White Album 2

First thing that came to my mind when I started watching White Album 2 was School Days. Both school-setting romance shows portray mature themes despite having teenagers as main characters. Love triangles, serious drama and misunderstandings are fundamental part of these shows. Also, both series manage to create dark and serious atmospheres very well every once in a while. Unexpected plot twists and difficult/unstable characters, though School Days contains gruesome stuff you will not see in WA. Very similar overall feeling.

Subete ga F ni Naru
|
When I remember the structure of Mouryou no Hako, I can see how much the show itself can relate to Subete ga F ni Naru. Both mystery shows portray a serious mix of murder and deep impactful dialogue. A group of different personalities are reunited by "fate" around certain murder cases and feel obliged to investigate and help to its resolution. There's a dark, tense atmosphere in both shows and they make it easier for a viewer to concentrate, but hard to memorize all the clues and important information regarding the crimes. Mouryou no Hako is a lot heavier in dialogue than Subete ga F ni Naru, and the latter is a lot more modern and has technology involved. It's way better to find the similarities by yourself, once you've seen both, recommended if you're seeking for mystery at its finest.

Ushio to Tora (TV)

Ushio to Tora and Hunter x Hunter are two well-crafted Shounen and Adventure works that share a few interesting similarities. Main characters are underage boys who were abandoned by one of their parents as little kids. After gaining some kind of power they travel around lots of places to find their lost parents as well so they can know the reasons for leaving them behind. As they travel, lots of obstacles, murderous beasts and dangers appear in front of their eyes. Both shows contain good comedy but also they manage to put up a nice dark environment every once in a while. The overall atmosphere is very similar, as well the characters. Growing up friendship it's a very important point in both series too.

Owari no Seraph
|
Generally speaking, Seraph of the End and Attack on Titan share a nice amount of similarities. Let's start off by our hot-blooded teenager main male character who has a clear objective: Kill all the titans (Shingeki no Kyojin) Kill all the vampires (Owari no Seraph). These creatures have taken away from our protagonist, dear family and friends in very painful ways. Later on they join the 'force' which will help them in order to get revenge against vampires/titans. Impulsive, stubborn and reckless main characters with a bunch of friends behind trying to stop them from doing stupid things, as expected, hardly ever works. Despite SnK being a little bit more bloody and heartbreaking than Seraph, if you have seen one of these series, you will see the reflection of the other even in the dialogues. Action, plot twists, apocalyptic setting and humanity survival, strong friendship bonds and bloody battles are part of these two intense pieces of work.

With a supernatural environment, our both white-haired main guys are fox spirits taking care of our main girl which in Kamisama Hajimemashita is a highschool girl and also a deity, and in Gugure! Kokkuri-san is a elementary school little girl who thinks she's a doll. While in Gugure! there's no romance, at least not between the main characters, in Kamisama there is. With a few differences, at least both have the same premise, the hot guys protecting the main girl, a lot of comedy, funny side characters and a slightly relaxing story to watch.

Being these two mangas very different, for one being a single story and the other shares the main story with a couple of one-shots, they share a lot of similarities. First, the art is something that easily draws attention, though in Koisuru Bitch-kun is more clumsy, drawn by a new mangaka, both are absolutely beautiful, with such cute character design and expressions. Second, the stories. Let's not get into the 'uke-seme' category and let's just describe the characters in both mangas as ridiculously lovely guys. It's quite easy fall in love with the main characters because they portrait their emotions into their partners in a really cute way. If you're fond of cute stories, with cute characters, and some hot scenes, go read these two manga. If don't like the unnecessary drama, and just want to smile while reading some sweet Boys Love, pick up these two, you won't regret it.
