A review of a masterpiece? Yes, yes that's exactly what this is. Yes I will compare it with the manga but only when necessary.
Shingeki no Kyojin (SnK,) is one of the most amazing anime series of all time and it fully deserves its hype. A story of humanity, remorse, will, courage, revenge, sadness, life, death, suffering, carnage, military, the list continues... If these are aspects that you like in anime then this is definitely for you. If you like slice of life, comedy and dislike anything sad then walk away, walk far away. SnK made me cry more than any other anime, mainly because
...
of how emotionally enveloped I was with the story. Don't judge a book by its cover, in this case anime, yes there are unclothed man-eating giants running around, grow up and watch it, you get over that fact pretty quickly.
Story - 10/10 - The story follows the storyline of the manga almost exactly, the anime is set in chronological order while the manga jumps from past to present, the anime also adds a few scenes of epicness. The story starts out intense and then gets a tad boring for some during the military training episodes, don't drop it. It gets so much more intense. If you want to avoid spoilers then don't look up anything! The anime does end at a cliffhanger and fans are waiting for the highly anticipated season two, if it bothers you enough then catch up on the manga. The anime cuts off right before the really good stuff starts, new chapters come out every month, I recommend it if you're as impatient as I am. But if you can wait then wait, the anime is much better. It is a psychological anime to an extent, there are way more unknowns then knowns which can be frustrating yes, but that factor creates a sense of suspense which actually is a fantastic touch and makes the story even more enjoyable. Grab a box of tissues, close all the curtains, have something to hug, and give SnK a well deserved marathon.
Art - 9/10 - Some people have issues with the animation... The animation is spectacularly done for its budget. The perspective isn't first person however, it's just as up close and personal, giving you a front row seat of the characters' suffering and the clear carnage of the situation. The character design is very original, the titans are drawn incredibly terrifying in the beginning and their quality dwindled some later on, however, I didn't even notice it until Gigguk pointed it out in his review of the anime. The animation is highly enjoyable and is fantastic during the fighting scenes especially, it flows superbly.
Sound - 10/10 - This soundtrack... Is orgasm worthy. Composed by the amazing Hiroyuki Sawano, it features Japanese, German, and English OSTs that get your heart beating fast as they keep you on the edge of your seat. If you enjoyed Guilty Crown's soundtrack, then you'll love SnK's, Hiroyuki-san composed them both.
Character - 9/10 - The story mainly focuses on Eren and his path of revenge, however it's a nice vantage point for the story. The anime has many characters and show cases them in a nice fashion. Information wise, we know just about as much as Eren. SnK features some of the most loved characters, everyone has a favourite. The relationships between the characters... I think this is what really made the anime as sad as it was. Even if those relationships weren't as detailed as others, they still displayed emotional attachments. Fangirls rave on Levi while fanboys rave for Mikasa, everyone gets to rave about someone, all the characters are epic. The character quotes are fantastic and every character is incredibly real.
Enjoyment - 10/10 - I enjoyed this anime like crazy, I'm a die hard fan, and if you asked me to join the Wings of Freedom/Scouting Legion I would gladly put my life on the line like the other characters. I'm excited for more of the series, based on what I know of the manga, season two is definitely worth the wait. I don't usually shed tears while watching anime, SnK made me bawl like a baby X3 and I respect it for doing so.
Overall - 10/10 - SnK showcases the full extent of military themes, sacrifice, human fragility, and revenge. It's a must watch for many, just be sure to have tissues! :3

I heard very nice things about this anime and how it was very nicely yandere themed... No one warned me of how awful it was therefore I thought I'd make a review of it (I'll try my best not to make it into a rant ^^' ).
Frankly as terrible as I consider this anime to be, I honestly say give it a watch. It's pretty didactic (it teaches a lesson,) and if you're a yandere fanatic then by all means watch the anime that began to popularize yanderes. There is also the visual novel version which looks to be better, I've never played it
...
but one day I might.
Story - 6/10 - So basically School Days is your average harem/slice of life/ecchi anime, I'm leaving it at that because I'd rather not spoil it. However the ending was wonderful, not to the extent to which I wanted it to be but still good. If you don't feel like wasting five hours (plus countless more hours of ranting...) of your life watching this, then by all means look up the epic ending on YouTube. I have heard of fans brought to tears by the ending, I wasn't, I cheered :3
Art - 7/10 - The animation is pretty average quality and style of its time. The colours used were particularly dark and faded which were a nice touch.
