has after the first episode will not be answered, but I didn’t expect that they add more questions in the last episodes and then left them unanswered as well, leaving nothing but feelings of bewilderment and frustration.
...
Story 2/10
Natsuru Sejou is a male high school student that suddenly gains ability to transform into a girl and become Kämpfer, female fighter, sort of magical girl. Information about his new powers is provided by creepy talking plush doll harakiri Tiger (which really looks like a sort of cutesy version of tiger that has performed seppuku). Tiger is one of the messengers of mysterious moderators who have selected Natsuru to be Kämpfer, and since Kämpfers for some reason need to be female(for reasons only moderators know) so does Natsuru change gender when his powers are activated. All Kämpfers have a messenger that is talking and moving creepy plush doll that depicts some dead animal with guts hanging from their stomach(even though they are each died in a different manner, some stabbed, some hanged, some burnt alive), sick humour but I kinda liked the absurdity of these plush dolls, the Entrails Animals as their franchise is called. What they have to do with Kämpfers though… only moderators know. They all have rather famour Seiyuus voicing them and they joke about that quite a lot. Anyways back to main Kämpfer, Natsuru has a blue ring in his/her wrist to symbolize that he is part of the blue Kämpfers who fight against the red Kämpfers, for reasons only moderators know. Natsuru has the power of magic or Zauber, other types of Kämpfers are Schwert(Sword) and Gewehr(firearms), and as everything related to kämpfers they are in German for reasons only moderators know…
Okay you are seeing a pattern here, Moderators know everything, but as you can probably guess nothing is ever answered. Despite that obvious senselessness premise is actually pretty good IMHO. I wholeheartedly expected that this show has a simple and stupid plot that doesn’t develop and is just an excuse to show cute girls fighting each other a lot with magical abilities. This expectation was totally wrong. Plot surely is stupid though, but they actually try to develop it during the last episodes and it only gets worse from there…. and fighting, this show is named Kämpfer yet there is very very little fighting. It’s almost non-existent. Most of the time protagonist doesn’t even fight back, yet in the end he/she is suddenly the best fighter for some reason.
Art 8/10
This is the main reason to watch this show, it looks good. Girls (including Natsuru) are cute and have a nice figure, animation is rather smooth and transformations are cool. Fights are rare but look pretty nice as well. There is a lot of fanservice and that’s mainly very good, especially yuri-scenes. If that’s your thing and you don’t care about fights, chaarcter development, romance or actual plot, there is this ”plot” pretty much.
Sound 7/10
Voice acting is overall very good. Entrails animals especially are well acted. Music is nothing especially memorable though, but works well enough. It looks good and sounds pretty good too.
Characters 4/10
This is the weak point. Especially Natsuru Senou, he/she is a very weak even for a protagonist character. Not in terms of fighting, but as being memorable or meaningful. This is usual problem in harem/ecchi comedies. Protagonist is extremely dense and stupid, usually pretty weak and pathetic too, but he still gets all the girls. This was sort of expected, but even for a harem protagonist Natsuru is one-dimensional. He(she) has no hobbies, no personality, no family and no interests besides the girl he is infatuated with: Sakura Kaede.
Sakura appears to be friendly and cute, school idol beauty. She is not interested at all in Natsuru when he is guy, but falls in love with female Natsuru. Later it’s revealed she is some sort of evil manipulator, not kämpfer, but she has something to do with moderators and she has a harem of girl lovers that are also white kämpfers that punish rebellious kämpfers or something. Her motivation is completely mystery to me however, she seems to be lesbian, apparently hates men, but wants Natsuru as female, still she manipulates male Natsuru to have sex with Shizuku, for some reason, even though that fails… later she wants that Natsuru kills his/her kämpfer friends…. I don’t get it at all what she wants. That entire Sakura-thing was such a stupid plot twist IMO. And despite all this Natsuru in the end has eyes only for Sakura…. how can someone be that dense…..
