I am not usually compelled to write a review on an anime, even if it was what I considered good. But with Hourou Musuko, I had to make an exception.
This review is written after watching 11 episodes.
I have seen many animes that touch on the idea of gender benders and opposite gender plays but never have I seen an entire anime dedicated to portraying the life of a teenage boy with his own gender identification crisis. The story takes you long with Nitori, our main character, who sets out to discover how he really feels about himself (or herself).

After watching this anime movie at 3:40 a.m., I absolutely had to blog about my experience watching it. This movie had me on edge the entire way.
Starting from a simple laid-back family household to a world crisis, this movie explores both romance and action in, what I considered to be, flawless execution. The comedy and the action scenes really blend in well with the pinch of drama. Although I did find it kinda funny how the big fight came down to some gambling, the movie never wavered in holding my attention.
