I heard about Bocchi before it started airing and I saw it was a Band anime and - I'm guessing here - like most Anime only people for this series I thought 'Oh K'On clone' and thought I'd check it out, well by week 5 I've completely forgotten about it and then stumbled upon a gif of Bocchi being Bocchi and the video of her explaining how she is and I was stunned. THIS is Bocchi the Rock?!

guitar while NOTHING in social progress and I was hooked.
Everything about it is fantastic, from story, acting ability by the entire cast (I only found out recently that Seika is the same Seiyuu as Rikka from Chuuninbyo!) to one of the most fun and interesting animated series I've ever seen, some of Bocchi's internal thoughts are so amazing in both their simplicity and expressive nature, (I mean WHO creates a custom figure to put a scene of the Game of Life that 90% of people won't recognise as it's just that short!?! That's brilliant!)
This is beyond my expectations and it's the single best shocker anime of the year, Bocchi stole Best Girl of the Year deservedly so and I want more.
It doesn't get a 10 for the tiny bits I see here and there that look to be CG models, but as they're doing a ton of massively expressive animation everywhere else I don't blame them for cutting a tiny corner for a few small scenes of them when playing instruments.