There are two characters I kinda cared about, Akane Mishima and Shizuku Sangou. Akane is shy meganekko with somewhat dirty imagination and she accidentally says ambiguous sexual things and gets flustered by her own words. When Akane turns into Kämpfer her personality changes (for reasons moderators would possibly know) as well as her looks, she has no more glasses and her hair turns from orange to bright red. She becomes aggressive and swears a lot when shooting with her pistol. She is Gewehr-type Kämpfer in blue team like Natsuru. Shizuku is beautiful and smart student council president, but appears to be rather cold, calculating and bossy. Shizuku is in red team but refuses to fight and is interested in what moderators are up to. Her appearance changes only little with her hair shining a bit, she is Schwert-type kämpfer.
Third (or fourth if you count Natsuru as girl)Kämpfer girl is Natsuru’s tomboyish childhood friend Mikoto Kondou, who has travelled a lot and loves to make curry to Natsuru. She was sort of irritating to be honest. She is typical overly energetic character and of course in love with Natsuru as well. Her appearance changes, but her personality remains almost same when she turns into Schwert-type kämpfer. When show starts she travels around the world and sends postcards to Natsuru, that was kind of fun recurring theme, but when she returns home and becomes kämpfer she is often just plain irritating extra character that show didn’t even really need IMO. She has some… interesting moments with Akane though….
Then there is harem of evil lesbians, white kämpfers, who seem to be all sort of archetypes, loli, sadist, tsundere etc. but these baddies are poor fighters so they don’t serve any purpose really…. they just are there with Sakura-sama. Useless characters without any purpose really.
Male Natsuru has some male friend who likes to take photos of hotties (including female Natsuru) but that’s pretty much it what comes to human characters. Then there are Entrails animals, Harakiri Tiger, Black Seppuku Bunny, Electrocuted Wildcat, Strangled Stray Dog and Burnt alive Lion, who are messengers of Kämpfers for some reason. They do all sort of weird things, talk, eat and drink and move but are still not really alive apparently…. They are crazy concept but kind of fun self-assertive craziness. In episode 12, which is Christmas special they steal kämpfer’s bodies turning them into Kemonomimi girls and go to have fun in the town while kämpfers are trapped in their plush doll bodies.
Enjoyment 5/10
First episodes were enjoyable but ”ending” was so bad it kinda ruined the mood. Episode 12 was a fine filler on it’s own and made no sense at all, but for all those who didn’t understand that episode 11 is the end of it, ep 12 came as unexpected surprise that feels like cruel joke to all those who expected some sort of conclusion or explanation what the hell actually happened in the entire show. Only moderators know and yes we never get to meet them, I guess…. unless Sakura is moderator which I think she is not, but since nothing is never explained I don’t know…. and I don’t care.
Overall 5/10
Idea was nice and non-sensical, but there were too little fighting and no character-development at all. It was all fan-service and ecchi comedy. Still there was very little comedy about the gender swapping in the end. Despite awesome opportunity with actually physically gender swapping protagonist, they pretty much fail to use his/her ability to do any actually funny scenes with it.

Pantsu! This is what this anime was about. It was a slice of life harem/comedy/ecchi without an actual over-arching plot. All episodes had 3 sketches mostly focused on things like misunderstandings, accidents etc. in which boobs and (especially) panties were well represented as in any ecchi show. It was mostly alright entertainment, nothing too serious, at times bit too generic and hence predictable.
Characters were pretty stereotypic. Main character Aito Yuuki is perverted mangaka who is especially interested in panties. He has several female assistants and female editor with whom he used to be classmates with. Most of the time Aito says and does stupid things
...
that makes those girls angry. Yet he is trying to be kind and decent fellow, he just can’t help himself. He often apologizes and begs for forgiveness. In the end all those girls actually like him, most in very tsundere way though, cheerful, although bit airheaded Rinna being an exception, she openly adores her ”sensei”.
Aito is very dramatic and obsessed, so mainly the comedy was about his mad fetish for undergarments. I think nothing especially rememberable happens in this show. Some situations are pretty weird, and potentially funny, but I have seen so much ecchi comedies that I cannot say this would’ve been especially fun or creative in that regard.
