A heavy and thoughtful adventure into a seemingly mundane topic. The story follows the MC, an Ethics teacher, as he attempts to teach his class about the topic while at the same time following his own code of ethics as best as possible. The topics mentioned vary from very dark to very mundane but each chapter introduces us to another new idea.
Story: 8
Quite enjoyable if you like somewhat philosophical work. Some chapters can seem heavy-handed or hamfisted but never boring.
Art: 10
The artist does a fantastic job with detailed pages (and teach's turtleneck) and exaggerated, human expressions. Characters
...
are distinct with their own quirks and styles.
Character: 8
The characters are quite interesting in their own way, expressing themselves through different speaking patterns and mannerisms. It's too early to see how they'll develop, but I believe the author won't let us down.
Overall: 9
Definitely a unique little manga to try. Don't pick it up if you're looking for a school comedy or cutesy slice of life. Don't even expect to agree with the author/MC's opinion on all of these topics. But if you want an exciting journey into ETHICS, there's only one place.

Kasane is a manga which ends up defying expectations (I know, I know). The premise is obviously a stereotypical kid gains superpowers gimmick, but don't let that decide the value of this manga. Give her a few chapters to get into her groove, she's a child, she's learning.
Story: 8
Kasane is not a happy-go-lucky story. It tackles difficult subjects such as ugliness, privilege, differing worldviews, and the unfairness of life in general. The story can linger too long in some arcs, and rush through, but overall forms a dark cohesive web that will ensnare you, if you let it.
...
Art: 7
Kasane's style is very much focused on the characters. We won't see sweeping battlelines and epic battles here. What we do have are very personal details. Expressive hands, eyes, and body language. One minor criticism I have is that the female characters blend occasionally blend together.
Character: 9
This manga's jewels are its characters. They throw themselves into the world around them, and are buffeted mercilessly by reality. They have goals that evolve and change, and they respond to them, sometimes better than others. And morality be damned.
Enjoyment: 10
It's been sometime since I had a character not aligned with the light, yet not covered in edge. Are some characters evil for the sake of being evil? Perhaps. But that's just how it is isn't it? I could only sit back and enjoy the twisted yet beautiful world.
Overall: 8
I applaud the author for working to bring this story to light and letting it grow over so many volumes. It's not a story for everyone. But if you're looking for a twisted guilty pleasure, let the story steal your face for a few hours.

Disclaimer: Novel reader > Biased
The story is based on the All-Stars event which, like any other all-stars event, is meant to showcase the players. An issue that anime-only viewers will experience is confusion as the OVA gives head-nods to all the titans in the scene gathered together for this spectacle.
(8) Story: The story progresses fast and effectively, highlighting themes such as passing the torch and personal struggle while introducing a myriad of characters onto the screen.
(7) Art: The characters aren't as stylized as in Season1, but the animation quality of battles and the arena are very much adequate and pleasing
...
to watch.
(7) Sound: No complaints personally. The use of sound works well in emotional moments (though without a hint of subtlety).
(9) Enjoyment: I thought the package went together very well. The story was direct, to the point, and highlighted the different clubs and their personalities without going into very much exposition. Some moments will appear corny to some viewers, but hey, it's an anime about e-sports. I'll let it slide.
(8) Overall: A fun addendum to Season 1, this easily leaves me wanting more.

This is one of those shows where what you expect is probably not what you get. But I was entertained enough to keep watching despite all its flaws. I was watching, to quote reddit, "reddit on a bus." That is, a bunch of random characters with barely hidden flaws go off on a journey.
Story: 7
Very... different idea. The story progresses at a decent rate with twists and turns to reach a relatively satisfying conclusion. Don't go in expecting a Higurashi or a Shiki.
Art: 5
Mediocre. The art is fairly basic, that's really all there is to
...
say. Colors are good, atmosphere is decent. The CG is jarring. That being said it's still fairly watchable.
Sound: 7
I didn't mind the soundtrack. VA's did their jobs. Nothing too amazing, but it fit the series.
Character: 8
I'm heavily biased since I thought many of the characters were hilarious. Are they shallow? Very. Are many of them boring? Perhaps. But they're a bit more nuanced than they appear. For a 12 episode to eventually familiarize everyone with all the characters, one-dimensional that some may be, is in itself a feat.
Enjoyment: 7
I enjoyed the show, laughing with it, laughing at it, etc etc. You won't have a masterpiece here. Expect that going in, and it might be worth your while.
Overall: 7
Mayoiga attempts a lot in its short time. Don't watch this as your hype anime of the week. Watch it between. It may be a semi-amusing part of your day. Don't go in expecting a horror. Instead join for the character and the light mystery if they amuse you.