Sound - 8/10 - The music for this anime is spectacular, it's basically the entire reason that I don't fully regret watching this anime. It features a great soundtrack and different ending themes for the episodes done by various artists with ironic (in regards to the anime,) lyrics and other lyrics that'll cause you to tear up. The final song used is just... Epic. Sang by the lovely Ito Kanako and features heartbreaking lyrics.
Character - 6/10 - School Days features one of the most hated main characters ever, I despise Makoto and I know many others who do so as well. Makoto is a playboy who is either super dense or completely incapable of feeling remorse. It takes him eight episodes to realize how much of a terrible person he is, does he change? No. The two main female characters (Kotonoha and Sekai,) display what lengths some girls go to for a guy (yandere lengths to be exact). Bring out the pity party and the criticizing, some people respond with pity, some people judge the characters as superbly dense, others like me feel a mixture of the two. The rest of the characters are similar to each other and don't develop much.
Enjoyment - 5/10 - I had to force myself to finish this anime, I wanted to drop it countless times, but I stuck through to see the ending which was partially spoiled for me. The ending wasn't enough to satisfy me. I did watch a few of the other visual novel endings which made me feel a bit better and a few AMVs on YouTube. Will I ever watch it again? Absolutely not. Will I rewatch the ending with it's masterpiece background music? Of course.
Overall - 6/10 - I rate nicely, so keep that in mind. If you don't feel like watching this anime in its entirety, then watch the ending, listen to the soundtrack, don't be a playboy/playgirl, and go tell your significant other that you love them dearly.

This is my first review, I'll try to keep it as unbiased as I possibly can (Blood-C is one of my all time favourites). I rate pretty nicely so keep that in mind.
Deciding whether you'll love this anime as much as I did or hate it depends on your mainly your tastes. So if you're a fan of psychological, gore, mystery, an underlying love/hate relationship, and a little school life then this is for you. If you don't like blood and gore then perhaps you should just walk away from this one. If you love revenge plots then you could consider this a build
...
up/prequel to the revenge plot of Blood-C: The Last Dark.
It's a part of the Blood franchise but you don't necessarily have to have seen the previous series to enjoy Blood-C, I for one haven't seen any of the previous works. Keep an open mind and don't compare it so much to the rest, if you do then you might not enjoy it as much.
Story - 8/10 - The storyline is basically your average psychological/mystery. As the story progresses it turns increasingly dark as you begin to gather pieces of the mystery through the protagonist Saya's mind. Although it's an average plot that doesn't mean that it can't be enjoyable. It is a short series so the plot isn't too complex and lacks detail that you'd have to hunt through the manga to find, and it is complex enough to keep you entertained episode by episode. However it does end at a cliffhanger so you'll have to watch the sequel movie Blood-C: The Last Dark.
Art - 10/10 - If you're a fan of CLAMP's animation style then you'll love Blood-C's animation. The animation was clean and crisp, and was never lazy. The character designs were cohesive with the apparent black and red colour scheme, and remained simple in a nice way. The backgrounds were beautiful as well. The blood and gore was very nicely done, and the gorey parts in beautiful detail as well. The fighting scenes were enjoyable and were complex and challenging enough for Saya that you'll stay entertained during every enemy battle Saya partakes in.
Sound - 10/10 - This soundtrack was simply amazing. The cheerful and innocent music contrasting well with the dark and suspenseful music was a nice touch. It suited the show well, especially with how it played off of what Saya was feeling. The voice actors in Japanese were great, the English dub is also pretty good. In a sub vs dub debate I'd have to say sub, Saya's voice sounds more natural and the voice actress plays her part amazingly well.
Character - 9/10 - The character development was mainly just that of Saya Kisaragi, the other characters didn't have much development. Saya's mind throughout the length of Blood-C was a heartbreaking place and her pain was clearly portrayed, you got to understand her at a nice level with the external conflict as well as her internal conflict. I found Saya to be very inspiring as well, she suffers quite a bit in the plot and yet always finds the strength to stand up and follow through with her plans (especially in the Last Dark sequel).
Enjoyment - 10/10 - I. Loved. It. It kept me on my toes. I knew nothing about Saya going in and so everything that was new to her was new to me. It will always remain a favourite of mine.
Overall - 10/10