Story: 3 Poor
Not story to speak off, as usual in comedies romantic developments doesn’t happen and there is no over-arching plot really.
Art: 7 Good
This looked nice to me, no complaints. Nothing special though. Generic but good style.
Sound: 5 Mediocre
Seiyuus were good, there was lot of screaming and stuff and voice acting often sounded funny, even though nothing especially funny was happening. OP was good but ED was very long, bit boring and it’s style didn’t suit to this anime at all. It was too soft, emotional and slow compared to this anime. I had to skip it almost always. That’s why only Mediocre.
Character: 6 Fair
Stereotypes, tsunderes, sadists, perverts. Yeah not very unique characters.
Enjoyment: 6 Fair
It was okay, offered some laughs
Overall: 5 Mediocre
Not a bad show, but it had nothing especially good to make it stand out from the rest. If you love panties this anime might be for you though. I don’t personally adore them that much to be honest, so overall is only 5 this time.

Visual novel that was turned into harem anime… with a rather large budget even. Interesting case for sure. But not really in a good way. It was very entertaining to watch though for all the wrong reasons mostly. It was often so stupid. Like really really stupid. Story was predictable and plotholes were so huge that they make all those boobs look small.
Main plot tells story of Arima Teppei, guy who likes motorcycles and swordfighting. His parents are killed and the he becomes the vengeance, the night, the Batma…wait that’s not how it went! There is Alfred the butler though and a lot of
...
other things that are so much like the life of Bruce Wayne if he would be the main character of harem anime of course.
So parents are killed and the the rich grandfather takes Arima to live with him and he is going to be future owner of his grandfather’s large company. On the way he saves the nice pair of boo… cough… I meant the princess Charlotte Hazelrink from a group of random bad guys who hate rich people. Later he meets more girls to fill his harem and eventually bad guys return, turning this school comedy to attempt of action genre... or maybe attempt is too kind word for that mess.
Story: 1 Pathetic
Story is honestly absolute crap and attempt to go into some sort of action genre was honestly laughable. It must work better in the game, but bad guys, terrorists and secret nuclear facilities in ecchi-anime right after the cliché episode with hot springs? Haha it was so absurd turn it sure made me laugh a lot though. When action starts main character has a character shield so strong that he doesn’t need to fear any guns. Bad guys also make stormtroopers in Star Wars to look like sharpshooters.
Sure fanservice was expected, but many times it ruined even the most serious attempts to tell a serious story. Even during supposedly serious conversations there were pantyshots. Fan-service was overall good though, so if it’s the boobs and panties you want- this may be the anime for you. If you want action or story that makes sense you are in wrong place- excitement is zero and stuff happens, but most of it makes no sense or is so unbelievable stupid you can only laugh.
Art: 5 Mediocre
This anime would have looked pretty good really, if the art would be consistent, but quality goes up and down. Faces, even boobs are often drawn wrong and animation looks weird at times. Some of animation is pretty creative like uncommon angles (not always just for panties), but inconsistencies in style are too big to go unnoticed.
Sound: 6 Fair
Not much to say. Most characters are rather stereotypic and speak with stereotypic voices. VA:s are actually very good in this one. Music is allright, especially OP almost sang along few times. Ending has boobs shown so I don’t remember the music :P nuff said….
Character: 4 Decent
Teppei Arima, lucky guy for sure, has his own harem, own company and he can walk into a crossfire without getting hit, because reasons… As character he is rather generic boring protagonist, that has these superhero-like tendencies without it being cool. He also eventually shares his blatant life philosophy ”humans are humans, there are good people and bad people”- that’s… deep.
Charlotte Hazelrink, Princess of Hazelrink, fictitious country in the Europe (yet she pronounces her own name in the most japanese manner possible Charurotte Hazurorinku which sounds very funny). She is damsel in distress with huge…. abilities to get captured. Old fashioned heroine that constantly needs Arima’s help. She is cute though, but her uselessness is unbelievable most of the time.
