Shocking how so many people think this show is even good, smh why can't Japan make a proper harem and stick to a single genre not tryna mesh fantasy to try and copy it's popular predecessors

Also Ayano or Sharon is miles better than Kisara (she ain't bad tho) but ofc first girl syndrome, and add another loli, a relative too, that will have zero chance, the absolute state of harem and romcringe

I wouldn't recommend this show, don't bother, this type of shows needs to completely die out

I don't mind overpowered mc and I particularly like harems but this ain't it, this is the corniest shit I've ever seen as opposed to rpg type demon lord/hero yada yada shows or harems or both

I expected the show will get the usual hate overpowered mc and generic harem does but I actually find the score pretty high and the comments positive, I never waste my time on subjective reviews, all reviews are subjective period, especially here on MAL

The thing that bothered me most of the show is how narcissistic or was in guise of being narcissistic for comedic purposes probably but it ain't funny ... while you'll get that 90% of every episode and 95% of the entire show the mc being narcissistic for comedic purposes, now I don't have problem with narcissistic mc or any character but this show do that like it doesn't know if they're tryna be comedic or serious, it's a little bit of both but that's exactly why it's so corny

As for something subjective I'd like to add I don't like it when a harem have a side couple, fcuk that shit, every girl should be thirsty for the mc or just don't make it a harem at all

Wow that was bad, wasted potential, zero plot progression, little to nothing romantic build up, imagine having a title like that but with a story that has nothing to do with it in it's 12 episodes, the plot clashes with iska's motivation so he won't take neither Alice or Sisbell's offers, which is dumb, coz basically there's no progress in this 12 episodes, what a complete waste of time smh

Honestly the maid is best girl, if only she were a desirable route, hate-love romance is always the best

Regardless, it doesn't really matter who's better with an MC like that, his motivation clashes with the plot, ... so he won't take neither Alice or Sisbell's offers, hence zero plot progression, little to nothing romantic build up, this garbage passive MC can't unlocked the potential of any heroine

Geez why do they keep making a harem with an MC with zero romantic motivation and dense at the same time, not saying that those with extreme motivation are any better but at least completely get it rid off the dense character trope, zero romantic motivation in a harem is such a weak excuse and just an absolute waste and the ultimate delay button to prolong their already non progressive lazy generic cheap writing

Worst harem series I've ever seen and it's not even officially a harem

I don't get why not just make a regular romance where there's multiple focused couple, instead you have 3 girls who's clearly in love with the MC and they just went for their 2nd options SMH just because first girl always win, worse is worst girl won, and not just your typical worst girl on the series, I mean worst first girl ever, worst main girl ever, only reason she won is because she's the designated first girl, Nana stayed with the MC for decades probably even a century but nah, first girl ... gotta win coz of some promise and a boob grab and coz MC guilty for killing her father, I actually supported JailxNana but then you just gotta show how Nana was there for Licht for decades only to lose the worst first girl ever, and lastly Lynn's my personal favorite but come on, least you could do was LynnxJail but it's gotta be that Pele dude who did nothing but stand there while Jail or Licht saved Lynn countless times

Triela is best girl, best cyborg, with Hillshire best fratello and best character of the series

Beatrice underrated af should've gotten more screentime

Rico became likeable halfway through the series, she was my least favorite in the first half

Petrushka - great couple, honestly ship them but I call BS when they met, Sandro didn't picked up on her suicidal behavior when he's supposed to be amazing in cold reading

Angelica - the feels bro, I didn't expect to cry, damn you Marco

... Claes - everyone dead muh garden

Henrietta never liked her idk, i get why ppl like her she indeed adorable, og P90 user not that pink bootleg but she boring added when I found out Jose is not genuine in his kindess towards her after I went for the manga coz season 2 of the anime went total moe crap, was surprised he's a fake, regardless they're boring and the least interesting fratello, and that double suicide was dumb af, Henrietta could've for at least another year making her latest conditioning that made her emotionless a waste, Jose needn't take Henrietta with him there's no enemy anymore

Would've gave it a 7/10 but that damn cop out, ass pull, seriously all it takes was the Pope's statement? Calling massive BS

Contrary to the majority, I don't dislike Ryuu one bit, in fact he's interesting af, he reads "troubled" women like a mirror and are attracted to them, no surprise the author is a woman so she knows the ideal alpha male, all male harem authors should take note

IDK why most readers would want them to leave him when the whole premise is tackling the pros and cons of polygamy SMH it's like saying Light is evil each and every episode of DN, preaching one's own ego ugh!!

