Both mangas are dramas about learning to heal you from the struggles that you have, and how the characters use the music to learn to pass through a tough time. The cast of both mangas gonna face some personal struggles that gonna be part of the develop of them. They also have to learn how to teamwork to reach their dreams.

Even when one of the main focus is the music, both shows take their time to explore the characters, in a dramatic way the animes give them a development that its pleasent to see, in the music aspect both "main groups" have to learn to work together to have success in their respective goals.

Both shows are similar in the way they not only focus on the main part (art in Blue Period and idols on Idolish7), but also they explore the characters emotions, backgrounds, moivations, mental struggles and other stuff, i think a lot of people can find comfort in both animes who can teach you a little about how you have to live your life to be a little more happy with it :)

Both are idol animes about the main group finding the stardom while they have a little dosis of drama, however i have to clarify that even when Idolish7 is mostly "female oriented", i think it's a pretty enjoyable show because is genuinely good and funny, i don't find it cringe as well so i think everyone who likes love live can like idolish7 too

The cast in both are mostly male adults, who starts to understand and learn about each other, at least that's why it looks like since Ryman's is really new, so time will tell, but at this point i can asure that everyone who likes one of the shows can enjoy the other Also the dynamics have a similar vibe

Both have a lot of charming and colorful characters (almost literally lol) In both series the characters wanna be the best at their respective field, there's humor in the show but there are emotional moments too. The characters and groups grows and is very enjoyable
