I did enjoy the begging of the show. It's clearly a satire on a lot of Shonen and it felt a bit in the vain of Konosuba or one punch man. Definitely not as good as those but very enjoyable however.

The end 4 episodes is just all lame fights and unnecessary villain back story and Mash being like "you seem ok" despite them explicitly stating thee goals are mass murder and eugenics which is basically what the whole world was stopping the Axis powers lead by Germany from doing in WW2.

Sure the joke of people reacting to Mash was still there but 30 ... seconds of a repeat ed joke doesn't make for entertainment. Gone is the good jokes the light hearted episodes. Now we have bad pacing and bed exposition from characters I'd like to see murded in what is now just a crappy Shonen. I will try the second season but I am not hopeful that there will be anything to hold my interest

I'm a big fan of Berserk and I picked this up because I thought it'd be an interesting read and I'm always excited about anything Berserk.

I personally didn't love it. It felt like a poor imitation of what a Berserk story would be. It felt like it was just trying to deliver what people would expect from something that says Berserk.

One light novel just doesn't really have the ability to capture the complexity of character that makes Berserk the Master work I love.

If you like Berserk it's an okay read. I wouldn't really recommend it to very many people. If it was longer ... maybe it could have done a better slow build with characters and the plot.

Overall it's a bit of pulpy fun but it's not more than that. It hasn't stuck in my brain much

I didn't even love the art that much which was sad