Sylvia Van Hossen, Imagine the Saber from Fate Stay Night, change eyes to blue and it’s her in another anime, such a rip-off design. She is honestly boring as character, but not useless. She is OP swordsman who helps Arima, she is also his fiancée.
Seika Houjouin, Tsundere because… that was needed I guess…. she is fashion designer and leader of the rival company to Arima’s group and leader of the social club in school Teppei is transferred.
Yuu Fujikura, That's the maid. Almost forgot there was one.
Isshin Arima, owner of the wealthy Arima corporation and Teppei’s grandfather. Rich but wise old man, not much to say about him.
Because bad guys are needed in harem animes, there is also that one evil fellow. He is just bad… and rather stupid bad guy to be honest, with a very poor backstory as well.
Then there are all sort of side characters from hyperactive guy from the class to Seika’s girl posse and two funny terrorists.
Enjoyment: 7 Good
It’s trash, but trash is fun to watch at times. Fan-service and absurdly bad plot developments kept me entertained.
Overall: 5 Mediocre
Story was too bad for a serious anime, yet too complicated for harem ecchi show. Absurd is the best word for the story I think. It goes way too far and does it so poorly you just cannot believe it. Fan service was top-notch in this one though, but art was often inconsistent.

If she looks like an imouto, sounds like an imouto and acts like an imouto, then she probably is an imouto.
Kono Naka ni Hitori, Imouto ga Iru! also known as NakaImo or My Sister Is Among Them! So it is supposed to be mystery anime in which main character, Shougo Mikadono, is looking for his future wife, but among those girls there is also his mystery sister. OMG what a twist!
This guy doesn’t think incest is wincest, so he wants to find out who is imouto and avoid choosing her accidentally (imouto for some twisted reasons wants to be chosen though… she is
...
one of those incest-imoutos like Kirino Kousaka from Oreimo or Akiko Himenokoji from OniAi, if that's your thing this anime is must-see I guess).
There may be some spoilers ahead. But I think I don’t even need to tell you who is imouto to ruin the mystery, show ruins it without me.
At first this concept sounded pretty stupid to be honest, but also kinda promising comedy-wise so I decided to watch. I like harem, comedy and ecchi combination and mystery sounded refreshing addition, how that would even work?
Well… it didn’t work.
Mystery was just not very good. Honestly I guessed it right before watching any episodes, judging by the character designs alone I had a hunch who is imouto and it turned out to be right very soon with all those little but obvious hints and even more obvious red herrings… That was very disappointing, I was almost expecting to be proved wrong because that would’ve made mystery good, or actually I wanted to be proven wrong. But it was just as predictable as I feared. Predictability is of course a curse in mystery genre and this anime suffers from it a lot.
And yes I also predicted that after the mystery Imouto is revealed (the end of this anime) eventually it turns out they are not siblings after all (in light novels) - that guess was right too it seems. Sighs… Plot twists in light novels are honestly just ridiculous and confusing to be honest, but not surprising in a good way. Good mystery is surprising, but simple. This was anything but…
I only talk about anime from now on, so imouto remains imouto for me, I am not planning to read light novels and honestly seems that anime is at least better than them… It doesn’t mean much though.
Story: 3 Good ideas here and there, but mostly gone totally wrong. Everything goes as you expect or then your expectations were too high. Seeing those hints or identifying red herrings doesn’t make you feel smart but makes you wonder if you are expected to be stupid. Fortunately show seems to realize this at times and don’t dumb down the most obvious. But it still doesn’t save the mystery from being predictable which makes it boring and frustrating to watch.
Art: 6 Mediocre. Nothing special, not ugly, but pretty simple and rather generic character designs. Very light colors, which is a pretty interesting stylistic choice. There is nudity which means some bare oppai here and there. You’ll be warned.
Sound: 6 Nothing especially stands out, for better or for worse. VAs do their job, OP and ED are there but I don’t remember them anymore... that tells something.
