The plot isn't entirely original but still pretty good and interesting. I do have a problem with the main character Denji. He has very little character development and time and time over again keeps simping over women who try to use and kill him. You would think after so many women tried to murder him that he would be more cautious and wary, but nope- touching boobas and simping is more important. He does work as a decent MC and there were times where I did like him and he did make me laugh, but overall he lacks any sort of development.
Makima on the other
...
hand, was a confusing character for me. Her fate in the end still didn't make sense and her being reincarnated honestly just made me think that the author made another her since she ended up being so popular. Another problem I had was the fact that the Dun devil was hyped up to be this extremely strong and dangerous devil, yet the defeat of the gun devil was so anti-climatic and boring. I didn't even know the gun devil possessed Aki until the end where someone mentioned it and I was like "Oh, that's it? No big battle with the gun devil?".
Overall, I'd give it a 7 since I still did enjoy the show. Wonder how the anime is going to portray the manga and I'm definitely going to watch it once it comes out.

I'm going to get flamed for this but the only reason I gave this a 7 was because of the plot and because of Levi. The plot is pretty good, the idea of titans and humans is an interesting concept but unfortunately this show suffers from the same disease that many shows have. Horrible, trashy MC.
Gosh, where do I start with Eren Yeager. Its become a meme at this point where I shit on him. He's impulsive, loud, stupid and your typical "act before thinking" MC. His only personality is that he hates titans but lo-and-behold, he can turn into one!! How original! He's literally
...
a Kaneki Ken 2.0 and later goes through an emo phase too. Mikasa also has no character development, her only personality is that she loves Eren and her over-powered skills were never explained too, like she was born with it. Armin is your stereotypical brains over brains and yet for some reason, has abs too tf.
The plot kind of felt rushed, abeit interesting too. Also, what are the coincidences that all the titan-shifters happened to be in the same unit? Because if that's all coincidental and holy shit. You're telling me, five titan shifters (Eren, Reiner, Bertholt, Annie, Ymir) and a future queen are coincidentally in the same unit is some next-level coincidence. Levi and Hange carried the show for me.
Art was mediocre and wasn't really my cup of tea. Opening song was a banger though, can't lie about that.

When I first read True beauty, I really enjoyed the story and plot. It was off to a great start and the main character, Jugyeong, felt kind of relatable. I thought the story was going to end with her loving herself and not wearing makeup anymore. I was so wrong.
While there was a plot in the beginning of the story, there isn't one now. It feels like the story is going in circles and that the author is just stretching things out to keep milking money from this manhwa. It becomes kind of cliche later on and Jugyeong becomes more and more dislikable. The story
...
just feels like a self-character insert, a fanfic of the author and a hot guy. Also the webtoon just kind of gives off the message that you have to wear make up to be pretty like Jugyeong, rather than the opposite.
First of all, Jugyeong has no character development. Not once do we see her begin to love herself and wear less makeup, in fact, she's trying to get into a career that requires her to wear more makeup and help other people hide their insecurities through makeup. Suho knows how she looks like underneath but she still wears makeup in front of him. Later when Suho moves away, she ends up dating the second male lead although she very obviously has feelings for Suho still.
The plot is so predictable. She's dating the second male lead but is going to break up with him because she and Suho are endgame. Honestly, I felt really bad for Seojun since he actually had a good personality and cared about Jugyeong, but spoilers, Jugyeong breaks up with him because she can't stand him being around other prettier girls because of her insecurities. All Jugeyon does is cry, whine, and drink, she breaks up with Seojun over her own insecurities, which is so unfair for Seojun since he can't control it.
Later Suho comes back and its obvious the two have feelings for each other even though Jugyeong literally forgot about him and dated Seojun. Both male leads deserved better.
The art is decent I guess. The only problem I had was that the faces looked oddly realistic while the bodies were cartoon-like. Nonetheless, the art style wasn't really my taste and sometimes I couldn't even tell female character alike. They all wore makeup and looked similar. The faces kind of felt off at times as well, and all the characters have the same body type.
Overall, my enjoyment was poor and I dropped the manhwa a while ago. I've skimmed through the latest episodes and it looks like nothing has changed much. Honestly disappointed because this had so much potential as an inspiring story, but it just ended up being Jugyeong's harem.

