THIS REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS.
This anime is a short and sweet 3-minute-per-episode comedy that delivers exactly what it advertises and doesn't overstay its welcome.
OVERVIEW
To put it simply, it was a pleasant watching experience. The comedy isn't over-the-top and annoying, and what I mean by "isn't annoying" is because of the fact that the character's don't really talk at all throughout the show, they don't rely too heavily on girls with high-pitched voices screaming and overreacting in order to emphasize a scene's comedic nature. Although, one small issue I have with this series is the sexualization of one of the main characters, Momoko. But, then again,
...
I can't really say that's surprising at all.
STORY
There really isn't much story to this, it's mostly episodic in nature. However, I did really enjoy the flashback episodes where they showed how the two other main girls, namely Mayumi and Shibumi, met Momoko. It's nice that they managed to fit some history and stuff into the tiny tiny tame frame.
ART
The art looks okay. It's nothing outstanding, but it isn't bad at all either.
SOUND
The music fits the skits well, and the ending theme doesn't sound too bad either. The "voice acting", which is pretty much limited to grunts and other assorted noises is pretty great, honestly. Especially Mayumi's — you really get a sense of the emotions that the character is feeling, and from the second I first heard her make her noises, I knew exactly what type of character she's supposed to be.
CHARACTER
With only 12 episodes, each 3 minutes long, there was never really much room for character development, so obviously there is none. But, like I said earlier, the flashback episodes did a good job of highlighting each character's personality. As an added bonus, the fact that there's no dialogue forces them to work even harder to be expressive, in order to let us, the viewer, understand what is going on.
ENJOYMENT
As you can probably guess by reading all of that, I really enjoyed Joshi Kausei. I really don't understand the other reviewers' dissatisfaction with this series. It's a cute girls doing cute things series, and as far as those go, this is pretty good. The girls have good chemistry, they were cute and they did cute things. What more could you be looking for?
TL;DR, I liked the show because it was funny go watch right now