Characters 4: There is this usual harem-cast, one guy and his girls. I personally liked Shougo, he is generic and has not much character, but he is not a complete loser. He is actually somewhat capable, not just kind. He can dance, reason and control his sexual impulses pretty well even in those lucky pervert situations he finds himself in all the time. And he is also rich, future president of his father’s company and sort of guy that girls would actually be interested in (for monetary reasons alone). Problem in many harem animes is that the main character is very useless in all ways, yet all the girls fall for him just because he is after all a nice guy. Shougo is a rich guy who is also nice. Yet he is boring as main characters usually are, there is nothing especially personal in him, and he doesn’t develop much. There is also this cliché that he has lost his memory and these ”new girls” are actually his childhood friends who have (of course) always loved him. Yes they have that cliché too. Girls are also pretty unoriginal. Tsundere, airhead, another tsundere who is elitist, cosplaying genius, reverse-trap modern day ninja and girl that is practically just boobs. Honestly that is how I would describe Konoe Tsuruma, she likes cream puffs alright, but other than that her character traits are just... her cream puffs (more ways than one). Okay she is also revealed to be homophobe, not a redeeming quality. Another homophobe is the tsundere Miyabi Kannagi. She actually says that the incest is better option than homosexuality!?.... Like what is wrong with this anime?! I understand that many in Japan are rather conservative, but I haven’t seen such a homophobic anime before that says incest is better option…. It’s just those jealous characters in that one episode but still… very weird and frustrating.
Cosplaying genius Mei Sagara and elitist-tsundere Rinka Kunitachi are a bit more promising characters, but development is minimal and all girls have pretty much same arcs, they are all suspected to be sisters for some reason, they fall in love with MC and join his harem after misunderstandings are cleared up. Airhead class president Mana Tendou joins the harem just because all others do and has no arc of her own.
Mizutani Ikusu or Mister X, and of course she is really a girl that surprises no one after you see and hear the character and Mister X is also the cause of previously mentioned unneeded burst of homophobia. She is some sort of joke character and as spy, or sort of ninja, she tries to uncover the identity of the sister along with main character, she also hangs around naked for ninja-related reasons (just fan-service) and despite her cross-dressing and obvious lack of sexual education she is probably the best option of all those girls.
Enjoyment 5: I’m easy to please, yet this mystery was so lacking. Comedy was at times poor as well and overall predictability made this anime mainly boring. It had some ok jokes though but not much, not enough to make it enjoyable. I was expecting a surprising twist.... it never came.
Overall 4: Predictable attempt of ”mystery”, ecchi was mostly just mediocre at best, characters were cute but rather shallow and had no development. There were boobs though.... so I give decent I guess. I've seen worse :D

So a second season of Aqours girls, I don't think it was that good. It had potential to be better, I liked the first season of Aqours, but I think I'm through with Love Live anime now. I had trouble finishing this season because it was so cringy and cheesy. At times I wanted to choke Chika because she was so irritating. Her constant babbling about mysterious shine of school idols was just bullsh*t to be honest. You love school idols, I get it, you want to shine like them "kira kira blah blah blah". Why that stuff was almost in every episode, I've had
...
enough. Things like this and absurd overdone symbolic scenes like Flying van were so cringe-worthy, yes it's shiny, it's a joke and friendship is magic I get it. Ok that last one was from different franchise... my mistake.
Sure Love Live has always been about cute girls doing cute things with unnecessary drama. Maybe it was just that my personal quota of shiny school idols was filled and there was nothing wrong with this season of Love Live. But I think that style was also changed a bit. It was too damn serious at times, somehow slow and boring and jokes were not that great either. Stories were boring but overly dramatic making them extremely cheesy and awkward. Many times they also lacked common sense making plot holes shine brighter than school idols.
Sure there were good things as well. Loved the episode with the dog, sure it was a filler but it actually developed relationship of Yoshiko and Riko, or Yohane and Riri. Saint Snow episodes also developed Ruby a bit and I like her a bit more now, same with Saint Snow that actually developed far more than Aqours did during the entirety of two seasons. I didn't care about them in the first season but now they were more interesting than the main idol group for me. Something actually happened for them and they got over it.
