I'm surprised no one else has made this recommendation. Kingdom and One piece is similar in that the main characters are really powerful BUT we join their story to see them grow and become stronger, and both main characters set out to be high ranking person one being king of pirates and the other being a great general. And both manga's have really strong side characters that give a real impact in the story and to the reader, showing that someone who initially looks strange; then becomes such a memorable character. Although the only big difference is that One Piece is fantasy and Kingdom is history, but it could be said that history created fantasy.

They both have a story that is a battle royale style, being that they are both like kill or be killed. Both main protaganists are represented as innocent through out the story. Both also have a sense of mystery, Mirai Nikki being that its the mystery of other peoples future diaries and Danganronpa being that its the mystery's of murders etc. Both share the themes of psychological and horror.

Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic

Both of the main protagonists are young inspired boys. Both characters Gon and Aladdin show improvement, and they make people around them really happy. There are also similarities such as the Hunter test being a challenge and the dungeons in Magi that are basically tests to find kings. The quality of both shows are similar and so is the art style. If you like Hunter x Hunter (2011) then you would love Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic, and if you read the manga's you will see that there are some similarities such as war against 2 species and the wars of countries and kings.