This show was recommended by my sister but I had always put off watching it since it didn't really suit my tastes. Glad I watched it because now it is one of my favourite shows. The whole idea of humanity being petrified into stone at first didn't spark an interest into me because while I liked interesting plots, I also didn't like it if the plot was too complicated in messy. However, the plot of Dr. Stone was easy to comprehend and also unique and attracting. The whole concept of anime combined with science was enjoyable to me, someone who knew nothing about science.
I think
...
Senku is a great main character. Normally I don't like main characters but Senku definitely is one of my few favourites. I like how is isn't a typical oblivious MC to girls who have a crush on him, many main characters have many females chasing them yet are completely oblivious. Senku is able to recognize that people may have feelings for him and turn them down without leading them on, something most MCs can't do. His skills are balanced as well, he is smart but lacks physical strength, unlike some overpowered characters in other anime. Other characters are enjoyable too, Gen Asagiri is probably my favourite character and the way he uses his magic tricks are ingenious.
The only problem I did have was how they portrayed Tsukasa as the antagonist. The reason for his antagonism is understandable but the show didn't pull it off that well, and he became a forgettable villain, but still a rememberable ally. He really wasn't that much of an antagonist, more like an obstacle and was defeated pretty easily.
The art is also great, some scenes were great in detail and Boichi-san pulled off the suspenseful scenes really well. His art style really suited the theme of the show and the shading in the anime and manga was impeccable. Also the funny faces he drew as well.
Overall, the show is really interesting thus far and I definitely recommend it to people who don't like science as well. The characters are quite likeable, and although the first antagonist isn't that great and the first arc is kind of anti-climatic, the story later gets more suspenseful and interesting as shown in the second season and manga.

When I first saw this manhwa I thought it was going to be a typical isekai, reborn as the villainess and must kill the b^tchy female lead kind of story. I was completely wrong. Medea is a girl boss and I love her relationship with Psyche, the other female lead. The story isn't cliche and both girls don't hate each other, which I love the sense of sisterhood they have. They both work together to destroy the evil men in their lives (Medea's father, Crown Prince Eros) and slowly start to overcome their insecurities and become stronger.
The character development is amazing in this story, especially
...
Psyche's. She starts off as a naive, innocent, spoilt princess but develops into a badass, headstrong and down-to-earth lady while still remaining kind and gentle. We also see Medea start to oppose her father and make her own decisions rather than obeying her father. The female leads are amazing but I also hope the males in the story get more character development, especially Helio, who is my favourite character.
There were also many plot twists in the story, to which I won't spoil any, but most were enjoyable and brought more suspense and drama into the plot. I love the relationship between Medea and Psyche, and Medea and Perion, its really unique to see two girls who aren't fighting over a guy who doesn't love them and a woman being seen as an equal to a man. The art was mesmerizing and the detail in the character's jewelry and dresses are fantastic, you can really see how wealthy some of the characters are. I often find myself going back to look at a picture because it was really well drawn.
Overall, I'll give it a 8 but the manhwa is not finished so this won't be my final rating. Definitely recommend.

If I were my 12 year old self, I would've given his a 9, but rewatching this many years later, I realized this show is your below average magical girl anime. To start, the idea with the eggs being little charas of people you wish you were was unique and interesting, but the characters and plot kind of ruin it all.
First of all, the main character Amu has no character development and your run-of-the-mill overpowered, Mary Sue (This pink hair doesn't help). The fact that she has so many charas and even has a final transformation with all her charas really shows the bias towards
...
her in the show- she has no rivals, no one can even compete with her. You can't even say her only flaws are her insecurities, because everyone has Insecurities and I don't really count it as a flaw since insecurities can go away, while flaws are usually a part of someones personality, or takes time to overcome.
Secondly, her relationship with Ikuto is really borderline p>dophillia and it really turned me away from the whole show. Plot itself was really predictable as well, we all know Amu was going to get together with Ikuto even though she had a crush on Tadase. Parents were never around in the show, the whole climax was kind of disappointing and it seems like the creators just paired the other characters together as a couple because they are the leftovers. Like what are the possibilities that everyone in the school council-thingy are in love with each other?
Utau's music in the anime was the only good thing, Nana Mizuki did a great job singing. Art was your typical 2008 quality and wasn't that good either. Overall, I give it a 3. There are much better magical girls shows to watch than this, but you can still watch it if you are desperate.

Your simple, cliche love story. If you want a simple, sweet romance anime to watch because you are bored, then this show will work with you. If you want an anime with good characters, good plot and good development, this show kind of lacks all of it. Warning: Do not read the manga after the anime, everything else after the show ends gets worse and worse.
The main character is your basic "I attract too many boys and all my friends hate me cuz of it" vibes that is totally "relatable". While hiding from the rain one day she meets a boy who was hiding under
...
the same roof as her, and she falls in love. Said boy moves away and she never sees him again. Great plot because we all totally know she's going to meet him again because he is the main male lead.
Art is pretty good but the plot is just mediocre. The story gets even worse later in the manga, which is why I don't suggest reading the manga. Just watch the show, because the show is decent compared to the manga.
The music, especially the opening song, is really good. Probably the only reason why I watched the show to begin with, when my young 13 year old self romanticized high school life.