Dia, my favorite, was also developed a bit, but in direction that I didn't like that much, she is now some sort of meme factory like Mari or Yoshiko/Yohane- Bzzzt- that's not the way to go.
I honestly didn't like this "bzzzt"- thing, it was not needed, it reduced Dia to one meme-character. She was actually a good character, responsible, proud and bit of a perfectionist type, loving but strict big sister, president of student council, traditional but little too uptight. Sure she was a sort of the joke in the first season too, her secret love for school idols was not the thing in the game etc., but this "Bzzzt"- thing feels like she was replaced with a meme button this season.
Aqours had so much potential, but I feel like this season failed to use it to make characters more interesting. I play Love Live SIF game and I feel like most characters are much better in the game- they are deeper and more interesting than their anime versions that tells a lot since they mainly just say same things when you tap them. And you still learn to love them more.
Story 5: Very poor continuation for Aqours. Spoiler: they win Love Live.... which happens offscreen (because they think you are more interested in Chika's thoughts obviously, too bad they are boring) Spoiler 2: Their school is still not going to be saved. This was actually a good thing, it would've been useless repetition of the same plot if the school would've been saved by school idols again. But the way this plot point is done is not really good. Resolution takes so long and all that angst for the loss of Uranohoshi school is taken so far I don't care anymore. Yeah it's sad. Let's mourn it a few episodes more it's not boring at all. Bzzzt wrong answer it IS boring.
Art 8: This anime sure looks good, visuals for the songs and all, that is not an issue.
Sound 8: This is not an issue either. Songs and voice acting are strong points. Some VA:s in Aqours are very talented. I especially want to praise Aika Kobayashi, for her voice work as Yoshiko and Yohane. She has these two different voices and she uses them so well. No problems with singing or acting, not complaining about that. This is still good and some songs are my favorites like My Mai Tonight.
Characters 5 : Aqours cast is perhaps even better than Muse in some ways, but this season didn't use it well. We mostly focus on Chika (sighs), a bit on Kurosawa sisters, some Riko and some Yoshiko. Mari does some things as well as Kanan but I don't remember anything special about them- they just are there. Same with Hanamaru, she is there and her home at the temple is shown, but I don't remember any focus being on her. I think that most seriously neglected character is You who is on the background but completely forgotten. Her jealousy of Chika and Riko was the source of drama in the first season but now that is dropped and instead there is useless drama between Chika and school, Chika and School idols, Chika and shining, Chika and mikan oranges. Yuri-baiting has been the best things in this show to be honest so this lack of it this season is very disappointing. We have that one dog episode that makes Yohariko (or Yohariri?) partially canon though. I am not expecting official material to go far with yuri-aspect in show like this, it is left for fans to speculate and find their own shippings (if that is your thing), but I feel like this season was especially boring for those expecting even some girly bonding as there was a lot of that during the first season.
We get to see some (pure) sisterly love with Ruby and Leah/Ria of Saint Snow wanting to show to their big sisters that they manage alone as well. That was actually quite touching and those episodes along with the Yohariri dog-episode were only ones that were somewhat entertaining for me.
Character development is minimal and mostly non-existent. Chika has to accept that school is going to be closed and that is so very very hard- so hard that she seriously expects people to enlist to their school in the middle of the night minutes before deadline. Hope is good thing to have for sure, but seriously that is pathetic lack of rationality even from this human-shaped mikan orange. Similar plot-holes are numerous this season. Like the episode in which they have to use mikan orange picking monorail (yay- mikan oranges- that is what Chika-chan has instead of personality or brain) to get in to their live show. And we have seen Chika's family has a van and yet no one even considers the possibility of using it.... no we have use unconventional method of transportation because mikan oranges in everyone's mouth make better memes.
Enjoyment 3: This anime was agony to watch at times. Constant face palms made my face (and palms) hurt.
Overall 5: Mediocre continuation for pretty promising first season. Mikan oranges were bitter and all that Chika's constant shining was so radioactive I fear I got the cancer. Not even Yohane could save me from this School Idol Hell.