So um, Super Powered Mongolia Invasion is actually not about Mongols at all. Well they are there but... only for the first chapter.
Story - 7
What if instead of discovering steam and electricity we discovered...well...giant limbs? This is the story of our world developing with giant limbs as locomotion. Is it original? Surely. Is it entertaining? Likely. It is coherent? No. No, no, no.
Art - 8
The art style is very detailed and very bloody. Keep away from people who have a lot of nightmares, as there is a lot of night-mare
...
fuel.
Character - 3
I think there was a memorable character in there somewhere. But that's not the point. Developing a character goes contrary to the writing.
Enjoyment - 7
This is highly variable. If you enjoy a complete random adventure drawn with excellent art quality, this is your cup of tea. Unfortunately none of the extremely interesting ideas were much expanded, leaving much to be desired.
Overall - 6
There is a high chance you will enjoy some of this lucid dream. I certainly did, but as a novelty. If you don't like the first chapter you definitely won't like the rest.

Story - 9
Two childhood friends play pingpong. I have no idea how to describe the masterpiece I just saw beyond that. It's an emotional rollercoaster of a sports anime with all the necessary qualities of one (teachers, rivals, tournaments, etc). It's a coming-of-age story about them and everyone around them. Not the most original, but it doesn't have to be when it does it SO well.
Art - 7
The art is phenomenal in its own way. It's watching a parade of highschool sketches coupled with a distorted realism that you probably haven't seen elsewhere. Characters are portrayed as
...
ugly, imperfect, and exaggerated. The art is therefore very hit-or-miss, and mainstream viewers will likely be turned off by this.
Sound - 8
Sound is for the most part excellent. There are pump songs, melancholic songs, etc, and they are played mostly expertly. One particular theme song annoyed me due to its simple and repetitive nature, but it fit the narrative so *shrug*. Of note is the fact that the Mandarin (there is mandarin) is spot and if you can understand it, that's definitely a plus. The Engrish on the other hand...more cringey and a little forced, though that could have been by design as well.
Character - 10
Here's where the meat is. The characters begin as established archetypes. It is when they clash that the beauty of the show comes into play. Characters meet, play, grow, and change. I can honestly say there weren't any characters I was unsatisfied with by the end of the show.
Enjoyment - 9
I watched this show in one sitting. I opened it up expecting a sports anime where I'd feel pumped for the matches. I left with little beads of wetness in my eyes as my favorite character suffered a defeat. There were no cartoon villains here, only people.
Overall - 10
I have no idea what they could have done to make the show better. The choices were acceptable, dialogue wasn't cringey or forced. It was just...great.

Story:
I'm going to say 9. The story is not nearly complete as it covers only the first LN. Anyone looking for a concrete ending will probably be disappointed. That being said, it ends after wrapping up an arc nicely.
Story is in a 'Werewolf' or 'Mafia' game setting. Immediately you know you're going to be treated to a lot of analysis, speculation, and lies. If you like that kind of stuff, you're in for a treat.
Art:
The background images are very pretty and character designs are creative. Combat between humans is clean and enjoyable. Non-humans
...
are made from invasive CG and it doesn't mesh well. There are numerous animation errors and lots of still images.
Sound:
Nothing to complain about here. Music is well placed and enhances the atmosphere. Sound effects are clean. Voice acting is well done.
Character:
The characters are interesting and refreshing. They all have well constructed personalities and generally are not limited to a single archetype.
Enjoyment:
As someone who enjoys twists and well-developed characters, I found this show fantastic. If you are looking for combat heavy material however, you may be disappointed. The CG battles can be quite jarring and the art quality might dampen your experience.
Overall:
If you like dialogue heavy shows with lots of twists then this is definitely one for you. I was genuinely surprised by several things in the show. Some parts were cheeky enough to make me giggle.