Low-key disappointed, it didn't utilize it's full potential, it hold back, if there's a sequel, Urara better join ... the harem and Madoka should've frozen some eggs ahead (hope she did) and Rin is clearly not Ryuu's son

My biggest criticism on it is most it's drama and conflict are shallow and glorified, especially with Joe like fr he just gave up? Lame and lazy writing

The characters are all meh except Ryuu (surprisingly) and I came here for the girls (at the beginning I thought Koharu was way out of league of the other two but then the nerfing happened or Koharu just became prettier and hotter later, long hair Madoka is defo an upgrade, Yuzu got nerfed hard, short hair Koharu is peak Koharu

Overall I'm low-key satisfied with the ending even though it didn't take full advantage of it's potential

PS the art is sublime, the art carried the show tbh

I'll go straight to the point coz this review will be more on characters so yeah if you're into slight NTR then go, this also is quite raepey, and lastly the synopsis is misleading, it's more like moral degeneration rather than the actual synopsis written, yeah NTR and moral degeneration, you heard that right after all the author is a hen artist

It's hilarious how people hate on Yoshino just because she's a little bitchy but if we count the crimes/wrong deeds we'll see who's the biggest and bigger evil

Top 3 biggest evil

1. Ema = The biggest evil, pedo rapist, sexually harassed an underage girl and ... corrupted her
2. Anna = Second biggest evil, the only justifying her actions are because she's young and naive and but you can't deny she used all three girls, did Miku wrong, did Ema wrong, did Yoshino wrong, without the justifications and because she has been victimized and corrupted by Ema, she should have been the biggest morally wrong character of the show
3. Yoshino = she acts a little bitchy but find me where she did wrong besides acting bitchy, yes, she mentally hurt Ema but we later knew that's just her role playing personality kink and actually cares for Ema, Yoshino and Ema's relationship can be justified with a poor conversation skills, they're both bad at it so their incompatible but neither of them is in the wrong, inb4 also a pedo, yes but the difference with Ema's one sided sexual assaults, is when Miku and Yoshino did it, Miku initiated it and it was mutual

Almost forgot, she's also the reason why Anna did not became the monster that they described her to be and pull her on the right path along with Miku

Also credit her slight pushes towards Ema when they work together coz Ema always depress

Top 1 angel and best girl

1. Miku = the only one who DID NOTHING WRONG but love, got victimized and used multiple times and remain pure and find a real one

Overall

When Miku and Yoshino are more interesting than the boring main couple 4/10

The joke/plot/everything got old in the first half of episode 1

I remembered thinking halfway in episode 1 oh this will just be another 1/10 in my entries sigh

One dimensional like Kaguya san and Takagi san

You already know they still won't get what love is until the last episode or for who knows how long the manga is going

They'll try to prove their feelings, they still won't get it, rinse and repeat

... Ibarada is best girl and the only likeable character, the rest are detestable boring and generic

A complete snoozefest from start to finish

Having said that even with Ibarada focus would be snoozefest coz her love interest is just as boring as the main couple

I feel like people are unable to be critical of this show probably bcoz of nostalgia and the lack of boxing anime

Coz IMO it's very overrated, like some people already pointed out, those gear would kill people if we talk realistically, like people already dies irl boxing with just gloves, and those are metals like wth

As for the story, nobody seems to noticed the rinse and repeat patern of Joe and his coach, coach wouldn't trust Joe for the entire episode, Joe or the kid will convince the coach somehow and the coach will pull a very heartwarming speech that this is it I am ... definitely trusting you Joe we gonna win everything sike, rinse and repeat, this happened like 5 or 6 times in a span of 13 episodes, when drama comes the coach will be back to not trusting Joe lol, it happened when their mafia boss suddenly backout and wants to sell the fight again, then when that war veteran and when Joe was about to get exposed as an underground sellout those are just the few examples of this rinse and repeat pattern with them

Another problem I have is when Joe is so happy to see the champion without his gear like what that contradicts with his whole personality, and obviously the guy lost I mean he almost die just by removing the gear

3/10 this is probably me being lenient just coz there's no hateable character here