It's like Ladies versus Butlers but this time lady is the butler!
Ok so main characters are Kinjiro Sakamachi, guy who has extreme gynophobia, or fear of women and cross-dressing girl Subaru Konoe who wants to be a butler like her father so she has to hide her gender. Kinjiro accidentally learns Subaru's secret and is forced by her master Kanade Suzutsuki to keep it secret from the rest of the school. Suzutsuki has sadistic tendencies but she is also interested in curing Kinjiro's gynophobia that causes nosebleed and fainting if he even touches a girl so she is not all-bad despite her sadism,
...
she also deeply cares for her butler Subaru.
Story 7: Kinjiro and Subaru become friends and develop romantic feelings for each other that everyone can see, but all sorts of other girls also appear to Kinjiro's life (this is harem after all) and of course cause him a lot of nosebleed. Funny thing is that since no one knows that Subaru is girl (which is actually obvious) everyone thinks her and Kinjiro as gay lovers. Subaru-sama is very loved among girls of the school and she(or he) as not one but two fan clubs, another one dresses like Ku Klux Klan- probably reference to similar joke in Baka to Test. It is pretty obvious that only Subaru has chances with Kinjiro so harem feels pretty pointless and I think this story would have been better as romantic comedy. Moments with other girls mainly feel like pointless fanservice. There is a lot of ecchi and at times it follows completely crazy anime logic. Like when in the first episode Kinjiro accidentally fells on top of Subaru and all her buttons come undone in a blink of an eye to reveal her breasts.... that's ridiculous even in ecchi anime. Kinjiros relationship with Subaru actually develops in a nice manner though. Huge problem is the final episode of the season that ruins the development by making a side character Nakuru Narumi (Fujoshi girl who supports KinjiroxSubaru romance) part of his harem. This was extremely bad way to end the show since it ruins the feeling of development Kinjiro reached with Subaru in the second last episode and all those episodes prior that.
So if you are not that interested in Nakuru's character or harem aspect I recommend you skip the last episode!
Art 6: Nothing very bad, pretty good looking anime. Character designs are rather generic and I personally was bothered by the fact that they didn't even try to make Subaru to look like a boy when she is cross-dressing. She has long hair and cute ribbons and stuff while she is supposedly looking like a boy. If they wanted long hair but boyish look I think long simple ponytail would have been better option. Now she looks more like a very girly boy - a trap who is surprisingly really a girly girl and no trap.... or some kind of fake-trap....double trap- or Trap-trap... Admiral Ackbar would be proud.
Sound 6: Nothing too special. Opening and ending songs were ok. Voice acting was pretty good. Subaru especially sounds a lot like a boy while she doesn't look like it. That saves part of believability of this cross-dressing plot. At times she sounds like girl as well when she is not acting like a butler. This was well done. Other VA:s are ok.
Character 6: Main character is mainly a generic nice guy, but extreme gynophobia makes him a bit unique. He has an actual reason to be afraid of lucky pervert moments. Thanks to her violent wrestler sister he can also take a lot of physical damage. His name has a pun of chicken, but he is definitely not the worst coward in anime history. Subaru is a bit of a tsundere at first, but she becomes sweet towards Kinjiro pretty fast. She haven't had any friends before so she is very happy to befriend with Kinjiro and quickly realizes she wants even more. Overall I did find her rather likable character, she has clear motivations, she acts in a way that is surprisingly realistic for anime character and develops feelings for Kinjiro in rather natural way. Other characters include Subaru's master Kanade, sadistic rich girl who was bit frustrating at times and Kinjiro's little sister Kureha who "tests" wrestling moves to her brother daily, being the main cause of his gynophobia. She still loves his brother deeply in non-incest kind of way and is attracted to Subaru whom she thinks is a boy like everyone else. Because this is harem there are also other "options" for Kinjiro like Masamune Usami, textbook tsundere and character I don't think this show really needed, same with Nakuru Narumi, big busted and cat-eared fujoshi girl. Nakuru is alright as side character, kinda fun, but her attraction to Kinjirou felt forced to me and addition to harem in the last episode felt wrong to me. I really liked the joke about Masamune's apartment being haunted. Ghosts were just chilling out there and she paid no attention to them, that was so unexpected visual gag that it was kinda clever.
Enjoyment 7: It was alright show, ecchi and humour, cute and funny stuff. Enjoyable.
Overall 6: Main idea was nice, Kinjirou and Subaru were a good couple that developed nicely, ecchi was not bad, but at times it was too unbelievable. Harem-aspect was the biggest weakness of this show, there were not much actual competition between the girls, Subaru was the only real option for Kinjirou, so would've been better without this forced harem-aspect. Sure most girls didn't know Subaru is a girl too but that would only make Jiro look gay and any attempts by girls hopeless. Especially that last episode made failure of this as harem comedy clear and I recommend that if you like JiroXSubaru more than forced attempt of harem leave that one out.

Yay it's a sex comedy.... but without the sex and the comedy was bad. This is unfortunately very poor attempt to make an ecchi harem comedy based on dirty jokes. Jokes are very dirty yes, but they are hardly funny. Many of these jokes are predictable, awkward or just boring. At first I was not sure why they felt so bad. I usually love sexually themed humour. Then I came to a conclusion that timing and voice acting were ruining most of the actually pretty delicious jokes. They were too predictable, lasted too long and they were often taken too far. In the end
...
they were no more jokes and it feels like some weird pervy stuff just happens for no reason. Many things that definitely shouldn't be said out loud is said out loud but it doesn't feel funny, just weird. Most puns are impossible to understand in English and most are probably not that good in Japanese either.
Story 3: Poor love story overall. No real character development. Main character Haruka Shinozaki is boring as hell. He has no redeeming qualities really, he is "normal" guy and he likes the main girl Akiho Kosaka because she is pretty and seems smart and responsible. But when they start dating it turns out Kosaka wants to know everything about sex and be a perfect girlfriend, respectable goal I think but it seems to be an obsession. So what is supposed to be funny is this Kosaka's obsession of sex. But obsessions are not necessarily funny. It's like watching an alcoholic who drinks, it's more sad than funny. Most jokes are about Kosaka studying sexual things and talking all sorts of pervy stuff and Shinozaki trying to act normal. That is supposed to be funny. For me it was not.
Art 3: Rather ugly art style IMHO. Animation was at times very poor quality and it was obviously low-budget. Nothing to write home about.
Sound 3: Voice acting was at times amateurish IMHO, I think that better acting could've also saved some of the jokes. Maybe....Acting was mostly not that bad as writing or art was, but overall it was very generic. Music was very poor. Opening song was one of the worst I've ever heard. Very forgettable ending song as well.
Character 4: Main guy Haruka Shinozaki is boring, he has no personality to talk about. Akiho Kosaka is obsessed about sex and is also pretty boring otherwise. There are attempts of cute scenes between them, but they feel mostly awkward attempts of romance that don't work. There are all sorts of pretty stereotypical side characters like clinging little sister, clinging Onee-chan from neigbour, clinging rich girl who knows nothing of men, clinging gay guy.... all these characters seem to be clinging to Shinozaki because he is so nice. This seems to mean that despite all those unscrupulous intimacies of those characters he stays as their friend. My favorite was probably the gay guy... surprisingly there is no fujoshi-character to enjoy about his interactions with Haruka (who has broken gaydar of course) which was actually quite refreshing, instead these near-BL moments made Akiho jealous. This in turn made supposedly funny scenes surprisingly serious which didn't really work that well.
Enjoyment 6:
I laughed like 5 or 6 times total when watching this 10 episodes long show, and some of those laughs were caused simply by bewilderment. I was so surprised how bad this show was at times that it made me laugh. So I guess that can be counted as enjoyment...
Overall 4: Very forgettable attempt of ecchi/ sexual comedy, lots of missed opportunities to make it funny. Some ideas were actually nice, but in the end achievement was probably one of the worst ecchi shows ever.
